Did not hear back from the doctor. I decided to stop taking the antibiotic. It is not helping with my tooth pain, and the tummy problems are increasing. The dentist did not suggest that he saw signs of an infection.

(((Barb))) I'm sorry you are having such bad tooth pain. I hope today is better for you. The dentist may have prescribed it in case there is an infection. You can try doing salt water rinses or even peroxide rinses. DBF has horrible teeth. I started him on the peroxide or salt water rinses when his teeth hurt and he has noticed a difference. With the peroxide, don't take a big swig of it as it can burn and/or irritate the mouth. A cap full is all you need. It only takes a little bit and you can mix it with some water to make it easier to swish around. It will foam in your mouth. Once you swished for a while, spit and then do several swishes with plain water to rinse. I know a lot of people gargle with it. I tried that once and it did not go well and my throat ended up more sore than before the peroxide. I now stick with salt water gargle or honey gargles when I have a sore throat. Speaking of honey, honey is a great antibacteria, antimicrobial, and antiviral. You could try that as well. Many studies have been done on it and some burn units now use it on their burn patients to help prevent infection and/or treat infection.

Ok, sorry, I got a little winded there. Not up to much today. I'm in the process of cleaning and reorganizing my room. It is a multipurpose room. My bedroom for when it's not so dang hot , my office for working, and my artwork. Well, drawing & designing - there is no way I would paint in here. I'm too messy. My small bookshelf holds books on one shelf and my indoor art supplies. The books look fine, it's the indoor art supplies that I'm having trouble with. So that is my task for the day. I don't want to spend any money on cute little baskets or anything like that. But, I may make some cardboard ones and decorate them with either paper or paint. Anything to make it look neat and pretty.

I hope you all have a great day today!

Wow, it's amazing how many things you can find to boo-hoo over when you're in that kind of mood.

A friend (early 30's) mentioned that she just changed the first diaper of her life. After we teased her a little, I got to thinking. I don't remember the last time I changed a diaper. It was probably the three-year-old I babysat several years ago. My granddaughter is 21 and there are no babies in my life right now. I would pay $10 to change a baby's diaper right now.

@B2Y im glad you said a "baby" diaper or I could have pointed you to the nursing homes. lol. Babies are so sweet, and smell so good! mmmmm...I want one! I told DS he OWES me babies, but NOT NOW!

Took a shorter walk today. im hot, im grouchy, and over tired. DS called to say he was going to the beach with some girl, and he was taking the day off to just play. I was happy to hear it. He needs a day off.

Its summer time! the street is over flowing with people, cars, walkers, dogs, horses, rabbits, and noise! tons and tons of noise! Fireworks at 1am is NOT my idea of a peaceful nights sleep. On my walk today I saw no less than 3 houses that have so many folks over, they have put tents out on the lawn. I was jumped by some strange man's dog this morning. Im blind so I didnt see him coming till it was way too late. He was very apologetic, but its too late once I am on my fanny sitting in the dirt on the side of the road. I snapped at him that "we have a leash law in this town, for good reason! please LEASH your dog!" of course I got the lecture on how friendly he is, and how he just wanted to say hi...UGH!

rich neighbors went to that travel seminar on internationaltravelvacationsunlimited and were SOLD! they are completely in love with the whole idea, package and presentation and pushed hard to get us to join too. UGH! I looked it up on the website, they have an F rating at the better business bureau, they are on several scam lists, AND Amex wont allow you to charge their service to your card unless they speak to you in person first and warn you about how many scam lists this place is on, and how many complaints they have against the company. um...do I want to join? not just no but HELLO no! So, she is in a snit that I "attacked" her new venture, and I just dont know a good deal when I see one. I will be here in a month when she still hasnt gotten her packages, #s or reservations to go anywhere. Google them, they are a horrible company and for $5k! I can find MANY more ways to spend my money. No common sense, none at all. She just wants to hob knob with the other fancy pants of the world....ICK! She just doesnt get what true riches are.

im off to nap, then snooze, then maybe I will lay down, and perhaps...go to bed early. I tired today. Big storms are coming.

Still relatively cool here. But the heat is coming back this next week. Oh well, it's only July. We all know that August is supposed to be the hottest month. I can't imagine it being any hotter than it's already been.

The folks that own the house next door to me (the one that's for sale) are not keeping up the yard. The house is empty and it hardly ever has anyone come to look at it. Don't they realize that if they just kept the yard neater more people would consider it? I shouldn't complain.....it's quiet.

I got a bunch of stuff gathered up for my garage sale next month. Whatever doesn't sell will be donated or given away. I want to minimalize as much as I can. I must be the opposite of a hoarder! Everything is either recycled, donated or used up. I just don't like clutter.

Neighbors across the street are having a birthday party for their little girl. She's about 3 or 4. They have such a pretty day for it and there are several little girls in the front yard playing....all dressed up in their sundresses and party clothes. So cute! Do kids play outside anymore? When I was a child that's all we did. Sunup to sundown. Kickball, riding bikes, making pretend houses out of pinestraw, drawing in the dirt. Kids don't do this anymore. They're missing out.

I hope everyone has a peaceful Sunday and keeps cool in the heat wave.

I tried to get my pretty boxes done yesterday. Really, I did. I got one done and was going to work on the other but kept getting interrupted. DBF needed a through z yesterday and then I ended up visiting with DD19 and her boyfriend after they got up. DD21 came by to visit and we all ended up playing cards. And before I knew it, it was dinner time. So, I'll be finishing up my project today. The 1st one came out ok. I'm not overly thrilled but it is an inexpensive option until I can get some nice looking baskets or bins.

Kelly - How fun!!!! I miss the kids out playing so much. There are only a few kids on my street and they are only out during the school year. The one thing I miss about my apartment is the kids. I used to either listen to them as I was doing stuff around the house or sit outside and watch them play. (Not in a psycho way. Just was busy painting or reading and would look up and see them playing on the rock hill outside my apartment.) I'd laugh as they would throw their backpacks down the hill and stuff like that. Some of the girls built a village outside my bedroom window. It was quite big. I rarely talked to the kids as now a days that is taboo. But, I always at least said hi or smiled and waved. Sometimes the kids would ask me questions and of course I would answer. Or if they left their toys laying around I would mention to them that they may get stolen. Or a couple of times, I had to point out to them any inappropriate behavior - like the day some older boys were picking on the younger girls building their village. When I moved, there were a group of girls outside, the ones that built the village, and with my DD's permission, I gave them some dolls and "girl" type things. I asked them to come over as I had some things for them. When I opened the door they saw that I was moving. One girl said, "You not moving are you? 'Cause we all voted you the nicest neighbor." I thought that was so sweet. There were days where there would be 15 kids playing by my apartment. It was wonderful.

Dej - Wow! Sounds like summer camp central where you are. Only another month and everyone will be going home. Hang in there!

Vonn - DANG!!! 100 degrees plus the humidity you have is hot. Sounds like a day to focus and get some projects done INSIDE!

Barb - How are you doing today?

B2Y - I haven't changed a baby diaper in a number of years. The last one was probably my niece and she is now 5. Wait, no 5 and A HALF, as she kindly points out.

Hi everyone else! I hope you all have a great day!

They're just cardboard boxes that we had. I cut one side out so I have a top opening and I just glued pretty scrapbook paper on the fronts. The sides won't show as they are going on my small bookshelf and the 2 boxes fit perfectly in there with little room to spare. It's mainly so that when you look in the room you see a pretty and "organized" bookshelf - just don't look inside the boxes. haha

What is Tel-tex?
