Congratulations, Barb!! That's great! I know you're so proud of yourself. I've sort of stalled at the 45 pound mark but that's okay. I think it's the fact I've been eating (well, really just "testing") the bread I've been baking! :o I'm not a huge bread fan so I'll get back on track. It's just something new.
It's beautiful weather here, too. It was 54 degrees here this morning........aaahhhhhhh. I just love this time of year. I can definitely feel the change in temp and barometric pressure in my legs. It'll take a little bit of time to get acclimated to the change but I welcome it. Nothing exciting happening here. I'm going to get groceries this evening. I found a local farm that delivers organic eggs, raw milk (I'm not getting that!) and organic seasonal vegetables on a weekly basis to various points around the metro area. I found my county's delivery point and it's not even a mile from where I live!! All I have to do is place my order the week before and pay for it via Paypal. If I don't pick it up on the appointed day then it's donated to a food bank. I'm so excited! I'm waiting for my nephew to get here to give me an estimate on what it would cost to paint the interior of my house. Not sure I'm ready for the final $$ amount! I hope he gives me the "family discount"! :o Everybody have a great Friday! :grouphug: |
Barb - Congrats on the weight loss. PF Changs is one of my favs. Here is a link for their nutritional info so that you can figure out the points:
http://www.pfchangs.com/menu/NutritionalInfo.aspx As far as restaurant food goes, theirs is pretty reasonable calorie wise. Now, I may have to go there for dinner tonight! |
Thanks, Holly! Now I'm hungry for PFC!! :D

Yay Barb!!! Great job...I am like Kel...I am stuck on my total loss.:o It
will budge eventually...keep up the good work!!!! I just got up from a two hour nap! I love napping when it rains.:o I really dont get to do that very often and this is my only day this week thats not jam packed. I think I am trying to justify my nap!;):D Everyone have a great weekend. Love and hugs to all!:grouphug: |
Good morning everyone!
Not too much planned for the day. I have some movies to pick up at the library and some to return as well as some books. DDs might come over for dinner tonight and I am looking forward to that. Barb - Congrats on the weight loss. I am stuck on my last 7 pounds. For me, I think it is an exercise thing and once the weather cools I hope to lose the rest. Keep up the great work!!! Sox - Now I want to take a nap on a rainy day. That sounds wonderful. Only, I don't think it is going to rain here any time soon and it is still HOT!!! Ugh! 100s again today. No need to justify a nap at all - just enjoy it.:p Debbie -'s and prayers for you and your family. I agree with what Sandy and Holly said as well. Think how cog foggy we get when we are sick. In fact, a lot of people with or without a disease process going on can get foggy brained when they are sick and/or tired. Hi everyone else! Thinking of you all as well and hoping everyone has a great day! |
Has there really been no one on here since yesterday at noon?:confused::(
Wow! Well hey everyone anyway. I spent the morning looking for deals at the REI garage sale (can you say $220 North Face coat for $40?) and then we had a cub scout picnic. My 13 year old has a friend over and he is going home in a few minutes and then we are going to have a mom / son TV night because the 10 year old and his dad are camping out with the other cub scouts tonight at the park. Catch you guys later. |
Hey all, we're still here. I just got word that a childhood friend passed away this morning. She's been sick and in and out of the hospital. She was doing well the past two weeks, at least we thought so. They gave her a new medicine for 60 pills and when they found her there were only 6 left. :-( Not sure if she took too many by accident or what. So sad. And this is why Jim and I fight so hard for medical cannabis because no one has ever overdosed on cannabis, but they can on pills. This is the third death in the past week for us or our friends.
Anyway, that's how my day has started. We are going to just lay around today and give thanks for what we have. |
Sandy, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. :( Seems the older I get the more and more I hear about folks I know passing on. I know it's just part of life but it never gets any easier to take.
It is an absolutely gorgeous day here. Only supposed to be in the 60's today. I just love it. I saw pumpkins, gourds and bundles of corn at the grocery store the other day. I love this time of year. The cats woke me up early this morning so I've been busy making hamburger buns to put in the freezer. I also made whole wheat bread yesterday and froze 1/2 of the loaf. It really does well in the freezer and all I have to do is nuke it for a few seconds to defrost. Well, since all three cats are napping now (and I'm wide awake).......I think it's a good time to vacuum! :icon_twisted: |
Hi all. Gonna try to check in more often, lol. Hard to keep up. :)
Not a quiet beginning to my fall this year at all. Been a little stressful in these parts. Got uber sick with the first icky bug of the season, and now experiencing drama with a sick fur-baby. If she's not better by tomorrow, we're taking her to the vet. Don't know if she'll be coming home from that. :( She's 16, and I've seen this movie before in the past. So some tears going on in these parts. She's my cuddle one, and she's been with us since the year we got married. :( |
