Ahhh, kids. Can't live with them, can't live without them. Mine just came up and decided HE wanted to sit in the living room with me. So, he proceeds to plug in his laptop when instead he unplugs the tv/dvr. I was in the middle of watching a movie I taped and now the dvr isn't working because it's rebooting. ARGHHHH!!!! He just says "sorry" and smirks? You know, the one that says "hahahaha mom"

thanks too Sandy for the advice not to do too much before trip lol..I will give that a try...hehehee I just realized by owner that someone has to be at work tonight at close 10pm while the stack cleaners are there....I forget that at my new store no overnt maintenance..like other store so you didnt need a manager there....my closing manager is not into doing extras...so it isnt worth asking him to stay ...although I asked he said no...but to pay someone to be there and know they wouldnt take the time to do extras like cleaning....

so I might be heading back in for 10pm....but I can work on the crew schedule tonight then for a bit...and instead of going in at 6am to do crew schedule..I will go in for 9 or 10am..and have shorter day....

going to rest soon and snuggle the kids since going back in...I was there already from 7am-4pm fun fun being the boss...

Good morning everyone. Gonna be hot, hot, hot here today so I will be staying inside.

I just put a pan of brownies (with walnuts) in the oven and will make chicken fettuccine with the leftover grilled chicken later today for our supper.

Just doing a load of towels and bathroom rugs (anyone with boys knows it's pointless to put a rug in front of the toilet ). I'm hoping to take a nice, long nap this afternoon.

Jenn- high of 90 it was freakin 107 here yesterday! Supposed to be the same today, I am doing nothing but hiding out here in the AC!

Went shopping yesterday and bought some cute outfits so now I have professional wear!

My plans for today -- Running a few errands this morning, packing for my trip home, and hiding inside. We are under a heat advisory until tomorrow evening. Supposed to be mid 90s here with a heat index of 105. When I complain my little sis tells me that it has been above 100 in Texas for a few weeks now. We have a chance of getting nasty storms here tomorrow so I hope I do not have to deal with those while driving.

Renee, I have a closet full of professional wear that I no longer need. PM me if you would be interested in some of it. Mostly Fall/Winter things but some Spring/Summer things, too.

I was just looking at all my strappy sandals and high-heeled shoes yesterday. I miss wearing them......

on my way over to Kelly's for brownies ... and I'm bringing a squirt bottle of water for misting ... can't believe the 100's + all over the place!!

Renee - got rid of most of my clothes already ... BUT, I kept the jackets that I got at goodwill! these are on their own away from all the regular clothes - and there are some wonderful jackets .. I walked out with 2 leaf bags full of 7 jackets (and a top and some flannel pants) ... for $45 when I started the new job back in August 2006 ... and the jackets are top of the line!

UPDATE::

woke up at 4am ... with thunder and lightening ... so I closed the windows - but opened the drapes to watch the storm over the lake and watch the sunrise around 530 ... still pooped ... tried to catch some zzz's after the store passed over around 525 or so...

keep your fingers crossed - the lady with the women veterans group already emailed me .. and should be getting my papers ... and I asked about getting a loan to consolidate my debt! ... she's going to see if I qualify ... woo hoo!!

hope everyone has a great day ... going to work on putting my bed together and get some basic food items .... and check on you thru-out the day!

Popping in long enough to say hi and give an update. I'll read up on everyone later. Great to see more people posting here but harder to keep up with everyone. A nice problem for once.

Anyhoo... Harvested some more zucchini this morning and am planning to run some errands today. It is supposed to be warm but with lower humidity today so a good day for some running. The next few days look like high humidity and storms. Not fun driving weather in my book. Will get a list together and plan my day/ week.
