Thanks for the prayers for my dad. Not sure the extent of the cancer. He has some tests this week (X-rays, CT scans, bone scans etc.) to rule out cancer in any other areas of his body.

Didn't get any artwork in today as I spent the morning trying to get DD18s financial aid straightened out. Phew! I did it. They made a calculation error. The girl was so sweet though. I told her to get her calculator out and add up all the aid DD18 received. The number in the "system" did not match what I calculated. Poor girl couldn't figure out what was wrong with their system to make that error. Probably an error in a formula somewhere. Anyhow, it's all straightened out now and DD18 is back to not owing the school. Yeah!

Now, mom needs a nap.

We've had 16" of rain here! My backyard cannot hold anymore water. We have a little creek running through my yard and my neighbors (it's not supposed to be there! ). They're forecasting another 2-4" tonight. I think 3 people have lost their lives so far....one of them being a 2 year old little boy. The lady who drowned in her own car this morning was less than a mile from where I live. So sad. Roads are closed all around and people are stranded on the downtown connector trying to get home from work. I've never seen anything like this before in my life. Please pray for the rain to end!

My day -- not great. I have been fighting a sore throat since yesterday, and my leg has not improved. My eyes are also bothering me a bit. H1N1 also seems to be spreading. We have been told to allow all students missing class due to illness to make up work. Students are being told not to come to health services. They are doing triage on the phone. Both my sister and her husband are sick in Texas. Chris has been sick for four days; Steph started feeling bad. the doctor's office told them to stay away. Antivirals are not being prescribed for those with the flu, unless you are in a high risk category. I am also worried about my niece (their daughter) getting it, as she is only three.

The spasms are back...pain (tho not the strong kind from severe spasms) returned. Hard to stay on feet too long...I am thinking of calling the neuro if the pain/spasms continues.
We finally got one inch of rain...we've had 3 weeks without rain...so the lawn/plants are so happy.

We're heading home today. The game was great and we had a blast. They had lots of sanitizer everywhere. Hope people used it! We sat behind the wives of the Brewers and one let a baby hang all over a railing that everyone was touching. Another one let her young child hang on the seats and lay his head down. Ugh. Kids will be kids but carry some wipes for Pete's sake. Oh and the baby was also changed right there in front of everyone, no blanket, nothing. This generation is very different than we were. haha I was never overtly paranoid of germs but in this day with H1N1, I think a little more precaution couldn't hurt.

Anyway, getting off that bandwagon, have a great day everyone.

My update: Still applying for jobs, and just searching. I even applied for an accounting job in Naperville. I specified a fairly high salary range though because there would be a lot or road time. If they'd accept that, I'd give it a shot. DH will have a cow though if I accept a job that far away though. I think my age is going to be a strike against me, since I'm 51. In some cases it probably won't matter though, at least I hope.

It takes a lot of energy to keep applying, since I have to customize the resume slightly for each application.

Oh well, everybody have a good week.

me...........Just getting going here....I bumped my head on Sunday eve and
I think I have been dealing with a mild concussion. I had a pretty good headache
yesterday was soooo tired and pretty spacey. I feel better today so I think

to all... I just stopped in quick. Getting an early start on the road due to wet roads. Painters were suppose to come this week, but they pushed it out until hopefully next week. Weather is playing havoc with body... aches, numbness increase and brain fog. I need to go live in a climate controlled bubble somewhere!

my neuro now wants me to stop Copax for a week - and have blood tests run for her regarding the elevated liver enzymes ... still waiting to hear from my GP about the rheumy ...

kinda had a meltdown yesterday - my neuro's office girl makes it sound like it was my fault - WHY were these tests done?? and that I hadn't seen the neuro since last november - I answered that I'm still waiting for the disability, and then I would be living closer and have some income to MAKE appts ..

now all this has started when their office said to go to ER because I had back pains and difficulty breathing (in August) .. and my GP never did a blood panel - so, he ordered one. She goes - that was last month .. I said that I followed up with the GP and you (but couldn't get in until the END of Sept) .. that's why all this is happening now!

sorry - I'm about to jump in the lake .. remember, it's just outside my window!! LOL

the BadgerCare Plus was approved for me (on a rush basis) ... and starts October 1 - until the disability goes into effect, then I'll be on Medicaid (I guess) ...
