Yes, I was there yesterday Sandy. I dropped off my resume, application with entire work history, and college transcripts. They said I'd be contacted about the job. It's a job in an area that I have a lot of experience, with the exception of PeopleSoft software. I can learn new programs quickly though and let them know that on my application. Maybe I'll have a shot at this one, we'll see.

Hey, did anyone watch the Jerry Lewis telethon? My son Nik was on there and they did a shout out to his friend Joey who has MD and Nik as his friend. He was all over the tv in his Dominick's tshirt. Still not sure how he hooked up with Dominck's. LOL

Sandy, I learned the hard way that bees lives in the ground. I stood on one of their nests and they were all over me before I even knew it. We were working in the yard and I guess I got too close with my lawnmower. It was the scariest thing. Good thing I wasn't allergic to them.

Well, I am officially "sick" with something. Woke up this morning with my right eye swollen and watery. It's very red but doesn't hurt or itch. I'm assuming it's allergies since I don't have a fever. I do have a scratchy throat and by afternoon I get a sinus headache. I went to the store and got some Zyrtec (the generic kind) and just took one a little bit ago. It makes me sleepy but I don't care. I just want to feel better.

I opened my back door to let the sunshine in for the cats now that I have the storm door up. I just looked and Tigger is stretched out on the rug basking in the sunshine! What a life.......

The steroid drops are working! Eye doc saw a significant improvement. Got one more week, then taper for two, and go back to see him

Wiz - PeopleSoft is what Darden Restaurants use for their employee portal. My DH is a manager at Olive Garden, so I am familiar with navigating it with him for benefits, etc. I don't think you would have any problems learning about it. Good luck with your search.

Kelly - I want to rub that cat's belly! Better yet, curl up in the sun with him. It's so freaking cold in my office that my nose and hands are cold. I don't like hot, but I'm not a fan of cold either.

Everyone else with classes, bees, eye problems, kids, etc. ((((hugs)))) I already lost track of it all.


As for me, I spent a lovely morning at the neuro-opth office. Bottom line is that she has changed her mind about putting prisms on glasses for me. She thinks my convergence is better than last time. She thinks that more of my problems with reading / computer is the eye movement problems (nystagmus & dysmetria). So, I just have to live with it and play with the doses of Baclofen and Klonipin to dampen it down.

You know what? I'm really sick of the crap. I'm tired of being an unusual / interesting case. I have a neuro who will tell me he isn't really sure what's going on, it acts like MS, but it is atypical but definitely is a demyelinating disease. So we treat sx and I can have IVSM when I need it. The neuro-opth seemed pretty convinced last year that this was MS, but then today seemed like she wasn't sure anymore - probably because my OCT and visual fields are still good.

They confuse me and I get tired. What if we are missing something somewhere? It feels like we are stuck in a rut. I'm on a merry go round that I can't get off - we just keep doing the same things over and over with the same results. Honestly, if I could live without the drugs, I would stop seeing doctors. So many things have been suggested and ruled out and the only thing they seem to look at now is MS, but I'm atypical. It feels like they ran out of ideas.

I know I shouldn't complain because I have a good neuro who is willing to treat me and refer me to other specialists to help me. He didn't kick me to the curb. He flat out tells me to just tell people it's MS because that is the closest fit, but sometimes that just doesn't feel like enough.

I guess I just have lingering thoughts about wanting a firm answer. I don't care if it is MS or something else, just so long as we get it right. What if I have something more treatable? I know the neuro doesn't think I do, but that nags at me.

I guess that is my little rant today. I'm just tired of the doctor merry go round.

Anyway, I hope your neuro can give you a more substantive answer. That would be getting to me too. I'd probably be a bee in their proverbial bonnets though so they'd probably stick a name to it and be done with it, lol.

Your baby is soooo cute. I recently bought new throw rugs to go on the new flooring. I bought this one floral patterned round rug for my desk area but it wasn't big enough. Rocky fell in love with it though because it's made out of wool. So I kept it and put it at the top of the basement stairway. He looks so cute when he naps on his pretty flowered rug, lol.

Well guys, the bee killer had to put his bee suit on. The nest is THAT bad. He couldn't dig it up because it's too dangerous. So, he put a powder on the ground that will be carried by the bees that go in and out. He said we shouldn't see bees in about 72 hours but not to even go near the bush for 24 hours. WOW!

I made it in by mid-week this time! Seems life is just too busy lately. We spent most of the weekend just relaxing and BBQing with neighbors.

Kelly, hope you feel better this afternoon. We have had lots of rain moving through... leaves me drained and achy each time. But allergies are better here... rain washed away much of the pollen.

Sandy... yikes about the bees! I remember my dad getting into an underground bee nest while clipping once. Would not recommend his method of remedy! Got rid of them though . Hope the problem is easily solved for you.

Barb, your week sounds like ours... everything electronic in the house is going kaput. LCD tv is acting up, phones quit working, my computer overheats, and a ceiling fan light keeps turning off and on. It has a radio controlled remote... we wonder if a neighbor has one on the same channel! It will be a pain to take down the fixture to change the channel inside the fan unit. But at least it won't come on at 3am everyday!

had great travel to and from ... and the extra 3 viles taken today should tell us more ... and the 'blood' nurse kindly touched me on the hand to say that there are ALOT of other things that will elevate the liver enzymes .. and like Dejibo said ... it could of been a flair from the breathing issues!

I'm pooped, tho ... the thoughts and prayers worked ... and then they have me scheduled this monday (14th) for the CT scan ...
