Hi everyone...the gusty winds have died down finally...it's chilly...the pond water is around 50 degrees...fish were hiding low in the pond...
Well, I drove over to the gym...thought to myself, I just need a 5 minute rest...so I put my car seat back...and woke up 30 minutes later! Then I went home and crawled in bed, and slept for another 2 hours.
I promised my DH I would call the neuro about the fatigue/weakness, but I perked up after lunch, so I'm going to continue to monitor this...

The dog is limping where he has severe arthritis, but he did eat his meal today, and he wagged his tail when I came into the house...that's more than he's done in 3 days...DH said we should wait to see if he gets better, since he's gotten better after all the other near-death problems before...and he's not crying anymore. So maybe he's on the mend...

Vonn, so sorry your numbers were so high...keep us up to date, please

Barb, hope you continue to improve...

Have a great evening all!

Barb, glad to hear you are better! my first reaction was the same as Trish.

Sandy, I'm praying your mom doesn't have Parkinsons. How frustrated she must be dealing with all this. Hopefully it is only from the brain surgery and will heal with time.

Vonn, we're praying those numbers go down, down, down!!

It is another absolutely gorgeous day here. It went to 50 overnight and our high for the day was 70 with a slight breeze all day. Painters got the first coat on the windows today. Roofer coming some time this week to replace some flashing that leaked. So I'm babysitting home repair people all week.

thanks, Trish about the paint pots at Ace ... will check them out!!

I delivered the sign today to the quilt shop ... it was a surprise to her and she loved it ... it's already up in the front window! will take a pix of it on thursday when I go back to spend the day with her and hang out and have fun (first day of a shop hop, but I'm not 'hopping' this one) ...

called my regular doctor today (L/M, of course) and the nurse returned the call saying that my file was on his desk and he was reviewing all the notes and faxes from my latest blood results ... don't know whether to stop eating something or eat better - but I don't feel like eating and can't taste much anyways ... doesn't trip my trigger ...

better try to go to sleep ... and have another full day tomorrow (quilting, paying bills, cleaning) ... and still sorting thru boxes of fabric!!

I'm 'lovin' the Dr Oz show!!

Green Bay is on my location to move to ... and I'm going to be asking Aaron Rodgers about being a spokesperson for the quilt program ...

plus - I'll be centrally located to my friends and doctors ... and still look for land to build my lighthouse ...

Hi Everyone,

I hope all is well with all of you. I'm popping in to say hi.

I'm still healing from the skin cancer surgery. It's been 3 months and the surgeon said I have about another 2 to go. It's been very painful. It has stalled me to a standstill and affected my enitre body and my MS has acted ugly too.

I go to my dermatologist in the morning so he can check my body to make sure I don't have anymore cancers. I sure hope not. Everybody say a little prayer for me please! I go back to the surgeon in November.

I really want to stress to everyone...do not ignore a suspicious growth on your body, no matter how small!!! Get to the doctor and let them look at it.

The surgeon told me that this was a life threatening cancer. My dermatologist made the right call and probably saved my life. I would not have made the appt. myself since my Mom died 5 days after the biopsy came back. I thought it was just a regular squamous cell like I had before and it was not a priority. The first one I had was just cut off, no problem.

Hugs.
Becky

Hi Becky! It's good to see you here again......I'm glad your leg is getting better.

Well, I dug out my long sleeved nightgown last night. It's so chilly first thing in the morning now. It warms up nicely throughout the afternoon but it's downright cold now!! Not complaining, though. I love this weather.

I don't have anything planned for today. I'll probably take my book outside to the back porch and read for a while this afternoon.

Going back to bed now.......can't keep my eyes open. See ya'll in a few hours!

Good morning! It is a crisp 46 here this morning. Painters rolled in early today, trying to finish before Friday. We are expecting rain then.

Vonn, every time I see lighthouse figurines now, your name pops in my head. I don't want a lighthouse, but sure would love to have an old missile silo to convert into living quarters. That or a concrete monolithic dome.

Becky, its good to see you check in. I was wondering how you were doing.

to all.

Becky, Hope the doctor gives you the all clear!

You are so right about keeping an eye on this stuff. I've had a few moles removed and biopsied since I was about 14. My mom was a survivor of malignant melanoma, and my dad was the one who drug both my brother and I to see a skin doc when we became teenagers. And I have a couple that don't worry the dermetologists yet, but I keep a wary eye on them.

Debbie, hope the docs can help you out with the fatigue.

Kelly, fall is definitely here with it's chilly reminder that the temps are changing. Had to turn the heat on low last night.

Barb, glad to hear you're feeling better.

Vonn, I've found when I can't eat I make myself eat one of those Special K protein bars. Gives me at least a small amount of protein and such to keep me going. Don't know if that would help you or not. Hope things get better soon.

Everyone,

~~~~
Good news - fever broke. Bad news - still feeling sickly.
But stuff is going around like crazy around here. Some schools have closed for a couple of days, and others are thinking about doing it too.
The children's hospital near us has made it mandatory for the staff to be vacinated against the "swine" flu. (think it's H151, but brain is a bit foggy) I think it's only a matter of time before the other hospitals follow the example. Between the various flus and a viral thing out there, I think it was only a matter of time before I caught something.
Hi everyone! Feeling about 80% better today
We have sent about 70 students form here home with probable swine flu dx. The university has also established a few of our university apartments that are currently empty as a quarantine site for students who cannot go home. I think it is going to be a rough fall. According to the CDC, most states now have widespread flu. I am geting my seasonal flu shot on Thursday.
Becky, Thanks for checking in and thanks for the reminder. I have so many moles I have to go to the dermatologist for a complete body check..
Hope you all have a good day. I actually had to wear a jacket today!
Morning all! We're heading out today to see the cousin's and do the court thing tomorrow. I do hope they get this over with tomorrow and not say it's postponed again.
Jenn, I think that's great that the shot is mandatory! We have a few appointments with the VA and will be getting flu shots on the 9th. I hope they have the swine available by then too. It's kind of scary to think about taking it but we'll see what the rules are for Jim. They have no problem giving him the regular flu shot but the Swine shot may be a different story. I'll let you guys know.
Becky, good to see you. I hope you get a clean bill of health! How's your dad doing?
Kelly and Pam, it's 47 here and the high will be in the 60's today. I had my heat on yesterday.
Vonn, when is the move? Let us know what the docs say.
Barb, glad your almost 100%!
Deb, do you stop feeding your fish when the water gets to 50 degrees? My neighbor and the fish food bag says to stop. I just got my pond heater in the mail!!
Well, have a good day everyone!
