Awesome pics Cayo, with everything going on with me and my mom right now, I would like to just get away to a new a place. Just would need to know how handicapped accessible that place is.

um, not hardly at all...

Belize is a 3rd world country, and barely has paved roads (half a dozen in the entire country so far), let alone sidewalks, or ramps or grab bars or elevators, or lifts, or accessible anything else.

that's why I was SOOOOOOO thrilled when the Mennonite grocery store got a scooter a few weeks back, it totally made my day!

I built my house to be all W/C accessible, with a wide gradual ramped entrance, and grab bars (four of 'em) in the lavatory.

These posts put a big smile on my face today. I prefer flannel pajamas bottoms to hang out in during the winter, but they are too hot to wear to bed. I am pretty much an old t shirt person then.

I am at the computer in my office at school and as usual putting off doing much work. I never use to be a procastinator.

Going to the optometrist today to see if he can figure out what is going on with my eyes. I'll probably end up with a referral to an opthomalogist. I am hoping that I can still get my tysabri infusion on Wednesday.

I have a retirement dinner to atend tonight, and the weather is supposed to turn nasty. They are forecasting freezing rain, sleet, and then 3 to 8 inches of snow. I want to go back to Austin!!!

OK -- I need to do some writing. Have a good day everyone!:D

Hey all you bra talking women! I had a minor accident yesterday and everyone is OK. My fault, I backed into a college student. Yay for me! Her car was a dented up mess to begin with and now she's saying I damaged her car in places my car couldn't have touched. I spoke with State Farm and told them to investigate the cars because I think someone is trying to get a free repair for prior dents. The poor thing was even driving on a ticket.

I couldn't have been going more than 2 MPH since I was backing out. She was on my tail for sure but I was at fault. I just don't think my insurance company should pay for something I didn't do. She said I pushed in her grill, Ok, maybe. Then she said I dented her hood after only the cop pointed out a dent. Even the cop said she can't see how I hit her hood since my bumper would had to jump up to do it...lol Oh well, State farm will handle it. I have absolutely no damage to see or speak of. Hmmmm...you'd think I would if I dented her hood in huh?

Other than that, today I plan to relax a little. I had a panic attack last night out of nowhere. I popped a zanax and I am feeling better today. Wouldn't you know both of my kids were there when this happened? All that nagging about how to drive went right out the window! They laughed about it.

We did get to see all the memorials set up for the shooting victims and students affected by the shooting. It was quite surreal to see. Jim rode up to the actual doors of the lecture hall and said it was a little creepy to see where it happened. I know they pan to tear down the building but many of us think they should leave it up and let the students get back to normal. The governor gave 40 million to help take it down and rebuild. That is a lot of tax money, not to mention he's now indited for something else now. (rolling eyes)

Barb, I sure hope we don't get that much snow! YUCK. Where are you in Illinois? North, west, south east?

Sandy, Sorry to hear about the minor fender bender. Glad everything's ok.

I wouldn't worry too much about your insurance claim. Speaking from experience, the adjusters in the big companies are usually pretty good at recreating what happened. LOL, they don't want to pay out anymore than you do.

Can you tell I'm a little cyncial since getting into the insurance biz? :D

Hi Sandy, Sorry to hear about the accident. Those darn college students:p Do you think seeing the memorials brought about your anxiety attack? I'm not sure I could handle it. I don't know what I think about the building being torn down. It does seem like a waste of tax dollars, but on the other hand I do not know if I could handle teaching in it or having my office there.

I live in east cental Illinois -- Charleston. It is about 45 miles south of Champaign. Now they are saying we may get a 1/2 inch of ice and then about 4 inches of snow on top if it. I would rather just have the snow. I am also supposed to get my hair highlighted tomorrow. I do not want to cancel that; the grey is beginning to show:eek:

My visit to the opthometrist went well; no sign of damage to the optic nerves. I do have a few tears in one eye that is causing floaters. Doctor was not sure what is causing the pain -- maybe a continuing sinus infection.

Now I am off to a retirement dinner. Hope the freezing rain holds off until I get home.

Thanks! It's nice to hear from someone who is in the biz. I seriously doubt they will let her get away with claiming more than necessary. I haven't heard from the investigator yet but I am sure I will.
