Well it is still raining. I am hoping that we will see some sun tomorrow. I have been doing some laundry, playing bejeweled, and reading. I am waiting to hear from my neuro. I am not sure if these tremors/vibrations are the sign that I am in a flair or not. He mentioned at my last appointment that he might consider putting me on lyrica since the gabapentin was no longer helping with the burning pain I experience in/on my head.

Soxmom -- We do not get Monday off. Rather we hold a big open house for prospective students who have the day off. Today was out free day.

Sandy -- The flexiciser looks cool. I wish I had room for an incumbent exercise bike. I donated my upright as it hurt my back too much.

Hope you all have a good weekend!

Hi everybody!!
Hee haw...getting a bit more movement each day in this neck of mine...but still taking it easy, giving my body the opportunity to heal. I slept from 11:30 to 2:30 this afternoon. This surprised me, since 'roids usually ramp up the energy for me. Guess I need it!

I usually take the inlaws to the library/grocery store on Fridays, but they insisted I rest and stay out of the deluge today. They really are dears.

Barb, you really are getting socked down south!! Hope that you get dry weather soon! Hope Lyrica helps with the pain. Did the neuro up the gabapentin enough before deciding to change? I was on 900 mg before I was taken off by my new neuro. I still get neuro pain, but I can handle it. It's not as bad as it was. Anyway, good luck...

Vonn, hope all went well today...let us know, hmm? Sounds like you had a great day in the UP.

Sandy, hope you're feeling better today...and that the visit to the VA goes well. That machine looks neat!

TKTC, so sorry to hear about the leak...I hate it when that happens...

Well, it's time to get ready for our big night out...have a wonderful weekend, everyone!!

Debbie, I was on 2700 mg of gabapentin. I have not heard back from neuro (nurse said she would call back by early afternoon) so I am not sure if he will put me on lyrica or not.

okay .. trying not to post too often and bore you guys ... the U/S went well ... the actual ultrasound was fine ... it was when she was pressing around the liver and kidneys (both L & R) that was a sharp pain ... I could see the pix - but she would only point out the blood vessels ... it looked like an alien on the inside ... LOL ... and about 1/2 hour later, I was walking out ...

now - she may know what's going on .. but had a pretty good poker face ... and actually (I don't know if this is 'normal') ... she had put her hand on my back and said that she hopes that they find out what's going on so I can feel better ...

trying not to 'dwell' on it .. just have to wait now until the doctor gets the results and I see him on the 20th ...

do you want to hear something funny??? what comes to mind when you hear "Wallace & Davis"??? white christmas, right?? .... well, Wallace is my PCP and Davis is my rheumy!! LOL

still a bit tired ... wondered what happened to that cleaning witch or jeanie ... sure could use one or the other!! and the team from Clean Sweep or better: Mission: Organization

I am going to St Vinny's and Goodwill tomorrow - I came up with a great organization for my fabric -->> (don't laugh) ... STOVE GRATES ... and then I can hang them from the ceiling or rig up something off the wall and still see the fabric and let the excess hang behind ... I need pegboard walls!! LOL

I had a good day until about 4pm today. Out of the blue I was achy, head throbbing, dizzy, tingly limbs. I took a nap and woke up to a nasty thunderstorm with pouring rains and high winds. I can not believe how sensitive I have become to approaching storms. I was fine as soon as the front moved on through. Good news is the roof didn't leak.

We cleaned out the leak area in the attic and there was a little mold on the timbers, but it is in an area with good air flow. We washed it off with bleach and plan to watch and see if we need a mold expert to work on it. The ceiling cleaned up nicely with bleach as well. We plan to paint it with Kilz and watch it a bit before repainting the entire kitchen ceiling.

Vonn, I'm still praying for a good liver report!

Barb, I hope the meds kick in quickly and help you with those vibrations.

to all.

Barb, hope the change in meds help. Hope the vibrations calm down soon.

Vonn, Hope they can nail down what's going on.

Sandy, that exercise machine looks cool!

Everyone,

~~~~~
Spent the day yesterday cleaning the master bathroom. Something I kept from my to do list way too long, plus hubby thinks he might paint it this weekend. (Blue this time)
We had to laugh since without some of the sound absorbing items, we have an echo in it. Something that hasn't happened since we first moved in.
I've found a few small spots that hubby's going to have to use my tinier hands to help paint. Apparently there's a small strip between our tub and enclosed shower. Sometimes I think the designers were crazy for some of these little intricate nooks and crannies they hid drywall in.
Hoping everyone has a nice weekend!
Good morning! I slept in late (for me) today. I went to bed at 9:00 and did not get up until 8:30. The lyrica knocked me out. I probably should not have taken my ambien too. I am going to try to sleep tonight without it. I remember the gabapentin affected me this way when I first started taking it, but then I got use to it.
I have been to the grocery store and now I think I am going to go over to our local mall. It only has about 20 stores, but I need to find a birthday present for a friend. The sun is out here, and it is really nice (about 60). Hope you all are having a nice weekend!
Morning all! It's only 43 degrees here, brrrr! No sun. My cousin just left after fixing my furnace exchange plug. I'll probably put some Halloween decs out and take the side plants out of the pond. The fish are slow moving this morning so time to stop feeding them three times a day. They barely ate what I put out this morning. The water temp is down to 53.6 degrees. I also need to get my patio cushions put up.
Jim's dental appointment went well. He'll need to go three more times before he'll get his dentures. They want to make sure the plates fit properly since he has trouble wearing them. Sometimes his mouth goes numb from the ms so it's hard to tell if it's the dnetures or ms.
We also got our flu shots and Jim was measured for his new wheelchair. The exercise machine may not happen, the VA doesn't consider that a necessity item so we need to convince them how beneficial it would be for Jim to have it. Jim's PT said to try, the worse they could say is no. If that happens, we'll find a way to get it because Jim needs it.
That's it for our house. Hope everyone is having a good Saturday!
