I kid you not, beautiful. We were on a two week Meet and Greet sort of TDY (Temporary DutY) in Bucharest. We brought some C-130's over and actually gave thier goverment one. Former Eastern Bloc countries, mid 90's fall of Communism, let's be friends sort of thing. They were handing out sandwiches to us with the MREs. About an hour later one of the officers (who's English was spot on) told us it was horse meat.

I guess if you have enough spices to throw in, any meat can be bolonga.

Most of the food I don't like, I have never tried. If I cannot get past the way it looks or smells, I know I will not like the taste.

Never tried:

Tomatoes
Mushrooms
Cucumbers
Raw onion
Pickled eggs
Seafood, any of it
Horseradish
Deer meat
Cooked carrots
Eggs (over easy, up, poached...)
Buttermilk
Tomato juice
Tomato soup

You've never tried tomatoes Carolina? Oh my goodness! You are in for a real treat when you come to visit me. There's nothing like fresh tomatoes straight out of the garden.

Here am I redecorating my spare bedroom for you, and you don't eat tomatoes?

We'll fix that, I'm sure

The absolute best tomato I ever ate in my whole life was the Beefsteak tomato that my godson grew in his backyard.

His mother sliced it, put it on a plate, drizzled some extra virgin olive oil on it, a dash of fresh lemon juice, some fresh garlic, a dash of salt and pepper to taste.

I thought I died and went to heaven.

I exclaimed. What is this?? This is the best tomato I have ever tasted (and believe me, I KNOW TOMATOES. I love tomatoes.

Never had the chance to repeat that experience.

But oh, that tomato!!!

It's true! Packaged tomatoes don't even taste like tomatoes! I never could figure that one out. And what's with "grape" flavor? Who ever had a grape that tasted anything like Bubble Yum grape?

LOL! a couple of these reminded me of some of the things I won't eat.

Tomatoes - I only like it if it's been spiced up like for sauce and ketchup. Will not eat raw tomatoes or plain tomato soup

Beets - don't like these either

Cranberry sauce - won't eat this at Thanksgiving.

Sweet potatoes/yams - ick, ick, ick
