Barb - I could bore you to death with jibberish if you want. LOL. Staying home and reading a book with you kind of weather sounds great. That's a perfect way to rest and relax. Hope you start feeling better soon.

Fin - The same goes for you. I hope you start sleeping better at night.

Renee - Hey, that's our weather too! I've even had to run the a/c already and they are predicting a very hot summer. I wish I could head north for the summer. Good luck tomorrow.

Sandy - Give me another month and I'll be bit*hing about the weather here. If it goes as predicted will be hitting 115, blazing heat, no shade (or very little). Took a walk with DD17 yesterday. I wanted to go at least 1/2 mile. It was 86 out. I made it 1/8 of a mile and my legs "froze" up and we came home. Yup, can't wait for summer.

Vonn - Good luck tomorrow. I hope all goes well for you.

Nothing new here. Kind of boring. Well, I have been painting so I guess that's something.

Good morning all. Have my usual cup of coffee and trying to wake up.

Got a dentist appointment this morning. Yuck. Hate going, but need to get those teeth cleaned.

~~~~~
Vonn, Hope the voc rehab appointment goes well today.
Renee, Wow, you are one busy lady. The hearing coming up and all that work for standardized testing. Still keeping fingers crossed that everything goes well ya.
TK, I'm trying to sleep better, but still having issues. Oh well, hoping things improve soon.
Sandy, I hear you. It's cold here still in the mornings. Spring's taking it's time it seems. Or I'm just suffering from severe cabin fever, lol
Fin - The past few days I have been a spastic mess. Last night I took a nice Epsom salt bath before bed. I finally slept well. The muscles were nice and relaxed for once. I swear by these baths. They really, really help me. Naturally, don't take it while you are home alone. I take them while dds are here just in case I get the water too hot and have trouble.
From the Epsom Salt Council . org:
Studies show these benefits from the major components of Epsom Salt may:
Magnesium:
* Ease stress and improves sleep and concentration
* Help muscles and nerves function properly
* Regulate activity of 325+ enzymes
* Help prevent artery hardening and blood clots
* Make insulin more effective
* Reduce inflammation to relieve pain and muscle cramps
* Improve oxygen use
Sulfates:
* Flush toxins
* Improve absorption of nutrients
* Help form joint proteins, brain tissue and mucin proteins
* Help prevent or ease migraine headaches
why'd'ja haveta go and DO that, TK ??
now I want a bath, but... haven't got the tub, nor the water, nor the Epsom Salts, lol.
my back is all achy, and a nice long warm soak sounds like JUST the ticket!
why do we always seem to want things that are out of reach?
HMMM never knew that about epsom salts...always thought it was kind of like an old wives tale thing!
Well I was pooped yesterday and did nothing all evening except lay around, I gave Dayton a day off of school today since he has worked so hard to prepare for his testing the past two weeks. It is important he do well though because if he doesn't score well enough I will be put on probation for a year with rigorous observation from the school district....thats why all of us home school mommies are fanatical about our testing! I skimmed over the test last night and it looks like he pretty much knows most of the material...I'll admit there were certain things even I didn't know! he said can I see the booklet? NO NO NO LOL I said yeah if you want to start testing NOW...no sneak peeks....his reply ummmm I'll wait until Monday!
Olivia that poor child is still a snot factory she goes to the doc on Thursday next week.
Well I guess I better go so I can get ready to go see my attorney! Kayo get everything crossed!
"snot factory"
hope the test goes well.
my sister homeschooled her son for 9 years, he's in college now, doing well.
I couldn't do that... not because I'm not smart enough, or patient enough, or organized enough, but just because I was always too darn tired!
so, I did the next-best thing, and put my kids in a tiny private school run by us parents.
see, I was a single mom, worked fulltime, and was a cub scout leader, and a daily school volunteer.
Renee - I was the same way as you - wives tale - until I tried it. Now I'm hooked. I really, really want to stay off the medicine bandwagon and only take disease modifying drugs (C). I do take 2 other meds for pain (Celexa and Neurontin) and I am being stubborn about starting the baclofen. The Epsom salt baths help me accomplish that.
Good luck today.
Thanks for the advice about the epsom salts. Forgot about that, LOL. We have a box on hand for when hubby is sore.
I do have some good news! I am a no cavity kid, yippee!
BTW - An added benefit of the baths - when I do them regularly I lose weight. OK, it's probably just retention but still, I drop a few pounds.
Fin - Good girl! I love it when they say, "No cavities."
