Makes you go hmmmm.....

It is all too weird. They have my application, then the don't, then they do. Go figure. I am on Medicare and Medicaid (state program) and DD18 is on the state program (not KidsCare). I have 2 wonderful ladies helping me out at the DES office (not my local one). There were calculation errors made back in July when I called them as I got a hospital bill. The ladies are helping me with that. Both of these women work together and both have been very responsive.
Anyhow, what I have learned though is that there are no programs via the state or federal that helps disabled parents on SSDI with health care for the kids. (Mind you, I'm single on top of all of that). It is not as if we can go out and get a job with benefits. We don't have that option. There is no criteria/provisions for something like that in this state. I have been trying to check in to programs at the federal level and haven't found any. I may call the paper about this. It is a loop hole in the federal and state systems that affect many. I am sure I am not the only disabled parent out there going through this.
One of the ladies that I have been working with gave me the name and number of someone that may know of some program. Should I find one, I will let you all know.
