I use to send cards to bunches of people...sorry to say last year and this one.. I just keep cards near by with stamps and when a card comes in to me, I send one out to that person....

Tk, sounds like you got the Christmas Spirit bug yeahhhh

hey all, I was so touched today,
I was at work, with my santa hat on, it has a golden arches, and a few of my McDonald's Christmas pins.... anyhow... I usually chit chat with customers... service you know...

love chatting with kids... and this time of year especially...

so there was a boy.. had to be only about 3, he had a baby brother too... I walk up and say hi to the family... look his way... and say " hey, are you ready Christmas is almost here" and he says.. reminder he is only 3 "yes I am ready, baby Jesus is coming soon" WOW I got teary eyed... just touched such a young age and knows the true Christmas meaning...

So just had to share with my daily insights family! Cause you are ALL family to me, I love you all tremendously... and thank you for always putting up with my blah blah about pain...hehe I love how we chat about daily stuff going on.... Merry Christmas early to you all!! Hoping the holidays bring cheer, health, and wonderful moments for each of you! hugsss, sarah

nope, Jackie .. haven't watched it .. and probably won't - I'm a scare-dy cat!!

oh - just to clarify ... the majority of the letters are for my tax business - and I've been doing this annual letter for about 15 years ... and they sorta 'expect' it ...

and ... uh, I don't buy ANY Christmas gifts ... so, really - that's all I spend for Christmas ... that's about $50 and I've covered everybody ...

to me - that's Christmas ...

Geez can I stop running now!!?? It has been a busy day... washing, packing, errands, ... our sons wanted to do "santa" gifts tonight. The oldest isn't going with us this time...he's got other fish to fry during the holidays. This way we don't have to cart all the wrapped gifts to grandma's house! They didn't even want them wrapped...just pull them out of the store bags they said! So we saved our paper wrappings for another year. They were happy with their three gifts each... both were more excited about the candy and "chocolate" coal they had in their stockings! We made some of Kelly's turtles...the recipe you left on the stumble inn. They were a hit and sooooo easy to do. It will be my contribution to the family feast at grandma's.

I'll be back in a few days... everyone stay safe this holiday season! No freezing buns, accidents, or humbugs allowed!! Enjoy your gatherings with family and friends. You will all be in my prayers this season

Good morning everyone! Have my coffee in hand, paint is drying on a painting, and getting ready for a busy day. DD18 made it home safely. So glad I wasn't traveling anywhere yesterday.

DD18 and I will be heading over to my parents this afternoon to help package up the cookies and to help decorate gingerbread people. My mom makes them for my niece and nephews every year for their stockings. She used to do this for my girls when they were little. Now my girls help her. That should be an interesting chore. LOL

Hope you all have a good day, are staying warm, and enjoying the holiday preparations.

Morning all. Anybody else know already there is no way they are going to be ready for Christmas on time? Whew. Glad I'm not the only one. I know. It will all work out. It always does.

My first annual work critique has come and gone. My supervisor said she wished she could give me more hours, and a raise, but couldn't, due to the crappy economy. I knew about the hours, but held out very slim hope for a raise. I'm disappointed, but not surprised. I was nice to hear she would if she could. I can hardly believe I've been there for a year already. Where did that year go?

DS has half a day of school today and then he is done for the year. When DH comes home today I am stuck with him under foot too until the new year. DD and I work some over the next week so it isn't a total vacation for us.

Things to do, better get moving. To those who are traveling, stay safe. Extra hugs for those feeling a little blue. I lost a favorite relative at this time of year a long time ago. The tears have dried, but my heart still mourns. Prayers for all.

Wow, 2 days till Christmas! Time flies, doesn't it?

Even though this year we'll have the thinnest Christmas we've ever had (present-wise) I think it's been the most enjoyable Christmas season yet. We all knew that funds were low for all of us so there wouldn't be much (try nothing!) under the tree. There wasn't the constant need to get "just one more thing" and then worry that I got so-and-so more than someone else. We're all having Christmas dinner together and that's going to be my gift to everyone. Plus, my boys are grown now so there isn't the need to have "Santa" every year. I did do stockings for both boys and DS26's girlfriend but that's it. I help out as much as I can throughout the year and so do they and that's enough. Wish I had discovered how enjoyable the season can be years ago when I was stressing that it was never "just quite right" or "enough". My shopping this year consisted of buying 1 book of stamps and a trip to Rite-Aid for stocking stuffers and that's it! Just knowing the reason for the season is more than enough.

DS22 just called to let me know that his employer gave everyone a $100 bill for Christmas. He was so excited! He said as a gag they got a picture of everyone holding their $100 bill up to the light to make sure it was real! He just asked if I wanted to go out to dinner with him and a new girl he's been seeing. How sweet is that.....and her name is Kelly! She must be nice!

Tricia, I'm glad your girls made it home safely. I just saw on the news that there were several fatalities due to snow and dust storms. I hate waiting for someone to make it home and then know that the conditions are treacherous.

Time for one more cup of coffee and then a shower. Not doing much of anything today. My sinuses are giving me such a hard time and my left eye feels like it is twice the size it should be.

Ya'll have a great Wednesday!
