(((Vonn))) - I can totally relate with eating issues. I have them all the time. For me, it is an MS thing/Pavlov dog thing. I put food in and all sorts of things happen - full after a couple of bits, terrible stomach pains/spasms, nausea, etc. It is a hit or miss thing for me. This sinus infection created havoc for my stomach. What I do is eat warm soup and drink lots of my smoothie creations. These are much easier for me to eat as the stomach doesn't have to work as hard (heck it's already in a spasm and you can see the outline of my stomach.) Plus, I am getting nutrition. Hang in there!

Becky - I hope things continue to improve for you. Check in when you can and know that I am praying for you.

Kelly - Stop it with that cool weather carp! LOL You all are making me jealous as I swelter in this heat. I have to say though, our mornings are perfect - 60s.

DebbieD - You do so much in 1 day. I have read your posts in the Keep Moving thread as well as here on Insights. Do you think you might be overdoing it? Are you able to cut an activity out for a little bit and see if that helps you? I am terrible about not pacing myself but am slowly learning the hard way. It has taken me 3 years to finally start catching on and I am doing better as a result of that. I still overdo it and still pay the price but I am better at making sure I rest between activities and take my nap daily. It does make a difference for me.

My Update........nothing much to report here....thing are going a little
better in the morning so Im happy about that. Just went grocery shopping

It would be my sister Madelines 50th birthday today!! although we did not live close boy do I miss her... and in 7 days it will be a year since we lost her.

I was looking thru some pics on puter we have of her, and especially ones of her when I gave birth to Maddie (her name sake) as Madeline was in delivery with me as many here know... oh the tears!

the $2600+ bill from the hospital ... is ALL forgiven ... one down ... 4 more to go ...

today's DS's 34th birthday...he's the oldest...I must have had him when I was 5
yesterday was the 37th anniversary of my dad's death...he died on the kitchen floor of a massive heart attack...not telling you to get pity strokes, just remembering that day...I wasn't close to him...but now that I'm old I understand him so much more...wish I could talk to young Me to explain what I understand now...just a reminder to myself not to smoke...he was a chimney-3 packs/day; so was my mom; she died of lung cancer. My sister is hanging on by a thread-she had a heart attack in 03-she has half of her heart damaged, and also has emphysema, is on oxygen; and still smokes...

I took a lower dose of zanaflex, and was more awake today...and the spasms are still gone. I wonder if I was in an exacerbation or something and now it's receding...I'll have to record it for the neuro.
My dog was not doing well again today...didn't eat breakfast, laid around. But at about 4 pm he got up, and he ate his breakfast, even came over and let me pet him as he wagged his tail...DH and I thiink, however, that he's near the end...lots of tears today...why do I allow myself to get so attached?

Tricia, I don't think I do much at all...my house is a mess, partly because it's so difficult for me to do the regular housework, partly because I can't seem to get organized enough to figure out where to start. I haven't been working out as much as I used to...and when I have to take the inlaws somewhere, I get so mentally exhausted that I can't seem to think straight when I go home. So there's been a lot of resting. The most I've done lately is clean the fish pond. Yuck!

Well, Vonn, that is certainly good news about the hospital bill...
Becky, take care...so glad you took care of yourself...hope the pain recedes..
Sox, glad to hear the DS is handling mornings better!

Well, we're off to the northwoods of Wisconsin tomorrow to close up the cabin and get the boat covered for the winter...always is so depressing when we end another year up in God's country...

Hi Everyone,

My Dermatologist appt. was great. He didn't find any more cancers!!!! He did freeze off several growths that could be a problem down the road if not removed. He said the same thing the surgeon told me which is to do nothing but rest and keep my leg elevated.

He also thinks I have 2 more months to go for the wound to heal. I have a pretty large knot in the my calf muscle behind the wound but he thinks it is probably from the stress of trying to walk with this honker on my leg. I have been doing my back stretching exercises trying to get some relief so that may be the reason for the knot.

I go back to see him in 6 months because there is a high chance I might have another cancer since I have had this big one. I had a little one over 10 years ago. I see the surgeon again in November for another wound check.

I'm going to try to jump on NT more often so I can check up on you all. I do not know how anyone is doing since I have been gone!

I'm really tired from being out today but am so glad to have good news. Thank you all for thinking of me and praying for me.
