Today, I went to an appt. with my new pcp. Yay, she is a keeper. I
am so happy as pcps are very hard to get appt. with and I have heard
she is pretty good.

Got some blood work to do...my blood pressure is up pretty high so it
looks like I am going to go on some meds. goodnews...I lost about
26 pounds since last may. Gotta keep that going. Also, she wants me
to get a new mri...its been about two years so its time.

so I see her again in a month.

Everyone go out and have a great day!
First of all, congrats on the weightloss. That is awesome!!!

I'm glad you found a keeper. I hope all the testing goes well.

Lastly, LOL on the waitress part. Sounds just like me when DBF's mom visits. I prefer to be the waitress/cook/hostess/housekeeper/whatever else as I don't have to listen to the gossipy garbage and the mean spirited carp that comes out of her mouth. I am so with you on that one. I guess it just our way of dealing with those types of people.

(((Fin))) - Not the break for MS you were looking for. I will keep you in my prayers.

Congrats on the gallery stuff. That is awesome! I admire you so much for your motivation and getting your work out there. That is fantastic!

Another busy day. Trying to get my new car tagged, but I don't have time to stand in line for 2 hours! Our county has a main office and 5 satellite offices... all have long lines.

Prayers and Hugs for those dealing with scary medical issues...
I'm readying ya'll posts, but limited online time right now.

Pam - Do you guys have an online thing? We have that here and it's great. I do have to wait in line to get the car emission tested but right after can come home and do the rest on line. They then just mail you the tags. It saves so, so much time.

Nice to see you here Pam. I hate those long lines at the dmv. They
recently closed one of the two local offices....It sure makes it a pain.

Morning all! Thanks for the kind words. I am thinking maybe I am not sweet enough because those little nasty buggers want to attack still! I went out to check and yep, they are still there. The bee guy said give it a full 24 hours before we even think about going near the bush. Ugh. If after 72 hours they are still there, we call him back. YIKES.

I am cleaning today getting ready for our reunion with old high school friends. It should be fun! to all.

Be careful Sandy....aren't you allergic to those bees?

Well, I had a long conversation with my BIL today. He seems to be doing okay. He said the funeral was hard on everyone. What I wasn't aware of was that his brother had also broken his back in the accident. He said if he had pulled through the surgery (for a torn aorta valve....not a head injury as I originally thought) he would have been paralyzed. Not a good outcome regardless.

It's dreary and overcast here today. We're supposed to have off and on rain for the next several days but at least the temps are holding in the low 80's.

This is my second day taking the generic Zyrtec. It seems to be helping with the congestion and watery eyes some but it makes me sleepy. Even half a pill makes me sleepy. Oh, and I woke up this morning with the beginnings of a fever blister so I'm sure that will be lovely come tonight.

I have no idea what we'll have for supper tonight. Zaxby's is looking pretty good 'bout right now! I just do not feel like doing anything.

My oldest son made dinner for his girlfriend last night. He wanted my recipe for meatloaf. He probably called me ten times within a half hour period to ask questions! How hard can making a meatloaf be?? I asked him today how it was and he said it was OK but mine was better!! I told him that's how it's supposed to be!!

Well, the washer just finished so I'd better go transfer clothes. My life is just so exciting!

for everyone.

Gosh, I'm going to have to have a pad of paper next to the 'puter so I can list all of the things posted here, 'cause I can't remember!
Sandy, I just remembered you running away from the bees at Sonics last year. Is this some sort of karma for you?
Fin,
Sox, great news about the weight loss..how'd ya do it?
Barb, gee I hope you get some results soon...remember, a squeaky wheel gets greased...

I cleaned all of the house except the basement and bedrooms in about 2 hrs. today...and now I'm resting...can't believe I used to clean the whole house in that time...I want a cleaning person. It would make things a lot easier for my old bod. Maybe it will be a good christmas present idea

I talked to my sister yesterday...she is so sick. Half of her heart is dead, yet she continues to smoke. She is on oxygen, and can't work as a nurse anymore (ironic...a nurse, and she smokes like a chimney). She told me she doesn't think she'll make it past Oct. We've had a spotty past as far as communicating is concerned, and this makes me feel sad, but she has made choices that have brought her to this point. I love her no matter what has gone on in the past...she has known me longer than any living being. We don't agree on much, but we love one another, and that's all that matters.

What a lovely week we're having in the Chicago area!! I think that this is the make up for a crummy summer...I'm reveling in it!
Have an absolutely wonderful evening, everyone!!

We do, but not for new cars. At least we don't have to do the emissions test....yet. Let them figure out they can make money doing it, I'm sure they will start!

I did drop by there, after 11am ...waited 45 minutes standing in line. At least it is done. In the future we can do the mail or online thing. Got her insured and now waiting for the old car to be fixed to hand down to oldest son... he can drive himself to school now! yeah! No more car sharing!!
