Good morning and happy monday everyone.

Pam and Kelly...our tomatoes had a rough year too due to all the rain. the
best you can say is "try again next year? lol

Kelly...the prices of groceries are ridiculous. I mean a loaf of bread(not
sale price) is 4 dollars! We go thru 3 or more a week! You
wouldnt want to know what my bill is, it is shameful.

fin..free desk?? Yay!

Vonn...sounds like you are feeling better. Good luck with the new
gentleman.

sandy...prayers going out to your cousin...may he be safe.

barb...hope you had fun with your friend.

sarah...how goes it??? I hope everything is going great!!! We miss
seeing you here.

wiz, tricia, debd, holly..... I hope you all had wonderful weekends.

Me: Busy weekend....Yesterday we went apple picking and on a hayride.
It was the perfect New England fall day, it was good to get outside.

Today I am baking bunches of cookies(oatmeal, oatmeal raisin, and m&m
sugar) to bring to a meeting this eve. GirlScouts starts on Wed. and myself
and 3 other moms are the leaders so we have to plan some things. All of
our kids will be there running around so who knows how much we will
accomplish.lol.

Another rough morning getting my youngest(6) off to school. These mornings
take a toll on me...he leaves crying then I cry for an hour after. I know
he loves hanging with his friends, I just dont know whats not letting him
have a great time some days. There are SOME days he comes home bursting
he has had so much fun...I have to figure out how to make him remember
that when he is struggling.

anywho......everyone have a great Monday!

Good gravy it's Monday! Busy week for me. I have some fun penciled in for the end of the week. Really, really looking forward to Thursday evening (guild meeting) and Friday evening (spinning demo at local fair). I'm working Saturday and have my fingers crossed that it will be it's usual slow day. Not going to hold my breath though as my place of employment has a booth this year for the first time at a three day fair this week. I fear I could be mobbed on Saturday and I am the only one on the schedule.

Me + continued career search = Where is that blasted crystal ball or sky writer or whatever it is that has my answer?!?!

Yikes! Need to get ready for my chiro appointment.

Have a good one.

Good morning everyone! It has been a crazy 1 1/2 weeks for me. Things are settling down. My a/c is fixed and I was able to come home. DD18 is doing better. DD19 . . .well, she finally realized that it is time to grow up and be responsible. In other words, if your car is broken and you don't have money to fix it, get a job. (Kelly - I like your term, The Bank of Mom. However, this Bank of Mom didn't get a bailout from the gov. ) LOL My essay was submitted and I got an A. The 2nd one is in the rough draft process and waiting for the instructors comments. So things are moving along. Phew!

Got some not so good news about my dad as his tumor was cancerous. So, the testing begins for him. We'll know more in the next few days.

Not much planned for today. I am going to work on some artwork today and take it from there.

Hope you all have a great day!

Good morning all! I guess we'll have more rain today, yuk, getting out in the rain with my scooter is no fun. Yesterday I went to the store when the sun was peeking out but when I came out of the store the sky was dark and scary looking I turned up the speed on my scooter and raced to the car, I felt like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz when she was trying to beat the tornado home! I must have been a sight, zipping along with my hair flying in the wind, but I did beat the rain. Such an adventure!!!

Sox, It sounds wonderful up in your neck of the woods. I can almost feel the air and smell the cookies baking! Yummm...

Everyone have a great day, I'm off to do some girly stuff with my mom. DH comes home on Wed. so I've got a big smile on my face to start the week

Good Morning everyone. Would you believe it's still raining here??? It rained so hard all night long and now the schools in my county are closed. One lady was killed in the town I live in last night. Her mini van was washed off the road in flood waters and she was trapped. A buddy of my oldest son said she was on the phone with 911 as she was being swept away and then the phone went dead. Just awful.

Homes near creeks and rivers are flooded and there is one road that is impassable and the residents are trapped. The weather just showed another round of storms about an hour away to the west of us and then another huge batch of them off in Alabama. They'll be here about 4 PM.

I'm so glad I went to the grocery store yesterday. Sox, I know......the prices are just ridiculous. With your large family I can imagine how expensive it must be just to get the basics.

Tricia, I'm praying for your Dad. I hope this is something treatable and that's been caught early.

Ya'll pray for the folks in our city. People are being rescued by boat and an entire apartment complex has been flooded out. The news showed an elderly resident in a wheelchair being carried out by a fireman. It's scary.

Tomorrow is the first day of Fall! Yea!!

I've noticed that your son usually gets most upset on Mondays, but seems to do well most other mornings. My son used to be that way, too. They get two days (or 3 when there is a holiday) then they don't want to leave mom.

I used to pump him up on Sunday night before bed and remind him of all the fun he had last week. I'd get him to talk about what he wanted to do with his friends the next day and ask him what his favorite thing was from the last week. Then, we would make a big deal of getting his back pack together and picking out what he wanted to wear. It seemed to help.

I also saw your bread comment. Do you have a Sam's Club near you? We get 2 loaves of bread for what you are paying for one by going to Sam's Club.
