I got a call from my sis's DIL yesterday...my sis was taken to the hospital...she has pneumonia...she has a very bad heart, emphysema, and still smokes like a chimney...she wants to die...I feel a bit detached from it all. Which makes me feel guilty. We've had our ups and downs over the years...but she is my sister...has had a lousy life, with many bad choices made by her. She is in a bad way financially, emotionally, and of course physically. Please pray for her...as I will...

Another rainy day here in Illinois. I am done with classes for today, and have been working on making up final exams. The end is now in sight! I am now waiting for a friend to get out of her class, and we are going to go have Thai for lunch. President said he will not be making any decisions regarding furloughs until in January or so. He is jsut gathering input right now.

Hellooooo Well I've been out to my fave shopping center (what you call a mall I think) Its my once a year trip. I'm very tired and achey But hubby is so achey and very tired. He is so sweet pushing me round all day. Got some christmas gifts sorted so thats good. My hopes prayers and best wishs to you all love and huggs Jackie. xxxxxxxxxx

Hi all! I had my van fixed today and it's up and running like new. I have my doctors appointment tomorrow and will let you know about it when I get home. Debbie, no I don't have to wear a guard but if I start grinding my teeth I may have to.

My sister went to see my mom and she said mom was talking a little off today. I didn't get much out of my sister because she's going through her own private hell. Her husband left her last night so things are a little emotional right now. I'll talk to her later when she's at home. I keep trying to call mom but I am not getting an answer yet.

We have sunshine today! It has been a gloomy few days here in north AL, but today is nice and warm. I need to get moving, but my old bod says nothing doing!

I wondered why my allergies were acting up and it seems a few farmers sprayed defoliant on the cotton recently. SO i'm living on Claritin until this passes.

We are trying to figure out our Thanksgiving plans. Looks like we won't travel to visit family. The youngest son has to go to school all day Wednesday which means we won't have that as a travel day. Family isn't too happy we aren't coming, but you do what you have to do. I'm not traveling 9 hours by car for just one meal!

Hey Ya'll! It's a beautiful day here today. It's the calm before the storm.....we're supposed to have two full days of rain beginning on Saturday.

I saw on TV that lots of stores are having pre-Black Friday sales this weekend. Pretty soon we'll just have Black Friday all year round! Each year the festivities begin a little earlier. One person on our street already has all their outside decorations up! The yards here aren't that big and their whole front yard is full of blow up characters and lighted reindeer! It's a little over the top, IMO.

There is a radio station here that has a "Tacky Lights Tour" each year! I get the feeling this house might be on the list!

hello from wisconsin ...

did not feel well yesterday - couldn't move .. couldn't even look at food on TV!! then I barfed this morning ... and felt better ... woo hoo!!

finished another quilt top ... and marinated some chix breasts to grill on the George Foreman (my friend) ... and did 2 loads of laundry!!

to celebrate - going to the quilt shop (hancock) in Mad-town tomorrow - seeing that it's going to be another nice day ... have the windows open today!!
