Saturday I went shopping and found clearance items at Walmart that surprised me... canning jars for $2 a dozen, the water bath pot for canning was $8 (usually 18.97) So I am committed to learn how to can my garden harvest next year.

Dusting ... what a dirty word! I started dusting my bookshelves...ended up dusting the whole house and central air vents. Replaced the filters in each vent and the large one on the main intake. Washed 6 loads of clothes, two sinks of dishes and cut hubby's hair. where all the energy came from I have no idea, but wish it would stay around for a long while.

Trying to figure out what I can do today. Yesterday was major recovery day. I have a lot around here to catch up on, but still feeling a little blah. Ah well, I'll putter as best I can.

Hoping I hear back on that bloodtest today. If not, I'll keep reminding myself that usually "no news is good news"

Mornin' all! it is still morning right? yep. whew!

Well so far I have gotten up, dressed, fed, watered (or is that soy milked?), packed a lunch, pushed the guys out the door for work/ school, emptied the dishwasher, watched a rented movie, woke up the lump (DD), and goofed off here. The remaining part of the day's agenda includes finishing the grocery fetching, putting a few bucks in the gas tank, attacking some projects that keep staring at me, and just behaving.

I have pretty much walked away from the idea of medical transcription. The peace I'm searching for just isn't there and I think it is time to move on. I think I know pretty much what kind of job I'm looking for I just don't have a name for it yet. And man is that ever messing with the shred of sanity I still have.

I had a bad night -- couldn't sleep and everything hurt. I take ambien and baclofen when I go to bed. You would think that would knock me out. I think I am going to have to break down and be tested for sleep apnea. I ended up canceling my morning class, but will go in about noon for the afternoon.

I am pretty tired but may take a ride out to see my cousin's new store. They just moved and did some extensive remodeling so it will be nice to see. Jim's calling him to see what time we need to be there. Other than that nothing planned. Hope everyone has a good Monday.

Kelly - Your fresh produce sounds so good. I miss my garden. Maybe next year. I was going to do container vegetables but I missed the fall planting time so I'm not sure if now would be way too late. DBF and I had a garden with melons and they were really good. We also had pumpkins that went crazy! They were all over the place. I wish I had taken a picture of the pumpkins that climbed up the cactus and were growing! Not a common pumpkin scene. LOL

Just putterin' around today......not doing much. It's cloudy but not very hot.....only in the 70's. I can't wait for Fall!!

I think I'm going to make spaghetti for supper tonight. That way, if nobody's home I can just freeze it (the sauce) or we can have it tomorrow. I never know who'll be home anymore. Oldest DS is never here.......he sleeps here but that's about it. Youngest DS is home more than oldest but still not alot. Oldest son will be moving out come the end of October. He and GF are getting an apartment together. They are so excited. I think youngest DS is getting the "I want my own place" itch. That's fine with me.....I just want them both to understand that they have to do it on their own. The Bank of Mom went under with the economy!!

Vonn, hope the test goes well, and you get answers. GB kicked our butts last night...and now the captain of our defense, Urlacher, is out for the season. Wait 'til next year continues on in Chi-town...let us know what you find out, okay?

I set out a wasp trap yesteray afternoon...already have several in there. They came out in droves yesterday...must be another sign of an early end or autumn. No robins, lots of wasps...boo hoo, I miss summer already!!

Got a good work out in this morning, took the old dog for a walk afterwards, and then got a small amount of MT work done.
Weave, have you thought of going into medical billing or medical assistance? This MT course is too hard for me, and I have a medical background...just can't remember anything...

Well, DH bowls tonight, so I have to make myself do something constructive. I spend way too much time just sitting in front of the TV watching nothing valuable. I need to try to force my brain to concentrate and get some reading in.
