Ok I'm here! First of all I have read all of ya'lls post and all I can say is we all so need a spa day!!!

I have.....the flu which turned into bronchitis and my sinuses are impacted which led to bilateral ear infections, and my lungs sound like junk! So, the doc put me on a decongestant, something for my cough,an inhaler, an antibiotic and some ear drops. If not better in five days we reassess!

The good news....I have my orientation for my gastric bypass on Valentines Day! 4 hours ack, then I have to jump thru all the hoops....nutrition counseling, psychological testing, studies of my heart, lungs and stomach,as well as my pap smear and mamo (yes Sandy I still have not had them) and then I get to have surgery they said usually in 6-8 months. I told Sandy how much I weighed today which was a huge step for me as my hubby is the only person besides my doc that has EVER known this! Just think by this time next year...I'm sending you all my bikini calendar! LOL J/K

Renee, ugh! sorry to hear all that. Hope the meds help.

I do agree with the need for a spa day!

Tammy, sorry to hear about the pain

Barb, OMG! Sorry to hear about your day. ***passes Barb some chocolate chip cookies***

Vonn, Hope you stay warm with all that snow heading your way.

TK, Hope you got a nap in. Glad to hear you had some good phone calls today.

I forgot how tiring sitting in a class was, LOL. I'm exhausted.

Just planning to curl up on my couch and maybe make some coffee soon so I don't ruin my sleep schedule by falling asleep too early.

Renee, get better soon!

Vonn, they changed the forecast. Now we are under a wind advisory and a tornado watch. It is raining really hard right now and I probably should get off the computer.

I am doing fine. Just had an annoying morning and wanted to vent Chocolate did help!

Update on weather -- temperature has dropped 20 degrees in last hour and thunderstorms have turned to thunder with heavy wind and freezing rain. Hope we do not lose electricity.

I am here!

Just been working around the house getting stuff ready for the big trip. You know how it is Tammy...the whole house must travel with us. I told Jim we need to buy a camper trailer, handicap accessible of course!

I still don't know how much I need to give my mom. We are having a hard time figuring it all out week to week. Mom is filing her w2's this next week so we'll know what she gets back. Plus he job is handing over all her vacation, sick time and personal days in one lump sum. How do I know that? I sneaked and called her work. Can you believe they told me? Shhhhh, don't tell Mom or she'll have a fit!

I just want to make sure we give what is needed and Mom agrees. I did tell her to take a weeks worth of pay and put it in a savings account for a future vacation since brain surgery isn't really a vacation. So, I told her we all need to to breath and we'll sit down and figure it all out with checkbook in hand before we come home.

Renee, I will never tell what you told me. Pinky swear!

Our update is Jim is doing fine. He has a major pain in his upper back that happens every morning. It's like someone is taking a tazer to him and he can't move his left arm. After about 15 minutes he is fine but gosh, what is it?

That's about it. Nothing special. lol

Hi All,
Hard trying to keep up with everyone in this thread....

But Renee, I hope you feel better soon. Had a touch of the flu here too, but I'm on the mend now. Good luck on your surgery. I wish I could do that. I've struggled with my weight since the birth of my 14 yo son. No fun at all. I don't think I qualify though since I'm about 50 lbs overweight.

Sandy - I pray everything turns out well for your Mom. Take care and we'll be praying for her.

My update -
Not much - I live a boring life Work, work, work. DD17 had an issue where she wasn't doing her homework in Spanish and totally lied to us about it and we've taken the car keys from her and her cell phone. That makes it hard for us to have to taxi her around, but sometimes you have to do what you have to do The joy of teenagers. My DS14 is totally the opposite he is obsessive about doing perfect in school, involved in everything. It's amazing how two children from the same household can be so different. I guess you always have to have one rebel. MS is still treating me fairly well. Not really having any problems, but I really need to take some time and exercise more. That always helps me have SO much more energy. I haven't gotten any exercise in for about a week now and I'm beginning to feel it.

Hope everyone is well and having a good night

Kathy
