Jim is doing his drivers test today to check if he needs new equipment and has a dental appointment. Nothing health related this time.

Good morning, everyone!! Another sunny, but very cold morning here.

Kitty, bless your heart...even feeding the birds now seriously, you're an angel for kitties...

Vonn, hope your future ventures are a bit more profitable...it was nice of you to buy a little something from the kids...

Sandy, hope the day goes well for Jim...

We weren't home for trick or treaters, but we don't have the traffic that we had when my kids were younger. It's sad to see those fun traditions waning.

Now, I have to share my experience of yesterday's wedding with you...WOW what a weird day!!

It was a Halloween wedding of course. We were instructed to dress up, but me getting all dolled up IS dressing up in a different "costume".
Anyway, we walk into the reception hall, and we're greeted by a vampire on a balance ball juggling A few feet away is a girl spinning several hula hoops...
The wedding cake is a tiered cake of gray ghosts, and the bride and groom at the top are Frankenstein and the Bride of...

At each place setting is a ball mask like you see in all of the old movies...all different and meant to tie on.

A girl walked around with cigars (DH took two for me)...she had a cute little outfit on with a small (really small) red hat on.

the bride had a tattoo on her right shoulder of the Psycho mansion with bats flying around it (yes it was real).

Everyone posed for a group photo with their masks on...
All in all we all had a great time just watching everything!! Then DH and I danced some, and just loved being out and all dressed up...

If I can post some of the photos from my phone I will...

The spasms waned a bit yesterday. I slept almost 3 hours before getting ready for the wedding, so that might have helped. I still woke up twice during the night from the pain from them, and stretched and put a pillow under the stupid legs.
I guess I just have to deal with it until I see my own neuro in a few weeks. I am taking the zanaflex as the neuro I saw Friday instructed, so maybe it helped lessen them too.

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday...I'm getting excited for Christmas, since the kids will all be in this year (we trade off every other year). I want to decorate NOW!!

Who says you can't decorate for Christmas now, Debbie! Just start now...do a little bit at a time....and by the time you'd normally start decorating you'll be finished and able to enjoy it that much longer!

I'm putting six small 8" artificial trees across my fireplace mantle this year. In place of a large decorated tree. I just don't have the energy to rescue cats from the top of the tree for two months! Last year I decided to let Tigger figure out how to get down out of the tree by himself and his solution was to tip the whole tree over. Quite the mess. And it scared him to death. Apparently not enough to deter him from trying it again, though. Caught him up in the tree again that very same day! I have tiny mineature ornaments to decorate the small trees with. I'm ready to decorate now, too!

Taking the day off from school. I went to the doctors and they said I had a really bad cold. Lungs were clear, but every time I cough, my upper back really hurts. I just saw a doctor I have never seen before in their walk in clinic for acute illness. He told me to take either Vicks Formula 44 D of Robitussin D, neither of which are still available in the drugstores. I just figured they were behind the counter meds. I called and left a message that he had recommended two different medications that are no longer produced. I have not hear back from them yet.

I just put out a big bowl of candy last night and most of it is gone. I did hear several kids come up to the door. I live in a smallish town, so maybe people feel safer here. Although I know my niece went last night in Texas and they had lots of kids too.

I just talked to my sister that lives in Texas, and she said they had about 100 tick or treaters. She said the whole neighborhood was packed with kids and adults that were dressed up. A few people had haunted houses in their garages. They live in a fairly neighborhood with lots of kids. A few weeks ago their neighborhood had a huge fall block party.

We survived Halloween! We had maybe 30 kids come by. One dad in a Winnie the Pooh costume...by day he is a Navy Officer! One set of kiddos were Mario, Luigi and the Princess...so cute. We have way too much candy leftover. I'm hiding it to make it last through Thanksgiving.

I have been running the fever the last two days and it's made the MS kind of funky. I'm having weak legs and cog fog big time. I think it's the Betaseron, but I'm not sure.

Hope everyone's Nov. got off to a good start.

Hello everyone. Glad the weird month of October is gone, even with the soon-to-be fun of the holidays around the corner. But the craziness is worth it.

Read through all the posts. Didn't realize I had disappeared for that long, lol.

I guess I haven't stopped by that much 'cuz I didn't want to be a downer. I don't like being a complainer, that's for sure.

MS/Fibro stuff has been weird. Nothing like spasms and tight muscles at same time to make one say "Ouch!" Yesterday had trouble navigating stairs. So far better today, but may have to put call into the neuro's office if things aren't improving by day's end. First time doing this with the new office, so should be interesting to see how it goes.

Hubby is driving me out to vote later.

And that's all the news from my strange corner of the universe.

Take care everyone.

Hi all...happy voting day (hah)

Fin, glad you stopped in...sorry you're feeling bad...lots of us are noticing an uptick in spasms/pain...others say change of seasons. Fun...

Didn't get to sleep until 3:30 am this morning, so I spent most of the day laying around watching TV. Then got my mojo on and went out and did one last mowing for the season. Checked on the now-still pond; fishies are still as a board. So we closed it up right on schedule, I guess...

So many of us aren't checking in anymore...feels like our group is fading...

Good Morning -- I guess! I have an post election hangover; from watching election results -- not drinking. I could have used a few drinks however. We are still waiting for the outcome of the governor's race here in Illinois.

My cold is still hanging on, but it is not as bad as it was a few days ago. Sunny but chilly here. It is supposed to get colder in the next few days -- highs in the forties.

Jenn, I glad you checked in. Debbie is right. It seems like alot of us are struggling right now. I have been reading all of the posts but sometimes just hit the thank you button.

I am starting to think about Christmas shopping.

Cold, cloudy, rainy morning here. I slept until a little after 10 AM! Course I was awake at 6 AM before I went back to sleep but I do my best sleeping in the morning.

Debbie, I know what you mean. It does seem like this thread is not getting the traffic it once did. I'm guilty of not posting everyday, too. Maybe now that the weather has turned cooler more of us will be inside.

I posted a lengthy update in the Sanctuary regarding my little great-niece. When I started that thread I had no idea I'd be updating it so many times. I hope this last treatment is the final trial they'll have to endure. I just pray that she is healed and can lead a normal life. A 3-year old deserves to be able to be a child.

There were two tiny little kittens in the backyard yesterday. One orange one and one black one. Both long haired and fuzzy! They were both following an adult cat (the momma cat I presume?) who was sort of a blackish calico colored cat. I moved my patio coffee table over to the side of the storage barn to create a shelter and put a bowl of dry food and a bowl of water underneath it. They all three ate and drank. It just breaks my heart to watch them out there.....all skinny and I know they're cold. They run whenever I open the door so catching them isn't going to happen. I'll continue to leave food and water and just pray for the best. WHY don't people spay and neuter their pets???? So irresponsible not to.

Okay, time to get movin'. I have a huge stack of papers to shread. The cats hate the shredder machine. It's loud, I know, but it has to be done.

Ya'll have a great Wednesday!
