I'm up early today. Guess I'll need a nap by early afternoon.....I can already feel it!

I've done as much as I can for my garage sale for now. Once I get the tables I can start placing things but I can't get them until the day before the sale. I'm so hoping that most of this stuff sells. I really just want to get rid of it.

DS26 is off work for the next few days. Seems a man who didn't want to go to jail took out his frustration on DS and he hurt his left hand. He was alone.....waiting for backup to arrive.....but the "perp" took advantage of the situation and tried to run. DS won in the end but not before badly injuring his hand. Just let me have a moment with the guy (alone).....I guarantee he'll never do that again! I'm beginning to sound like the lady in 'Stop Or My Mom Will Shoot"!

Well, one good thing.....my neighbor's lawn is covered with leaves again!! The one who blew all his leaves into my yard the other day! Things have a way of evening themselves out! I'm really a nice person.........really.......

I am back at school today. I came in early at 7:30 to get some things done. So I am ready for my 10:00 class and only have four exams left to grade. Each one takes me about 15 minutes.

There are more articles in the paper today about possible furloughs. I hate to sound so self interested, but I am worried that this is really going to cause alot of problems for me regarding retirement in 2012. But then I feel selfish, what effect will this have on people who are making 11.00 an hour?(secretaries, custodians, etc). How can they survive with a six week cut in pay?

Morning all! We're having coffee and then I have to get up and go see the ENT. I am scheduled for a hearing test and exam on my ears. I've been having some issues with background noises. I can't hear a darn thing in a crowd or with any noise in the background. I'll let you know how that goes. I then made an appointment with my regular doctor to have some bumps on my nose checked. I think they are clogged pores but they have been here awhile. Since I am fair skinned I've been told I need to have them looked at.

Mom is coming around. No one has called to let us know anything yet. I'll give them a call later on when I get home or tomorrow. I was told to talk to the therapy leader.

Sandy - hope you have good results from your test!! I'm going in for my hearing test tomorrow ... unless I'm talking one on one ... I'm good .. but, when other people are talking - especially the loud ones .. and THEN they add tunes to the mix ... I barely can hear or comprehend what my friend is saying - and have to almost be in their face, turn my head to hear better .. I have it down to a knack!

sometimes - I just can't hear .. get all stressed from the sounds ... and leave .. and then the RINGING is so intense, that I crank the radio in the car!! or the TV gets a bit loud!

and, then I'm going to ask about my sinuses too (it's the same doctor that did my lip biopsy) .. ear/nose/throat doc!!

sent out a few more surprises this week ... working on dresses for my friend's twin girls .. size 7 ... BUT different cordouroy fabrics!! I can't stand it when people dress their kids in the SAME colors/clothes ... will post pix when I'm done ..

Kelly - wish I was close by to help you out .. the rules for 'Clean House' ... is if it doesn't sell - it gets donated .. and not back inside the house ..

Barb - sorry to hear about all the politics with the job .. try not to get stressed, it's hard not to do - but, it will keep you feeling better .. hope it all works out for you!!

Anything that doesn't sell is going to be picked up by the local charity in our town. I donate to them all the time.....they have a food bank and a clothing bank. So, I know it's going to a good cause. I wish I could just afford to give them everything but I need the money so they will have to take what's left after the sale. I can't wait to get this over and done with!

Sorry I haven't checked in the past few days. I've been a little under the weather with sinus/allergy carp and barely feel like sitting in the front of the computer.

I had a neuro appt on Monday and it was a strange one. First time ever this guy has spent less than 30 minutes with me. He was in and out in 15. He through a couple of scripts at me, looked at blood work results I brought with me and ordered an MRI. Either money is getting tight and he's rushing folks through like crazy, or I get the strange feeling he might be dumping his Medicare/Tricare patients....or sticking to a tight time schedule for those patients. I drive an hour to see this guy, so I hope he was just having a heavy patient load day.

Remember those commercials with the guy flipping a switch and couldn't figure out what it operated and it turned out to be the neighbors garage door? We have a ceiling fan that kept coming on, speeding up, lights turning off and on. DH thought maybe the control switch had a short or something. For some strange reason I asked a neighbor who I don't see that often, if she had put in a new ceiling fan recently. Turns out she had!! Yes you guessed it, both fans are remote-controlled and what are the odds they were set on the same frequency!! For 3 months she thought she had bought a piece of junk because her fan was doing what ours was. We were turning each others fans on and off!! DH reset our controller and now everything is working great . Youngest son was about convinced he had a ghost in his room.

I'm gonna read posts and catch up on everyone's news.

Wiz - Not way to go on the hair cut! LOL I don't like it much. DBF really likes it so I guess there is a benefit to it. DD19 and I figured it out yesterday. I had 5 inches cut off! As for the Excel test, that is not right to have a basic test with advanced questions. Praying that next time you do better.

Supermoo - Hope you get the computer stuff fixed. It is so frustrating when that happens.

Hi everyone else. Hope you all are having a good day!

I am downloading work right now and will start that soon. It's a good thing both financially and to slow me down. I was feeling pretty good this morning and am at DBF's so I washed the kitchen floor, dusted the walls in the living (it gets so dusty in the desert), and am getting ready to vacuum the couch and floor. Good thing I have some work to do so I "rest" a bit. LOL

Sandy - Good luck on the test and the "nose" check. Us fair skinned people have to be careful. I wear sunscreen all the time as we pretty much have sun blaring all year long. Let us know how it goes.
