From the time I've gotten up this morning to now I have developed a cold. :mad: Guess that's what I get for posting the "Man Cold" video! :rolleyes: I have sneezed probably a hundred times and my nose is red and raw from using tissues. I just took some Robitussin (that stuff tastes awful!) so hopefully that'll help. Scratchy throat, sniffles, sneezing, achy, coughing. Where did this come from???

Kel, take some zinc lozenges-about 3/day for a couple of days. they shorten your cold like you wouldn't believe...they taste almost as bad as IVSM, but it's worth it...:hug::hug:

My neuro told me to stay away from zinc. I can't remember why.:rolleyes: Hope you recover quickly Kelly.

My driveway and walk are like an ice rink.:mad: I am so afraid of falling. I can't believe I took ice skating as a class in college. Of course, I did not get an A.;)

Mine told me the same thing, Barb, but I can't remember the reason either. :o If I can get DS to make a run to the drug store tonight I'll have him get some Vitamin C. I've been meaning to start taking it but just haven't done it yet. Probably too late for this cold but maybe it'll prevent another one.

Morning all! Hope everyone is feeling better today. :hug: Jim has therapy and then I need to do some shopping for food and stuff for our annual xmas party. My friends are going to a meeting today to advocate for our bill. Apparently a DEA agent is holding it. May have to bail them out of jail! haha Hope it goes well because they denied anyone the opportunity to sit in on the panel for an equal debate.

showed the hubby the "man cold" video he thought it was hilarious, then.........he realized it was pointed at him! :eek: He is up and helping me strip the beds, cause its laundry day. He does feel a bit better, and I am glad for it.

Schools were canceled around here again. More wintry mix. I guess the rural roads are terrible. Sidewalks and parking lots are even icier. Temperatures in Austin are supped to be 75 on Monday. I just hope i can get out of here safely.

Schools in the northern most counties are still closed today. Not sure why......it's in the 50's here today. :confused: I'm so glad the bitter cold spell has broken. Rain is forecast for the weekend but at least the temps will be in the 40's. Still cold but at least not bitter.

I'm making some chocolate chip cookies this morning. I got the recipe from my cousin who said it was our grandmother's recipe. It must be old because it advises to hand stir with a wooden spoon! Sorry......I'm using my electric mixer. I have no strength in my right arm. I hope they turn out good and I hope there is some left by the time DS gets here! :o

I am feeling much better today and the sneezing has stopped for the most part. Not sure what I got into yesterday but it was the pits!

I woke with a sore throat, stuffy sinus, headachy and body achy and dragged myself into the living room. finally got the cats fed, and started the coffee for the DH. I decided to just go back and lay down and he came in to say "can you make pancakes?" I explained that I didnt feel well, as i may have his cold and he said "oh, im sorry you dont feel good. maybe you could just make some eggs then." I dragged myself to the kitchen, grabbed some cereal, and plopped it on the table, and went back to bed. HA!

its frozen here, and the frozen weather hurts! my spastic stuff really goes haywire. Im going back to bed.
