some of these pencil-pushers don't seem to GET that even though the MS remits, and we have times where we're almost back to *normal* for a while, if we TRY to do what we did before, working, driving, stressing, and all, we'll BRING on ANOTHER relapse, worse than before !!

now, some can keep on working, and kudos to them for it, but as we get older, we have less and less resources to FALL BACK on, and draw from, to achieve even a SHADOW of our former go-get-'em working selves.

if they *understood* that working, and commuting, and STRESS can sometimes precipitate flares, I suspect they wouldn't be so quick to keep us hanging... and hanging, and hanging...

I agree with you 100%, Kay. If those "decision makers" had to be one of the ones who's waiting and wondering how next months bills are going to be paid maybe then they'd get on the ball.

Tami - Is it on the disposal side? If so, take everything out from under the sink as it gets messy. Then put some plastic bags all under the sink. You can use newspaper but the water will be absorbed by the newspaper and leak through.

Now unscrew the pipes and let the junk drain out. You may have to unscrew the U shaped pipe at both joints to get it all cleaned out.

Once it is cleaned out, put it back together. Carefully take the plastic bags out from under the sink and do what you want with them. (I throw them away).

For us, pasta is notorious for doing this. I have since stopped putting any pasta in our disposal.

I didn't want it to come to that but I know I will be under the sink.

I have learned that potato peels can clog you up really good. I didn't think mashed potatoes would do the same thing...I'll let you know how it goes!!

Thanks so much!!

Potato's do that too. They get all gummy like just like pasta does. Maybe someone else will come along and give a better suggestion before you head under the sink. That would be good information to know as I hate it when that happens. My best friend's husband is a plumber and he is the one that taught me how to do this.

Let us know how it went. Good luck Tami.

Tam, hope you get the sink cleared up. I have unfortunately learned that anything with a lot of starch (potatoes and pasta) gunk up that thing pretty good.

Frank, is deb feeling better today? Did she like your gifts?

About the kitty, LOL. Sounds like my tiger trouble maker. She'll get in the strangest situations that make you go - "what in the world?"

TK, I know what you mean about the walks. When it's cool enough in the morning, I've begun to walk at a park like area near us. I was so happy when we had a break in the temps.

~~~~~~~
Did some stuff this morning, but don't think I can do as much as I did yesterday. Man oh man, sorry for the following vent, but this is driving me nuts!!!!!!!!
On the plus side, got another good night's sleep last night, so fatigue is the least of my worries right now. I'll take any I can get right now, LOL. But am drinking my cool drinks, sitting under the ceiling fan when I feel overheated (which just seems weird in A/C), and trying to take it easy. LOL, can you believe I'm being a good girl.
You're being a good girl because you learned the consequences of not being good. lol Been there many times myself and have now learned to pace myself better and to take my naps faithfully.
Of course, I didn't take a nap yesterday and was mud by 3:00. I did manage to get some errands done in the afternoon but DD16 had to drive as my cognitive abilities were coming and going. By the evening, I crashed on the couch a bit but woke up when DD18 came home at 9:30. Tried to talk to the girls and they ended up cracking up at me cause all my words came out wrong and mixed up. It was pretty funny.
I'm here! This morning was push DH out the door for work, jump in the shower, take both kids to dentist, drop off package at post office, come home for lunch, and map out errands for the afternoon. Three must- take- food- along- social events in three days and then school starts. Scrambling to pick cheap foods and get school needs taken care of.
Thanks for your continued prayers. I told DH to keep on the look out for a better job. He said why bother as his current job has the golden handcuffs on him. We can't afford a pay cut and after 12 years there it would be really hard to find comparable pay and benefits elsewhere.
Vonn- hope you get a good answer soon
Tam- hope the sink is open now
Those not feeling good- healing vibes
Everyone-
Back out to the car...
You guys might be surprised what is out there. If he hasn't been in the market for 12 years, how does he even know if he is being paid enough?? My DH went through this awhile back. We were shocked to find out that he was being underpaid at the company he was with for over 15 years! A little research might be enlightening.
