Hey Kay ... any type of excursion is going to tucker you out for awhile!! glad THAT's over with!! can you stay??

I don't know what happened to Renee's package??? don't think there's anything breakable ... and replaceable .. just have to make more mice!

still holding A's in my classes ... actually, the stats class is fun ... wish I would of went down to Milwaukee and worked for the Brewers back in 1977 ...

I designed out a 'lonestar' pattern ... and have most of it together ... I have NO idea why I have all these books and patterns .. I make up my own - do it MY way! LOL

I think I'm going to venture out to Alpena, Michigan in October - been wanting to go there for the past 10 years ... Lighthouse Festival ... I'll go and pick up Bannet so she'll leave her mailbox for a few days!! thinking about going out to the Twin Cities in mid-May ... and down to see Sandy&Jim this summer ... let's see - oh, yeah .. Renee's got room out in VA ... that's if she's still speaking to me with this package mis-hap!

okay - nite all

"Residency" takes a year, and "Citizenship" takes five years.

it's hard to tell how long the approval process will take, because they keep amending the rules, and adding requirements.... we turned in our application early last summer, and it's still pending!

after one year of living here (without leaving) one can apply for "Permanent Residency" which involves providing proof of income, bank statements, local and Interpol police records, a full medical exam, blood tests, marriage and birth certificates, and showing land deed and tax receipts.

naturally, since I fell asleep at 8 pm, now I'm WIDE awake at 4 am!

they'll let me stay, but I want the "Residency" so we can:

1. cross the border without fees
2. get a permit to sell our produce at the market
3. vote in local elections
4. STOP having to go and renew our Visitor's Visa every month ($200 bucks!)

rabies? lol, no, but we had to do AIDS and VD tests... geez, like we're suddenly going to start sleeping around at OUR ages ?!?!

they took my phone number, and said they'll call us in three weeks, for yet ANOTHER appointment!

gack, I wish this part was OVER, so I could RELAX in my hammock, and watch my ducks do their fabulous splash-landings in my pond...

I should have gotten up and chatted with you Kayo unfortunately I felt like poop warmed over. I started coughing and having trouble breathing yesterday evening,was up all night hacking my head off,aching,and running a fever..YAY...still feel like doody today. Worse I have to go out this evening to buy groceries because I have to have my van in the shop all day tomorrow to get my lift installed. And to add insult to injury it is freezing here and hubby came in 10 minutes after he left this morning to tell me his tire blew out on his beemer, so he had to take my car today. Add getting new tire to list of things to do tonight! SOOOOOO LOL I am no beacon of sunshine today! Quick someone make me feel better!

AWWW (((Renee))). You are not starting you day off very well. I hope you start feeling better. Are the kids going to have a day off today? Instead of a snow day, a mom's sick day? Can hubby help out when he gets home? You know go to the store for you? etc.

~~~~~
I have to bring kitty back to DBF's tonight. I will miss her. Although I do get to visit her on weekends as well as DBF and his dog.
Oh, how sad. I just realized I don't have ANYTHING planned for today. This very rarely happens. Usually I have something going on. Oh dang it! Now I have to think of something. My brain is not opened up enough to read today. Too complex. I am downloading dictation to type right now so I know I have to work in a little bit. But after that, ummmmmm, oh it will be nap time.
oh, honey, that blows! here's your beacon of BRIGHT YELLOW sunshine:
I got me a full rain-suit yesterday, bright yellow overalls, and a hooded jacket.
and high white rubber boots, for that special finishing touch!
to cheer you up, picture me waddling and hobbling around in that flashy get-up at dawn, passing out the animal munchies.
it was just getting TOO darn hard to maneuver with buckets, pails, and sacks, AND carry an umbrella, AND watch out for bugs and snakes, AND keep the bunny pellets dry, AND not slide in the mud!
lol, I think I need windshield wipers for my glasses, it's raining so hard!
got my helper using woodchips and sand and gravel to make me a couple new pathways, and now he's wearing my lovely new outfit!
that's when I realized how SILLY it looks!
Good Morning Everyone! TGIF! We are up to 10 degrees here; I imaginge it still is even colder for all of you up north. I do not have a lot planned for today. I am meeting a friend for lunch. I just got a call from the secretary in my department; they are planning our teaching schedules for next fall. I do not want to think about next fall already!
I'm glad everyone seems to be finding this site. Hopefully, we do not get "kicked" out of here
Cayo, I would like to see a picture of that rain outfit.
Renee, Hope you are doing better soon.
My legs and back are feeling a little better today.
Shelia, what are you reading now?
Hey all! Good to see everyone here. last night I didn't do much of anything. Well, Ok, maybe I did. I cut the dogs nails, swept the floors, cleaned the kitchen, packed a bag and threw everything into the bathroom...lol
Today's job...clean the bathroom. BTW, -6 degrees here. Yay for us!
