okay ... so I think too much ... but here goes:

wouldn't it be cool to put together a holiday art gallery showing set up at the Barn (where we had the dance) for sometime next October???

I believe I could rent it for close to nothing - and get support from their sportsman's club and community involvement ...

monies raised for the quilt program and MS (or whatever disease I have!! LOL) and would offer classes they could sign up for at a later date ...

would sell my art, quilts, runners, totes ... etc etc .. I got to think on this some more .. so, I better get BUSY!! and get MOVED up north!!

see what happens when you leave me alone with my own mind???

I'm still moving ... look out MS or whatever!! it's not nice to mess with me!! LOL

Good morning lovely friends!

Vonn...You are amazing Vonn...hang on to your dreams!

debd...we all make mistakes

tricia...good luck on your test

Kelly...Im glad the rains have stopped!

sandy, wiz, holly, weav, fin, barb, tktc, sarah, have a great humpday!

me....feeling better , my headach is gone. Still a little spacey but that
could just be me.

Im having so many troubles with my youngest. He had a stomach ache
at school, we knew he wasnt sick as he had been wimpery, and crying
alot of the day. They couldnt get him to go back to class so I went and
got him.

I know just like last year , this will pass and he will have a great year. But
this is just so hard. I just want to help him. I talked to the teacher last
night and we are going to give him small rewards if he gets thru the day
with no crying/sadness. He can accumulate these for a larger reward on
the weekend. Im talking things like an extra 15 minutes playing computer
games and staying up a little later, things like that.

I need this to work as Im sure this is not helping the blood pressure situation
because I feel so stressed. I have an upset tummy too.lol

I am getting him checked at the docs but Im sure its nothing physical related
as his tummy aches disappear on the weekends.

Anyway, sorry for being long winded, this plain sucks. We have our first
girl scout meeting this afternoon so that should be a distraction for us.

Everyone have a great day

Vonn, you know your in my prayers. As to the barn thing, you could also do a call for artists around that area and fill that barn! Not sure how close the Twin Cities are to it, but they have a decent art scene too. (yes, I'm as crazy as you are - LOL!)

Debbie,

Sox, sorry you're having such a rough time with the little guy. Hoping it's nothing physical and that he soon gets over his fear of school.

Everyone,

Took a sick day and staying home. I am almost 100% sure that I just have a cold, but I still feel lousy. Sore throat, some coughing, sneezing, stuffy head, runny nose ... ,but no temperature or muscle aches. Bleah!

soxmom -- Hang in there. Does you son's school have counselor's? Perhaps you could schedule an appointment with her/him?

Wiz -- Good Luck! Hope you are able to find a job soon. I am one year older than you, and I do not not think I could handle the thought of interviewing and starting a new position. In fact, I am seriously considering taking an early retirement when I am 55.

Debbie, I totally understand your mistake with the prescriptions. I have to check and double check my check book, am having a difficult time learning my new students names, and in class at times, I find that I am at loss for a particular word.

Kelly -- Hope the rain has stopped!!!

Tricia, Sandy, Jenn, Weave, Holly, and everyone else -- HEY!

Has anyone heard from Sarah? I realized when reading another thread that she has been MIA for several weeks.

Good morning everyone!

DebbieD - I think that would be San Diego. The weather is great all year long. I'd say Sedona, AZ but it is expensive to live there and I think the summers get above 80 degrees. Albuquerque, NM has pretty mild weather as well. Winters aren't too bad and summers are nice; low humidity.
I get what you are saying about cog stuff. Sometimes I can't remember if I took a med or not.

Vonn - And I thought I had a bad week. I am so sorry to hear all this carp you are going through. I am not sure what test your dr is referring to but if it is the ANA it does not necessarily mean Lupus, just that you have an autoimmune condition. And since you have RA, your ANA would be positive. Anyhow, hang in there. Also, love your idea of the Barn Art Sale. Let me know if you need contributions. I would be more than happy to contribute.

Wiz - Still keeping you in my prayers as you job hunt.

Sox - Sorry to hear about DS. I agree with taking him to the dr just to rule out any physical condition.

Barb - I hope you feel better. You know the routine. Of course, after reading my post to Sox you probably don't want my advice.

Today, I have a test to take and for what ever reason, I cannot remember parts of the chapter - 5 anthropologists. UGH! These 5 are "discussed" in little inserted blurbs so to speak in the chapter. I am at a loss. I have read through their information twice and it still is not sticking. This is the self-paced independent class, however, the instructor is available during "scheduled class time" in the "scheduled room" to meet with students if needed. Guess who will be meeting with her today before she takes the test in the Learning Center?

It amazes me what information sticks and what doesn't. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Why the rest of the chapter stuck and these 5 inserts didn't I have no idea. I even outlined everything I read and it still didn't stick. I can't even remember the names of a few of them. Thank goodness this is a true or false test and not an essay test. By reading a couple of statements usually one will not "sound right" and I can pick the right one. (I did a practice test online last night and got 100%) Isn't that crazy?

Have a great day everyone!

Good morning everyone! Wow....what a difference a couple days makes. It's sunny and warm here today...just beautiful out. More rain is expected this weekend but nothing like what we had this past week.

Sox, I feel so bad for your son. He sounds like he has such a tender heart. I bet he's a very compassionate little guy.

Does the school he goes to incorporate the learning challenged students into the classroom with the mainstream students? The reason I asked is because when my two were in elementary school I remember oldest DS had a learning challenged student in his class. I think they were trying to instill some "sensitivity training" into the mainstreamers and let the challenged students interact in a regular classroom. Each student had a day where they were the challenged students "buddy" and they helped him with whatever he needed. Perhaps your son could benefit by being another student's "buddy"......maybe helping someone else would take his mind off whatever is making him fearful of school and give him a reason to "need" to be there. I don't know....just a thought. I feel for you...and him. As Mom's we have an incredible need to "make it all better".

Well, I'd better get moving. I need to go to PetSmart to get another large cat carrier. I have two but the latch on the one doesn't close properly and I need to have two functioning cat carriers....just in case. Just like this past week has shown me you never know when disaster will strike!

Ya'll have a great Wednesday!

Morning all, my you've all been busy! I am up waiting for my brothers band to show up and drop off their trailer and van. They are going on tour today and needed a place to store their stuff. I arranged for my neighbor to take him back to Chicago because Jim has that photo shoot today. I cannot believe a taxi service wanted to charge $150 to drive him back! A limo was $120. Sheesh. Anyway, the college neighbor will do it for $50. lol

Hope everyone has a great day. Jim is cranky today with all the activity going on. I'll get him back in bed after the photographer leaves. Then I'll run! lol Just kidding. haha

We haven't heard from my aunt yet. The lines are down. Hopefully we'll hear something soon.

Just had a thought . . .Does he have allergies at all? I know that once school started, DD18 had trouble with her allergies. While this didn't happen too in the elementary school and a little bit in the middle school, it was the high school. There was something in the school that she was allergic to and the fall air. She too would have a stomach ache, allergic shiners, and a general blah feeling. We determined that since the school is old and not well maintained that mold was probably growing somewhere in the school and that is what DD18 was reacting to.

In her jr and sr year, she would start taking her allergy meds 1 week before school started. This helped tremendously.

thanks for all your great ideas...

Kel...the teacher said she had been giving him little assignments to distract
him...I will mention your idea as he has a friend in class who probably
could use some help.

tricia...allergies are a possibility, I will mention it to his doc when we
see them.

sandy...I hope your dear aunt is okay.
