thanks, everyone ..
I'll be fine ... shouldn't get my hopes up ... I should know better ... and yes, Sandy ... I gave him a quick jingle on sunday around 2 about running back over to the place we were at on Friday to pick up their tax stuff - around 5 ... and maybe grab a pizza ... but nothing ... and I know that the cell is 'attached' to his hip ... oh well ... going outside ... and try not to think about it .. next few days will be crazy-busy ... but, I'll stop in ...thanks!! |
Wow everyone! I don't know where to start. Let's see . . .
Kay - YIKES! Slow down, girl! I hope your ankle heals quickly. Fin - Hope you have a great time at dinner tonight. It is always fun to do stuff like that. Renee - I am glad the Ty went well for you today. I really hope this works for you. Vonn - I'm so sorry. Don't give up all hope. Remember he has friends who have friends who have friends. It may be that he is busy. I am glad to hear that you at least gave him a call. The ball is in his court now. Don't sit around waiting though. Go out and live your life. Let us know how it goes. I have a brother. . . LOL. Sandy - Doesn't that carp just tick you off! My wallet got stolen from work and I never replaced the cc's. I just canceled them. Now I pay cash for everything. Surprisingly, many companies like that you pay cash and give you larger discounts. I got my $1,200 leather couches for 1/2 off for paying cash! Of course, I told them that there is no way I can afford $1,200 couches and went to leave the store. Mind you these were used couches but in great condition. They also gave me 2 free lamps. They're ugly but free. I ended up selling them at a garage sale we had to raise money for the American Brain Tumor Association and made a donation in memory of my brother. Greta - OMG you have a lot going on. I am so glad to hear that you decided to have a little one. I hope that goes well for you. Despite losing the vacation, your "new" job sounds like it will be a great career move for you and challenging as well. Good luck. My update: It's almost the same as yesterday. LOL. Ok, I did work a little today as I had a few reports to type. The DD 17 helped me move some of the furniture and now I whipped. Getting ready for my nap. |
Wow, there is so much going on here so I am just going to reply to a few posts:
Renne - I missed your post about tysabri and just read it. I am happy it went well. They are going to slow down my infusion the next time. I think it is interesting they did yours slower from the start. Vonn, I can't remember that last time I went on a date. It's probably been about 15 years so I really impressed you are still trying. I gave up:p Kay, Sorry to hear about your ankle. I hope you are taking it easy and giving it time to heal. TKrik -- Noce to see you back. Sandy -- Stay away from those frat houses. In my experience they are a little smelly:D Hope your son is ok. My update: Went shopping yesterday and had lunch at Red Lobster. I love those cheesy biscuits. Had to go to pcp today for a "pee" test. I constantly have to go and it is driving me crazy. Need to make sure I do not have a UTI. They sent the sample to the lab as there was a trace of blood. So now I am drinking cranberry juice and waiting for results which will not be back until Thursday. |
Hi all :) Happy but tired from our visit with our friends. A little more cog-foggy than I thought when I logged on, so I think I'm gonna call it an early night.
Take care everyone. :grouphug: |

I'm glad you told them to kiss your behind, LOL!!!! Carolyn:D:hug: |
The fog has lifted, lol. :D
Vonn, That's a most disturbing thing to find a police officer knocking on your door than having to tell him he has the wrong place. Would've freaked me out. Sorry to hear that you haven't heard from your friend. Sandy, grr. hearing about CC companies always make me mad. If it wasn't the need to have at least one revolving account for a decent credit score, I swear I'd chop mine up. Barb, Hope you don't have a UTI. Keep drinking your cranberry juice and take care of yourself. Renee, Glad to hear your infusion went ok and that your labs are good. :Dancing-Chilli: Greta, Wow, how exciting for you! Going overseas, maybe thinking of starting a family - it's great! :trampoline: TK, Glad to hear you got some work done and some furniture moved around. :) ~~~~~ LOL, my hubby is getting impatient for warm dry weather. He's itching to get back on his motorcycle. With all the melting snow, I think it's going to be a little while for dry roads. It's nice to know I'm not the only one getting impatient for spring, LOL. Of course it's fun having cabin fever together. Our walls show signs of both of us bouncing off of them. :D |
Barb - I hope you don't have a UTI. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Fin - Glad you had a good time with your friends. I will try to send some dry air your way as it is so, so dry here. There are times when I can feel the moisture being sucked out of me. We go through lotion and lip balm like crazy. And, tell DH that spring is in the air here and the Harley's are out all over the place especially on the weekend. Well, I did a bad thing. Last week was crazy - fatigue, that time, 3 days of fighting a cold, and my busiest time for work. So, I didn't do my nasal lavages and guess what - sinus infection I am sure. Waiting for Dr. office to open up to schedule an appointment to get the antibiotics before it starts wreaking havoc on the MS. I'm so mad at myself this morning for not doing the lavages. I did do the extra vitamins (EmergenC) twice a day and since I felt better within 3 days I thought I kicked it. Hope you all are having a good day! |
okay - here's a good one: (please laugh along)
why didn't yous tell me that guys don't come with instructions! LOL I was IMing with a new friend last night - and I had one of those "ah-ha" moments! it finally dawned on me (okay - it took 4-5 days) .. he just met the queen! LOL and is not sure what to do?? seeing a sick person OUT IN PUBLIC and ENJOYING HERSELF (me!) .. had to be a real shocker! yes .. I DO have limitations .. and YES, I was in pain the whole time - but I didn't flinch .. I wanted (and made it) to be a good time! why was I beating myself up about this?? he doesn't realize that he was in the presence of royalty!! (okay okay - I'm poorer than a church mouse, but I looked and felt like a million bucks!) it's only wednesday - and guys have no timetable ... and remember - it took him almost 6 months to finally call me .. and when he did - it was on his birthday in the middle of tax season! just because I'm 'sick' doesn't mean that I'm just lying around in my deathbed! thought you'd enjoy my 'V-8' moment!! |
Vonn,
Didn't he call you on Friday last time to ask you to meet him that very evening?? Men have no concept of time. . . . we expect them to call us at least three maybe four days ahead of time to ask us out. We'd like to think that they feel like "I want to ask her out before someone else does" but that thought never enters their little pea-sized brains. True to form they will call the night of to see if we'd like to go out. And then we feel like kickin' ourselves for accepting 'cause that just told them that we had nothing else going on. I hope he calls you - I really do - and you know him best but make him squirm a little before you accept his request to go out again!! :D |
ankle still tender...
got it elevated, and wearing an ace bandage. resting between bouts of company... it's SO nice to hang out and yatter, and especially good because my visitor owns goats, and pointed out that mine have picked up mites (ouch, I'm soooo blind, I didn't notice, and neither did hubby.) also interesting, because her cousin has MS, and we were able to trade "notes" on the subject, and I got to hear an "outsider's" perspective. also good, because since we get to see fellow Yanks quite rarely, it makes the visits a treat, and I find I listen closely, and enjoy myself muchly. as long as it's just a FEW folks at once... Kay still hates crowds, lol! San: I chopped up ALL my cards but one... still hangin' onto that AmEx GOLD card, lol... might NEED it for emergency travel, right? good-onya for taking ACTION, and not laying back and lettin' 'em rake you over the coals with their BS fees for everything. at one point in 2003, I was sending my payments via CERTIFIED MAIL, so somebody had to SIGN for them. 'cause I was gettin' LATE FEES, when I KNEW the payments were on TIME, by the date the CHECK cleared my bank! so, copying bank statements, with the particular check highlighted, (and sending that in certified too!) I was able to have the BS fees removed, but... it's a PITA to untangle this stuff, especially when ya gots other things on your plate. did y'all know that BANKS and CC companies are hauling in a BONANZA and making RECORD MEGA-$$s from their FEES and stuff, maybe even than from actual loans and interest? A bonanza reaped in secret Discovering all the ways you can get dinged is often a process of trial and error. Banks don't typically publish their complete fee schedules on the Internet, and the first time many people learn about a fee is when it shows up on their account. All these fees, hidden or not, have helped many banks turn in record profits in recent years. Credit card fees alone jumped 18% last year, to $24 billion. Overall, bank fees are on track to top $55 billion this year, said Robert Hammer of investment banking firm R.K. Hammer. http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com...sThanEver.aspx |
