lol, I know how you feel!

I send mi esposo to the store, and he comes back with *everything* that's NOT on the list... especially if he finds something chocolate !!

the rain finally stopped, and the sun popped out...

built a little hutch for Gwynneth (the goose on a nest) so she doesn't get soaked while she lays eggs.

something raided her nest, and smashed and gobbled the two eggs there, but LUCKILY we had snitched two and reserved them for the incubator, so it's not a total loss... and Gwen laid another this morning... I sooooo can't wait to meet the little goslings!

our neighbor grows Chinese cabbage, and today he brought over a big bag of the outer cabbage leaves for our bunnies and guinea pigs.

I was spreading the leaves out on a big screen, (to keep them from rotting), and suddenly, I was doing a HOT JIGGETY JIG!

"OUCH!" (slap) "HELP!" (jump) "OUCH!" (stomp)

mi esposo looks over from the duck yard, and says: "Honey, step OFF that red ant nest!"

Kayo-LOL is it a bad thing when you have so much burning from MS you don't realize you are standing in a bed of fire ants??

Aly- I say skip the super bowl party,it's just juiced up men in tights anyway! Their booties do look juicy enough to take a bite out of though!

Sarah- yoga...doesn't that require at least minimal flexibility? LOL I am out!

Barb- think I am going to start on the Book of the Dead this weekend by Patricia Cornwall, there's some heavy reading for ya!

Vonnie- I got a package today, packed with goodies from Vonn- now i get what the mice are...too cute gonna have to make those sometime! I also got a little oil lamp,a book, shower gel,lip balm, a pillowcase and doilie, and other goodies! Thanks GF!! The mailman is breathing a sigh of relief that I possibly will stop stalking him.....little does he know!

lol, it's more like, there's only a few skin patches left where I can FEEL, so the ants got as high as the backside of my KNEES before I realized what I was standing in...

I've gotten smart, and wear heavy socks, pulled up OVER my pants legs, so things can't get in... but there was a HOLE in my sock, and I was wearing Birkies... so, the invasion of the body-Kay proceeded apace!

ouch, ouch, ouch!

Aly - YEAH! A free weekend. That is so sweet of your MIL. Enjoy!

Renee - Oh dear. I hope Olivia doesn't get it either. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Yes, sending hubby to the store can cause and issue. On my bad mobility days I send DDs. It's the same as you sending hubby. I end up with a little of the good stuff but tons of snacks and they overspent. YIKES! Hope you all start feeling better over the weekend.

Kay - OUCH! I don't like those red ants. They hurt when they bite and it swells. Those boots would have come in handy today, huh? Please post pictures of the little goslings.

Yes, Renee, kitty goes home tonight. I'm waiting until after 6:00 to bring her back. I hate driving in rush hour traffic especially when I don't have to. DBF will be home by then so the garage door will be open. We're working on the front door so it's taped up and I wouldn't be able to get in so I have to wait until he gets home.

Oh, guess what? The carpet people came to install the carpet. He untaped the front door and left the screen door unlocked. So, DBF comes home from work and they are just finishing up. They asked how he liked it and he said they did a good job but it's the WRONG COLOR. LOL. The guy showed him the paper work and DBF said that's my street name not the color. LOL. Since it is a lighter tan than what he bought he told them just to leave and to finish it up. Can you believe that? We laughed about it. Good thing DBF has a sense of humor. Of course if it was pink or purple that might be a different story.

How are your little ones doing Renee? I hope Olivia does NOT get this.

1 week ago my children had the stomach flu and this week a horrible
time with a severe cold/virus. yuck. On Wednesday my
4 year old had a coughing jag in the grocery store and
ended up throwing up at the store. We had to leave a full(and I mean
chock full) cart and go home. Poor kid. We also had shopped for more
than 2 hours. For the last few days I keep thinking "Where did
I put those oranges?? Oh yeah, I put them in a basket but didnt take
them home." Its driving me nuts.

I hope you and the kids feel better soon. I think I need to open the
windows and air the place out. too much sickness.

well, it might take another week for Gwyn to finish laying, and then, a MONTH after that until hatch day...

the biggest part of farming is the *waiting*

and man, sorry about the carpet! so, you're just gonna leave it that way?

Update, Hubby made it home and boy were we all so glad to see him ! This living three hours away from each other is getting old. Now everybody say a little prayer this house sells and we can all be together. Spent the day hanging out and spending quality time.Later in the day took me to the mall and bought some new kumpy ,(comfy in Tay talk)clothes. I did have a huge episode of out of control tremors but came home untill they settled back down. Sure is good to have my fella here......

oh, man, I'm with ya on THAT one!

I moved here first, and it took mi esposo over a YEAR to finish up business in the US, and tie up all the loose ends...

luckily, (at least) we were still in the same TIME zone, even though thousands of miles apart, so we could still chat on IM every evening for an hour, or two, or three...

so, when I flew up to the US, to get him and our cat (whom I ALSO missed terribly!) it was like honeymoon city!

Good Morning all. Sitting here with my usual coffee in hand.

sorry didn't check in yesterday, but by the time I got home was too tired to do anything but watch a DVD before crashing.

Had a follow up brain and neck MRI. Well, had four scans that needed repeated. 2 due to coughing, one due to a neck twitch, and the last one due to the MRI machine "blue screening" in the middle of the scan. LOL, me and the machine did not get along yesterday.

Due to the extra time, had to run to work straight from there. Work wasn't too bad, but it was a typical friday of lots of people wanting to pay bills.

Tonight we're going to a friend's house. Great people who really want to understand my MS. You can tell that some of the questions they ask are from a genuine concern and a desire to know more.

Have a great day everyone.

oh, man, Finny, that's a bummer!

last MRI for me, lived in a rural area (low demand, few appointments), so when things glitched, they just kept going!

that meant I was encapsulated for over three HOURS (full brain & spine w/gadolinium), so I know how ya feel!

***

and, as usual, I *completely* forgot to do MY update, in my previous post!

Gwyn is laying another egg right now, and seems to like the little hutch we built her.

one of my guinea pigs passed away yesterday (Patsy, while having a miscarriage) and that made me cry... will I ever get used to farming and the cycle of life? I dunno...

we rose at 4:30 this morning, to hitch a ride to San Ignacio with our neighbor who sells his cabbage at the vegetable market.

http://www.goworldtravel.com/ex/aspx...xe/article.htm

we carried off a week's work of produce (our truck's STILL waiting for tranny parts!) and SCORE !! a HUGE bag of lettuce leaves for my animals.

then, the bus ride back home (lol, the buses here are OLD (50s and 60s) school buses from the US... and as I ride, sometimes I wonder if I ever rode this particular bus as a child... that's kinda weird...

then, a half-mile trudge uphill on foot, to get our goodies home, feed all the animals, spend an hour unwinding at the computer, and guess what?

it's only 9:30 am, and I'm ready for my NAPPY-TIME already!
