Congrats, Carolyn .... can't wait to start shopping online! :)

way to go on the snowblowing, Sandy ...

yes, Sarah ... I'm working on getting my act together ...right now - taxes have OFFICIALLY kicked in ... and I have 5 returns to personally pick up tomorrow - and whatever is in the mail (so far, 3 are there) ...

I unloaded a carload at the thrift shop yesterday ... and walked out with a Liz Claiborne PURPLE alligator clutch .. brand-spanking-new (the silica gel packet was still inside) .. for $3 ... and NEW JC Penney's shower curtain for $2 ...

I have some room ... and making more ... thinking about moving in March ...

well - gotta go ... talk to you all ... Renee - when your roses get limpy: start peeling them and flattening them ... then, I'll paint a pix with your flowers for you!!

Kay ... can I come down for a shower??? no water for 3 days ...

didja get to do anything inland? like ruins, or caves, or the jungle zipline tours?

it's like California, when I lived in the snowy foothills, and many people think CA's all about the beach!

I live as far as one can get inland (almost to the Guatemala border, next to the Xunantunich ruins), and have only been to the coast twice in three years...

Kay, sorry I didn't answer your question sooner.:o I just saw it as I was reading back through the thread. I enjoy the beach, but my main interest is the Mayan ruins and jungle excursions. We've been to Chichen Itza, Tulum, and Palenque in Mexico. Chichen Itza is my fav. We've been there several times. There's a really cool cave on the way to Chichen Itza.......can't remember the name of it, but soooo enjoyed it. We were only in Belize for one day and night. We only had time to do a jungle tour. We're planning a 22-day "cultural immersion" trip. The trip includes Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, and Honduras. We're going in Feb of '09 or '10. My dh has referred to me as a jungle junkie....lol. I just think the ruins are so impressive and beautiful.

Hi everyone,

I'm still new here but thought I'd come visit. I have FMS. It's been 33 and rainy here all day. Surpisingly I was able to get some shopping done but cut it short because legs got to wobbly and didn't want to fall down and scare anyone. Insomnia is pretty bad these days but at least I have the computer to keep me company on nights like this.

I have to go for a biopsy of my uterus on Friday. So nervous alot about that. But trying to keep a positive outlook.

talk more soon, don't want ya'll to get sick of me to quick, lol

Sara

What a beautiful area you must live in Kay.

I do have a love of ancient ruins like the one you showed, and have lots of photos saved on my computer, such as Chicken Itza and some of the Mayan ruins.

I think if I had my life to do over again, I'd like to be an archeologist. Thank you for sharing.

I want snow! We got a whopping 15... minutes of it last week. Just enough for the hillbillies to wreck their pick-em up trucks.

Today is a new day. With sobriety and weight loss. And life and the world in general. Going over some Moose Motivational Therapies. (Loud music and my journal).

Today is a new day.

Ah...music therapy. I love to listen to Nine Inch Nails really loud when I'm down coz Trent Reznor is sooo much more depressed and angry than me. It actually cheers me up LOL

CayoKay 02-02-2008 09:44 AM

lol, joelle! so true...

I come along but I don't know where you're taking me
I shouldn't go but you're wrenching dragging shaking me
turn off the sun, pull the stars from the sky
the more I give to you, the more I die
