Tricia, they never cancel classes at the university during the daytime. In my 22 years here, they have canceled class due to the weather one time. They will occasionally cancel evening classes, but even that is pretty rare. To be honest, I am not too excited to be back. Everyone seems grumpy and less motivated (students and faculty alike) during the "Spring" semester until spring really comes. The enthusiasm of the Fall semester has been replaced by the winter blahs.

Hope the massage helps.

Well, I'm up with the chickens! Light fixture that was supposed to be installed yesterday was delayed due to the height of the ceiling and lack of tools....... My landlord called last night and said that he thought about it and decided that I might like a ceiling fan with a light fixture instead of just a track light. The ceiling is very high and vaulted and the kitchen/breakfast area together is large. The fan will be placed in the center between the two rooms. I think it'll look great and I'm so excited he's going to do this for me. They're supposed to be here at 9 AM......we'll see!

It's finally warming up here and yesterday was actually nice. Up into the mid 50's or so. The little barn kitties were out in the backyard running and playing and chasing their tails. It was so cute to watch. They all three are such a little "pack". They go everywhere together and when naptime comes they all pile up together on the lounge chair on the porch. So cute!

Has anyone here (besides Barb!) filed their taxes yet? I think I'm going to try and do mine online today. It can't be hard. I doubt I'll get anything back but just breaking even is fine with me.

Well, time for more coffee. I'll be ready for a nap by the time lunchtime gets here.

Ya'll have a wonderful day!

Well, lots of sickness here. I have the oldest and youngest with strep.
The nineteen year old went to doctors for a weird rash this a.m. and

The rest of this week is incredibly busy so I am hoping to NOT get strep.
I get sooooo sick, its worse than the flu for me.

I started with a cold yesterday so I am praying that a cold is all it is.

I have to go jump in the shower. Love and hugs to everyone!

Take care, Sox! Double up on the Vitamin C. Strep is the worst.

Hey all! for everyone in need. The winter blahs and colds can be the worst.

Nothing big planned, didn't get the utility room cleaned so will tackle that today. Oh and the cat decided it would be cute to puke up a few hairballs downstairs. Nice, NOT.

Sandy, as much wood flooring I have here my cats always manage to find a RUG to get rid of their hairballs on.

Why do they do that? It's like they go right to the carpet and puke it all up. My dog does this too. Hard wood or tile everywhere but no, they find the throw rug or area rug. Ugh

Just part of being a "cat", I suppose. Maybe they think they're doing us a favor by not messing up the wood/tile floor? I guess I could take all my area rugs up but that's too much work.

morning everyone...I love Thursdays, cause Friday's not far behine

Barb, hope you don't get dumped on...radar this morning looked like the central part of the state is getting it...be careful. Only a few more months!!

Sox, hope the kiddies are doing better. My niece's boys got a rash with their strep...doc said that's the sign this time...

Sandy, I think that animals have ESP when it comes to doing things that aggravate us, like messing on rugs. I'm so glad DH didn't put down our area rug after we got it cleaned before the holidays, because this little puppy is a leaker...I never know when I'll find a puddle...

Kitty, I think that a fan is so much better!! It'll be more efficient when you have either the heat or ac on, cause it stirs that air around...

Bracing for the cold coming our way...my body is screaming for a break from this cold weather. I am almost tempted to call the neuro, but he really can't do anything for me. I'm maxing out on the zanaflex, and now my quads are spasming so much they're bringing the legs up...ugh, I hate this...

I took the puppy to the vet's yesterday...he has gained 8 lbs in 4 weeks!! She said he's still too skinny, and based on how active he was in the exam room, she said he probably has a really high metabolism, so she upped his food to 2 cups/day. He still is having problems with housebreaking...he does go to the door to let me know, but he won't hit the bell we put there (hates it), and sometimes he leaks on the way to the door. I forgot how difficult this part of puppidome was...

Well, I plan to take MIL for groceries today so she doesn't have to go out in the frigid weather tomorrow. DH and I are going over for dinner there and then we have to fill their med trays and take down their Christmas decorations.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday...only 8 more weeks until spring!!

Good grief..........landlord has been here since 9:30 AM. Made one trip to Home Depot. Talks to himself non-stop! I'm going to hide out in my bedroom till he gets this fan installed. I can't complain....he didn't have to do this and I appreciate it very much......but dang!
