Default Hi Hopeless

I do know people down here, that got dropped from their employee insurance, and then their doctors. I hope the system can get fixed, or they need to drop it and start over. More people right now have no insurance than before. My own doctor had a list of insurances he no longer carries on his window, hence dropping patients. ginnie

i'm not because of the current health care changes, however, over my 64 yrs i have lost treasured and trusted dr. sometimes, suddenly. it's very traumatic and creates uncertainty.

but, you can push forward. evaluate the choices you might be given and make the best choice you can.

s ridesg:
What people must accept is the fact that 1) the system was designed to fail. The government ( who loves us) will then take over the system entirely making it a single payer (true socialized medicine) 2) the govt doesn't give a royal damn about our health care it is about taking over 1/6th of the economy. Remember we the people are paying 75% of the premiums
for the Congress and Senate plus their staffs because they can't afford the premiums.

you might call your plan and see if you can request your old dr for your pcp.
i've heard that it might be possible; if the dr is your pcp.

however, you must resolve it by the 3/31 deadline or you can't make changes til the next yr.

I lost my doctor last year. He bailed out and joined the MD VIP program in anticipation of this year's changes.

I still see him for lyme disease, but he won't see me for my many other ailments unless I pay him an extra $1600 a year. I didn't, even though I probably could have, but he had so many of his elderly and disabled patients upset that they did, and those are the people who can afford it the least.

I have no choice but to see him for the lyme, as finding doctors who actually treat lyme is almost as scarce as hen's teeth, but I am extremely unhappy with him. I'm pretty sure that the Hippocratical (or should I say 'hypocritical') oath is 'First, Do No Harm'.

The MD-VIP program is growing by leaps and bounds in my area of the country. Soon there will be very few PCP's left to see without paying an annual fee of $1600 or more.

Heard of yet another doc going to the MD-VIP program just last week.

It is spreading like wildfire.

I'm sorry to hear that. My dr. was the only one doing it in the whole state. Lucky me. It has really compromised the quality of my medical care, just when I was about to get it on the right track. Now I am almost back to square one.

YES! Up until this year I was uninsured because my employer did not offer health insurance. I thought at the time that Obama Care would be the greatest thing because I would finally have some medical insurance. Boy was I wrong. I lost my GP, my Neurologist and my Cardiologist. So basically I have to start all over and finds all new doctors.

I am just afraid when I see that they are getting paid less and less from medicare and might stop taking it. hopefully that won't happen.
