Fin, lol I am like that too. If the boys are home I get nothing done. Even if we aren't doing anything! I don't get how them being home stops me from sweeping the floors or doing yard work but it does. lol

barb02 04-09-2008 06:45 PM

Finn and Frank - Hope everything goes ok for your stepmom and mother

TK - Hope you are taking it easy after your tests.

Renee -- If you have time to read this, I am sending good thoughts your way.

Not much is going on here today. Went out to lunch with a friend. I am trying to eat out less, but I am easily swayed when somone calls me up and asks if I want to meet them for lunch . At least I had a salad. My left leg and back were really bothering me this morning when I went to Wally World, but are less painful now.

We are under another flood warning and are supposed to get alot of rain tonight and some nasty storms tomorrow. I may have to cancel my dentist appointment. Shoot!:rolleyes:

tkrik 04-09-2008 06:52 PM

Sandy - that makes sense as when the boys are home you want to visit and just hang out.

But I agree with both of you as I am the same way. It makes no sense at all. DDs are in independence training though and they have to do their own chores. They will never learn otherwise. They get mad though as I like all community areas (kitchen, living room, dining, & bathroom) clean all the time and call me a clean freak. LOL. Really, I live in a 900 sq ft apt. Cleaning is not as horrid as they make it sound.

Barb - I took a great nap today. 1st one in a while. I will be praying that the rain just passes you by.

Got some yard work done, a load of dishes and laundry, and then hubby and I went out to dinner. Tired now, but it's been a decent day. I'll probably be a lump tomorrow morning, but that's ok. :D

Vonn07 04-10-2008 03:44 AM

hey 'dudes and dudettes' ... :Excited:

well, still busy with taxes :laptop:... and school - already in the 6th week of another session .. so far strong A's in both ...but have a paper due for one and another quiz for another due by midnight sunday ... :Writting:

about the counseling job - not happening .. 'wrong' degree ... guess they don't want smart people working for the government! LOL

I got a secret .. I got a secret .. and if you're all good boys and girls today ... I'll update you after 2pm (CST) ... :Dancing-Chilli:

(no ... nothing to do with a guy .. in fact, he never called back after he said he would about going out for a drink for my birthday ... I've waited a week - and not waiting for him anymore ... moving ON) ..

and we still got snow .. in fact, got 5 more the night before ... but most of it's gone and washed the bird poop off my car anyways - that's what I get for parking under the tree! :Melting 2:

:D

if gov't actually did a good job, then nobody could complain about how bad they are!

I'll be a GOOD girl all day, awaiting your update, Von... :p

Finny, we can be LUMPS together today, okay?

hard to be BAD, when we're just quietly lumping on the couch, with a book, or the TV, eh?

NaeNae, still prayin' for your hubby.

TK, sometimes I think kids having a parent with MS is GOOD for 'em, 'cause it makes them learn how to do laundry, scrub terlets, and prepare meals... makes 'em more independent later... anyway, that's how it worked for me.

when my kids went off to college, their rooms were reasonably neat, and they ATE better than packaged RAMEN. :D

Barb, is your back better yet?

REST, Frank, REST !!

:grouphug::hug::grouphug:

I'm up at 5 am because I got no nappy yesterday, and fell asleep at 8 pm.

ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHH !!!

well, at least everything's DONE, except for the property taxes, I'll do that tomorrow.

have a STELLAR day, everyone.

:winky:

NaeNae 04-10-2008 07:56 AM

Well all you prayer people, thought I'd come on and THANK YOU ALL!!! This morning hubbys enzymes had gone down to 1200....from almost 2300! They are going to do his surgery tomorrow...observes him overnight and if everything is ok they will let him come home on Saturday!!!

Thanks so much Sandy for all the phone calls and keeping people updated! My MS is on the attack now...can't feel my mouth or the whole left side of my face or neck either sets of toes or my fingers on right hand, but YAY!!!!! Hubby is on the mend!

FinLady 04-10-2008 08:24 AM

Renee, :hug: Glad to hear the good news about your hubby. Sorry to hear the stress of everything may have caused your MS to go wonky, but I am very glad your mom is in town to help. Prayers still being sent

Vonn, Kudos on the "A"s!!! :) Sorry you didn't get the job, but maybe another and better one is down the pipeline.

Kay, Yep, I'm a lump this morning, lol. coffee is barely touching how tired I am. Make room on the couch, and I'll ooze on over :D

~~~~~
Woke up a little while ago and tired, ahh the fun of the "pay to play" program. :rolleyes: I'll probably see how I feel later and try to putter around doing small things here and there.
Hope everyone has a good day
NaeNae, there's only "anecdotal" evidence to show that a serious STRESSOR precipitates flares with MS.
but I did an informal poll in my support group (a decade ago, back in the US) and it was VERY clear to us... that *everyone's* initial exacerbations were preceded by some big ol' trauma (major surgery, ski accident, car crash, big family problem, etc.)
and for many of us, a traumatic event (divorce, sick child, legal trouble, etc.) could bring on a NEW flare...
so, pretty please, with EXTRA sugar on top?
don't forget to TAKE IT EASY right now, and take good care of YOURSELF too!
promise!?!?
:grouphug:
'cause we LOVEs ya, NaeNae, and worry 'bout ya!
