Took a box a books to Fed Ex to send to my sister. I buy the books, then I send them to her, and after she reads them she takes them to a used bookstore and gets either money or store credit. Does something sound wrong with this deal:rolleyes:? I just made a cous cous salad for diner. It is better if the flavors have a chance to mix together, and I am going to do something with chicken tenders and Panko bread crumbs. It is pretty gloomy here and it feels like snow. Hopefully, we will not get too much.

soxmom -- Hope your son's class does its magic. Being with my niece exhausted me, but I was always smiling and laughing while with her. There is nothing better than being told you are the best aunt in the whole wide universe, accompanied by lots of cuddling.

Whiney, sopping wet blanket alert.

Okay, I am totally overwhelmed. DH's accident, DD's college carp, and then this morning, I went in for my yearly work gripe session, which was lousy. I feared that was coming, but still it hurts a lot. I'm angry, confused, hurt, want to pitch a royal fit, cry my eyes out, then sleep till it all blows over and I have a new job. I can't afford to not work.

Whine over.

Weave, we all have those days. I had a meltdown myself recently. Feeling sorry for myself, why can't we do things like everyone else, I want to leave my house without worry, blah blah blah with a little more blah. Then it's over and feel better, or at least more accepting. :)

Even us caregivers tend to break every once in awhile.

Hey all, our bill failed today 56-60. We still have something up our sleeve but it's a long shot. If this doesn't happen, it will be another 2-3 years before we see it again. :-(

Thanks for the hugs, I am ok now. Just a small boohoo moment.

Happy Friday, everybody! :)

Sandy, I'm sorry about the bill. :( I know you've worked so hard for it.

Jackie, I hope things ease up for you. It's hard trying to be everything for everyone plus take care of yourself, too.

We're expecting some snow here this weekend. I hope it's not much and if it stays north of where I am I'll be happy. I had my "snow fix" on Christmas and I'm good for the year!

I'm sitting here at the window of the sunroom watching the little kittens play in the back yard. The little orange one is chasing his tail and the white and orange one keeps stalking him and then running up and t-boning him when he's not looking! :D They are so entertaining. Apparently they have settled into living in the barn because each morning when I go out to feed them they all come out, stretching and yawning and then they all collapse in a big heap in the doorway. Once they see the plate of food they all three come running. There was a fourth one but he hasn't been around lately. Maybe someone gave him a good home.

I hope everyone is doing well and has a nice, peaceful weekend. :grouphug:

Sandy, I saw that the bill failed. Sorry! I am still waiting to see what they do about the budget, tax increase, and the bill to borrow money to pay pension obligations.

Snow is falling here. Streets are covered. I am staying inside.

Hugs to those that need um.

Finally got my checks in the mail today. I ordered them on Dec 3, and its taken more than a month to get them here. Really upset me, and made me change the way I deal with my money. I certainly wont be using checks in the mail service again. At least I can move forward now.

My eyes are really giving me fits lately. Cant see, they are so dry, and uncomfie. I cant do my computer work, video games, or even enjoy a movie. Makes me angry at MS.

I hope everyone has a great day.
