Good morning all:) Have my normal cup of coffee, and yes - I did remember to put the pot back where it belonged. :D

Have a painting for my boss half done. Doing a kind of sunset thing. Hope I can convince hubby to take a pic before it goes to it's new home.

Hope everyone has a great day today.

~~~~~
Renee, like the pic of the house. Sorry to hear the race has everything booked up so you can't take the trip.
Frank, Thanks for the check in. Now get some rest while on the good pain meds. ;)
Vonn, Maybe the flex time will be helpful. It will take away from your appeal for ssdi since it's full time, but if you can handle the workload - I'm all for trying the new job. It sounds great! :)
Carolyn, So good to see you. How's the Studio going? Sounds like you are keeping busy. :)
Good morning everyone! I hope you are all having a great day.
I got my freedom back yesterday so if I don't post much know that I am out driving somewhere. I don't know where. It will be errands of some sort as gas is too expensive to just go driving around for the shear joy of it.
*making up a list of silly and meaningless errands*
~~~

Frank - Enjoy the meds. Did you make that jailbreak last night? I do hope you start feeling better soon.:hug:

Renee - Dang! I was really hoping you would say it was a huge ruby! LOL. I am glad you are starting to feel somewhat better.

Vonn - The name sounds great. That way you can incorporate other works of art in to it, not only your own but others as well. I know a lady who makes incredible quilts. She has her own website and sell some of her quilts but she mostly wants to focus on selling her designs/patterns. (BTW - She is almost 80!). Good luck with it as well as with the possible bookkeeping job. Let us know how it works out.

Carolyn - It's great to see you post. What a ride!!!!! OMG! That is awesome about the LDN. Sounds like you are going to be their LDN poster woman.

Fin - Please post a picture of your painting when it is done. I'd love to see it. Unfortunately, I have not done much with the Harley painting I am doing for DBF. But when it is done I will have DD18 take a picture so I can post it. (I am not good at photographing pictures).

Was thinking last night I need to paint! I haven't painted a thing since the last one I showed yall!

Frank, want me to come drive the getaway car???? BTW Do the drugs rock?? LOL

Vonn-not sure but having occupational specialist reports and applying for disability and going thru all those motions seems kinda like a waste of time if you are planning on starting your own business and applying for jobs...that is so not gonna look good to anyone deciding to grant you disability. But if you CAN work instead of the disability thing then Great!!! I wish I could!!!!

Carolyn-Glad you decided to drop by and let us know the gallery hasn't killed you! Glad you got to Go to Boston though what drama you got to experience!
Congrats on the LDN working for you I know Lori used to swear by it. Keep in touch girly we worry when we don't hear from you in too long!

Wonder what kind of trouble Sandy is into today???? And lets not forget Kay...she's prolly putting in a new highway or something!!

Jenn you naughty thing you are rubbing off one me guess who left the coffee pot sitting on the stove this morning!

TK-I'm hoping for a fabulous black diamond!

SandyC 05-09-2008 10:51 AM

Frank, hurry home! Many here miss you.

Renee, any stones?

Vonn, thanks for helping me understand. I pray your new bookkeeping job comes through for you! How cool!

Carolyn, sheesh girl, that would have made me pee my pants! Thanks for checking in!

Jenn, I need to start painting again. I am afraid if I do right now everything will be gloomy with all that's going on with my mom...haha!

TK, don't let the knuckles get too white driving today! I am so happy for you. Remember when Jim was able to drive again? We don't talk about the bean field anymore but he was so proud and happy.

UPDATE: I have to finish laundry. I keep forgetting it. I wonder why?

FinLady 05-09-2008 10:55 AM

Renee, LOL! Sorry I rubbed off on you about the coffee pot. :D

Sandy, I didn't remember that you painted. That's cool! :cool: Sometimes gloomy is ok. Sometimes getting those feelings out is a good thing.

TK, enjoy the "me" time while running errands today. Hope it's nice in your neck of the woods so you can have the windows down while driving. :)

tkrik 05-09-2008 11:47 AM

Sandy - Gloomy can be ok. If you look at some paintings they are gloomy and dark yet beautiful. Also, think of your mom when you paint. Come up with a happy memory and paint from those feelings. Pick colors from that memory and just slap some paint around the canvas. No particular order or definition, just splat on to the canvas. The define it after the colors are on. You'd be surprised at what you will come up with as well as how relaxed you will feel afterwards.

Talked to boss again today. My official last day is Wed. :Dancing-Chilli:

Got home and told hubby. He was sure I'd convince myself to stick around longer, lol. He's so happy I finally made the decision to take care of myself, it's contagious!

Have a great weekend all :)

NaeNae 05-09-2008 07:48 PM

No stones dangit! But I did get a really big batch of spasms today after preparing dinner for my family and two of the neighbors!

WOOOHOOOOO Jenn! Welcome to the crazy world of the formerly gainfully employed!

Vonn07 05-09-2008 09:40 PM

hey all ...

maybe it's just me - I'm trying to survive with no steady income ... and figure that I have to force my body to work and deal with the daily pain - not happy about it, but ... I have to have a better living condition and pay my bills and figure out the enormous debt now, thanks to this dx.

apparently, the "programs" that are out there are just words ... because it's hard - and I have to do this alone, didn't ask for it, didn't want it, or realize that I was going to deal with something like this. I'm tired of waiting and hoping. tired of trying.

excited for you, Jenn ... still hurt for you, Renee ... dusting off my paintbrushes, too - Tricia and Sandy!!

I'm good - patience isn't one of my better virtues .. sorry!

FinLady 05-10-2008 04:32 AM

Vonn, patience isn't one of my virtures either, lol. ;)

~~~~~~
I woke up at 5am, and have no idea why. :confused: A little tired still, but I am wide awake. actually debating whether to start coffee or if I should try to see if I can sink back into sleep -LOL.
