Rainy Saturday here....but it's in the 40's so no ice!

The cable company came out today to do the downgrade to my cable TV/Internet/Phone package.

I no longer have the home phone (will use my Safelink wireless), only have basic cable now which is channels 2-78, and the Internet stays the same.

This change will save me about $70 a month so it's a good thing.

There is a little black and white kitten roaming around the neighborhood. He's been hanging around for a couple of weeks. He's wild, though, and won't come to anyone. I want to take him in so badly but that would mean a vet visit to make sure he's healthy and then all the preventative care.....and I just can't afford it. I manage to take care of the two I have but that just taps me out financially. He's a cutie, though, and I hope he finds a home somewhere.

Well, gotta go transfer some clothes to the dryer. I know you all wonder how I manage such an exciting life......it's hard but I do it. :o :p

Have a good Saturday! :grouphug:

Good morning. I'm moving slow and feel like my head has a balloon inside instead of brain. It is the weather changing... it's raining and about 45. sleeping weather!

Kelly, my life is about as exciting. Eat, sleep and laundry is all the energy I have right now.

Sandy, was mom happy with her whole chair?;)

Deb, hope you feel better today!

Barb, you reminded me I have a $20 Amazon certificate I need to use! I may just give it to my son for his birthday today since I am not venturing outside to go shopping.

:grouphug: everyone

Yep she's happy! She complained about how the stupid reclining arm was hard to work but overall she's happy. haha

Went to the bank, post office, drugstore, jewelry store, and dry cleaners. Now I am pooped. Leg is still bothering me. It sort of feels like a twisted ankle does, but instead it is my entire lower leg.

At Christmas, my older sister gave me an emerald and diamond ring that I had always teased that I was going to steal. She bought it a long time ago from an estate jeweler. She has a lot of jewelry, and no longer wears several rings at once like she used to. Her favorite is a huge orange diamond ring. So I took it to the store to get it sized, and they insured it for 2000.00. Now I feel really guilty about taking it.

Did you offer to put some DW40 on it for her? :D If it happens to be a Lane recliner, they make those levers so hard to move....like they expect only a strong armed man to be using it! I have two that are 9 years old and still hard to work .

Hi Everybody!! :grouphug:

I just did a brief scan of posts, sorry I'm MIA so much lately! I finished week two of training and I was exhausted last night. Fell into bed around 10pm and slept hard for eleven hours.

Sandy,

Good idea on getting your mom a new recliner. :)

Debbie,

I'm sorry about the Alzheimer's diagnosis for your MIL.

Everybody else who needs hugs, prayers or just good vibes sent out... :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Next week I have data training for four days, and working in the store on Monday. Also more data training on Saturday morning for two hours in the store.

There is so much to learn, you just can't imagine! But it's going great and I can't wait to finish with the training and be comfortable selling so I can start earning my commissions! :D

I'm considering switching to their medical plan since it seems to be better than what I have now and cost a bit less too. It's Cigna for the medical, VSP for vision coverage and Aetna for dental. The pharmacy is Medco. I need to talk it over with DH before I decide.

I have a few things to do this week then prepare for my next out of town week of training.

Have a good weekend everybody!!! :grouphug: :circlelove:

Saw Up in Air today. Even though George Clooney was very nice to look at the movie was extremely depressing.

Debbie D 01-17-2010 08:59 AM

Good morning, everyone. Happy Sunday!

Barb, thanks for the heads-up on the movie...don't need anything depressing right now:rolleyes: Hope your leg eases up...is it spasticity? Anyway, take care:hug:
Pam hope your head didn't explode!
Sandy, hope the arm of your mom's chair eases up so she has one less thing to complain about;)
Wiz, glad to hear training is going well. Might want to wait a month before changing insurance...just to be sure this is work you want to do. Glad to hear from you again!
We saw a pontoon boat we'd like to buy...but oh my gosh mucho dinnero!! Not sure if that's going to happen this year, but it's on our list...
We're probably going to order a vent-free firebox for our fireplace today. I've been trying to talk him into just getting the logs and grate, because when we went to a fireplace store to check everything out, I got a headache, which the salesman said happens to some women when they're in a room with a vent-free fireplace. I'd hate to spend all the extra money if I then won't be able to sit in the same room...
We also have to paint my study today...I want to get that room and our bedroom painted before it gets nice outside. My study looks like it has calamine lotion all over the place from DH spackling all the nail holes DD made when she hung her pix/posters in there...I miss her being in that room...:(

Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!!:D

MIA there a bit, opps have not been computer much other than a bit of facebook checking in...

hugss all

My niece Mary is Aok in Haiti, she finished Notre Dame degree, and before starting for next degree in medicine she is studying... she went to Haiti this past season to help at a school... teaching for a while... so she was there for the awful earthquakes. She is fine, my sister heard from the leader of the group that is in charge of this group. finally the other day they got a quick email from mary herself.

now my nephew, other sister, got lots of sisters, hehe he is headed down there with the military to help out!! I am so proud of both, being givers in this world of younger people not caring!!

I am ok, about to head to church with some of the kids, tomorrow I decided I would call Neuro office, let them know two vertigo spells have happened where I tried that migrane medicine and no help from it... as he was thinking at least rule out migrane relation I guess. I also will ask about what the ENT once gave me, but never ended up with vertigo before expired meds... valium.... which from others here and reading it can help with vertigo!!

we will see, life is busy as always, went to have two wisdom teeth pulled at dentist.... well :( he pulled one..yanked for along time... then the other though the tips that were visible crushed.. so now this week have to go to a oral sergeon.... wahoooo :( been missing just due to busy between work and teeth and all....

I love you all, hugssssssssss,sarah

barb02 01-17-2010 07:02 PM

I guess it has been a low key day for everyone. Unless you are all extremely busy and that is why there has been no chatter here.;)
