ahhhhhhh... me so TIRED !!

we finished building a shelter for our new goat buck.

betcha it takes ol' Dunno-His-Name-Yet about a WEEK to myrtlize it!

I was about splittin' a GUT, lmao-ing so hard I nearly p**d, watching my husband Mr. Potty-Mouth trying to drag the extremely recalcitrant goat into the enclosure... one hand firmly clutching the rope, and the other simultaneously tugging and fending off the HORNS !!

toot toot - beep beep!

cheap entertainment on the CAYO E-I-E-I-O Farm.

so, I amble over, with a margarine tub of whole dried corn, and a few crispy cabbage leaves, and much to hubby's blush-ment, the lil demon happily followed me into the pen, and greedily gobbled the treats.

the moral of the story: sometimes women's wiles work better than brute force.

you may ask yourselves, "Why on earth is Kay UP at two in the morning?"

well, I'll tell ya... Army Ants decided to swarm towards our house tonight.

DH valiantly headed them off with lines of woodchips, doused in kerosene, and set ablaze.

here's the intrepid warrior, manning the barricades:

the ploy worked to keep them out of our house, but unfortunately, the direction the ants veered off too was the chicken coop.

so, we had to roust all the chickens, and set 'em free.

they're now sleeping under our cabana.

sheesh, life in the jungle, it's a neverending adventure!

Kay, Glad DH was vigilant last night. Sorry they veered off towards the coops, but glad the army ants avoided your house.

Sandy, wishing Jim luck with the appointment today

Renee, know what you mean about small tubs. ick. Hope when they send you to SC you can find a place that has a decent sized tub.

TK, sounds like you're having a great time painting.

Frank, congrats on the one getting the 1000th post

Sarah, Being in charge can be stressful, but if it's an overall quieter place to work - it may be worth it. Praying for your job opportunity.

~~~~
Morning all. Weird weather once again. High was 40 yesterday, and today will be the 60s. But it's supposed to rain.
Hubby and I compromised a bit yesterday. Didn't do as much as we had planned since I wasn't doing as well, but we did have a great time doing what I was able to do.
Have a test tomorrow morning. Ick, I hate feeling like a lab rat sometimes - lol.
Hope everyone has a great day today.
Hey all you guys and gals. I am so exhausted I could literally fall over!! And I actually slept last night after combining a muscle relaxer and my Ambien! I think it is more mental exhaustion than anything....trial tomorrow and then the standardized tests this week.
But here is a plus...as some of you know my son had severe problems at birth and has learning disabilities and ADD/ADHD and an autism like disorder, however he aside from being small and the LD thing is a pretty normal kid, I homeschool him on a 7th grade level in everything except math and English...there I have him on a 5th grade level.
Well the standardized tests are on a 7th grade level in every subject to see where he compares right? I feel like I have totally accomplished something with this homeschooling! I do make one adjustment to the standardized tests...I read along with him out loud (this is allowed) So far today he has answered over 150 questions,in vocabulary,comprehension,spelling,and study skills...again on a 7th grade level. AND>>>> He knew almost all of them!!!! I think out of 150 he may have missed less than 10 questions. That is awesome!!! Patting myself and him on the back!
However it has left me TIRED!!! Now off to cook dinner......
