Allen, Jim plays Xbox and has been thinking of going online to play. He was into fantasy football for years but is taking this year off. I thought I would fall over when he said he wasn't doing it. His fantasy football was the equivalant of hunting season. lmao

Sometimes I wish I had a game console, but most of the time I am not to good at those kinds of games. You need those lightning reflexes lol.

The games I play online are everquest, aka evercrack because of how addicting it is, and star wars galaxies. You dont need reflexes of a cat, just a good broadband connection and a good computer. 4 of my sons get online with me and we go orc hunting, or try to put down the evil empire with our jedi knights LOL. It is so fun, and I get to visit with some of my kids at the same time.

Fantasy football could be called an addictive game, almost every guy friend I know plays it, and they win real dollars. I guess that is the lure besides putting together a winning team. He should try the xbox online, one of my sons says it is the only way to play. Of course he isnt one of the ones that plays with us because he doesnt have a computer.

I really do miss working, it was such a fun job that sometimes they had to make me go home LOL.

Hi Frank

Not to mention once you are home things need to be done there as well. Having a quilting corp where it's all non profit and works around your schedule doesn't mean one can work a full time or part time job. That is the type of job that can work around your schedule if need be and from home. Some day's one may be able to get up and go to work and other times they can't, not to mention if you are in the process of trying to get SSDI. For those who can still work, congrats and keep on trucking man. But for those of us who stay at home we aren't just sitting around all day. We still have houses and things to keep up just like before. Only now, the time is more flexible. JMHO

Wow! Where did that come from? If you really think that is what I was saying, then you have completely and totally missed the point of my posts.

I am not even going to try to explain all of the points that you missed but I will elaborate on the quilt corp for Vonn's benefit, which was the reason behind the effort to help.

I am sure you already know this since you have been filled in on the fine intricasies of Social Security Disability Benefits law but an ALJ might just look at an ability to start up a corporation (profit or otherwise) as an ability to engage in substantial gainful activity.

Do I think it? No. But I am not the one sitting on the bench either. And just in case you have missed previous posts, there have been others who have warned her to keep mum on the corporation.

At no time did I say ANYTHING about people who do not work outside of the home. Furthermore, the only time I addressed anything to your attention was to try to clarify your misinformation about Social Security procedures.

You know, this happened to me before when I was trying to help. So, that's it, I'm done. I will keep my nineteen years of experience of trying to secure disability benefits for people to myself. I will then try to force myself to sleep knowing that I let someone believe incorrect information because "someone else" told them otherwise.

I will stick to the Pollyanna posts where I laugh at all the jokes, never have an opinion and wish everyone a nice day as I keep on truckin'. It's worked pretty well for the past year or so. I should have known better. JMHO. LOL.

Frank, I'll give you some of my coffee

~~

Morning everyone! Just woke up a little while ago, so I'm a bit foggy this morning.

Not sure what's ahead for the day today. But I'll worry about that once I'm really awake, LOL

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hey everyone! Today is Jim's birthday! We're going to hang out around the house and maybe try some fishing later. He's manning the phones right now with people calling to wish him a happy birthday.

Hope everyone has a great day and stays cool!

Did anyone see the video of the Olympic weightlifter whose arm snapped while he was lifting the barbell? My boys have shown it to me about a dozen times...I think it's on YouTube. It looks awful - poor guy.

It's supposed to rain here today - maybe this afternoon. Our grass needs cutting but it might just have to wait until tomorrow.

I sent Matt to the grocery store this morning with a pretty extensive list. The only thing I forgot to give him was my debit card!!! He never said a word. Just went to the store and bought everything on the list ($103 worth!!). Of course, once I realized I had forgotten the debit card I called him. He said not to worry about it. I will, of course, worry about it and will try to give him cash after I can get to the ATM. He says he won't take it.....okay, I know it all averages out in the wash but I feel bad.

I'm just doing laundry today. Probably going to finish a book I started, too.

I hope everyone has a good Saturday. Jim and Sandy, enjoy your day together!

Awwww Kitty, that was so sweet of your son. I know you feel bad but he probably wants to contribute in some way. What a sweety pie.

I need to go look at that video. How horrible!
