Oh Frank! I just want to reach in and hold that precious little one!!! How beautiful she is.

Yes, little girls are chatty from the time they are born. It only gets worse. Little boys, like noise. LOL

Ok, this is wrong, totally wrong but...

Weave, as they innocently serve him the cake, you can give him an evil grin (picture Jack Nicholson in "The Shining") :icon_twisted: lol, it might worry him a little bit and maybe he'll get his stuff out of your room.

Just kidding. I think it's really good you're putting on a strong front for the kids. They're so vulnerable in these situations. :hug:

Wiz, you're funny. As I read that I thought - "Oh, yeah. Make a 'special' cake for dad with laxatives and a good cake for everyone else." LOL

Ok, that was my evil thought for the day. I'm done.

Weave - I agree with Wiz on putting on the front for the kids. It is so hard to do and I admire you for doing it.:hug:

My Update

Hi Everybody,

It's a beautiful day again in N. Illinois. :) Yesterday I got some more work outside since the yard was drying out and it was nice in the 70's. I can't wait to plant bulbs. I have some on order with Breck's; they should arrive the first part of October.

I'm having some fatigue issues again, and I'm wondering if it could be diet related. I'd been having cheese every day for snacks and I really shouldn't. When I eat the bad stuff it makes my symptoms ramp up. Also, my urinary problems were on again, so I cut out the cheese as of Tuesday night. Today I actually feel better. I had allergy testing once and it showed a slight dairy allergy. I guess it makes sense that if the food causes inflammation in one area it can also inflame the MS symptoms. The same thing happens if I have a lot of sugar.

The cheese was my nighttime snack. I replaced it with Snyder's big pretzels and mustard. YUM! :p

I started taking Provigil again, but only every other day. If I take it every day it doesn't work as well. At least I can get more things done on the days I do take it. If I don't sleep enough though, it turns me into a zombie. Like I'm awake and moving but not too productive anyway.

I hope you'll all have a beautiful day, my dear friends from all around the world. :grouphug:

BTW, Frank, those babies are adorable, I'm so jealous, lol.

weegot5kiz 09-18-2008 11:57 AM

it slithered under the cistern when I approached, so I only saw the last few feet... (*double gulp!*)

since THAT woke me up for sure, I decided to go ahead and start the coffee, and prep the animal food...

chop 3 lg. heads of cabbage coarsely
chop 1 sm. head of cabbage very fine, for the duckling nursery
shred 2 heads of lettuce for the duckies
slice a sm. cantaloupe for the guinea pigs
string and stick a bun of celery for the wabbits and guineas
remove outer leaves from a dozen cabbages, for bunnies
chop 8 lg. carrots into sticks, for bunnies and guineas
measure out 16 cups of whole corn for free-ranger's area

put all into (recycled) pails and bags, line up on kitchen table

don long pants, heavy socks, long-sleeved shirt (for bug protection), and scarf made into headband (for catching those menopausal forehead drips)

gather all bags and pails onto arms (only wanna make ONE loop of territory) balance at doorway juggling bags, and slide feet into sandals.

check on six duck-moms in nests, and four broody chickens.
rake sand area (20 x 30) of leaves and mess.
walk to goat shed, pass out hay to goats, check on baby kids.

head over to palapa, give handful of hay to each bunny and guinea cage.
check on pregnant guinea pigs.
refill water bottles and pellet cups.

pass out leafy greens, melon, and veggie sticks.

move duck who has eggs hatching (carefully) into nursery, ooooh, there's SEVEN babies so far !!!

count fuzzy ducklings in other nursery (36), and pet mamas...

pass out celery, cabbage, corn, lettuce, callalou, chaya, and cocoyams to swine, ducks, chickens.

walk to pond, and disburse corn and cabbage for geese and ducks.

wake hubby to milk goats, and tie up draped bug-nets over bed.

return to desk to SIT, sip coffee, and read the morning news.

:D:cool::D

it's only 6:30 am, and I'm DONE for this morning...

the whole day's ahead of me, so why am I ready for a NAP ???

:eek::D:eek:

LOL, Kay.

And now, I know for sure, I will never move to Belize! :eek: Snakes give me the heebie jeebies! And I thought I had it tough getting up to feed Rocky when he's all stressed out on days I sleep late. He gives me a bath on my ears and face, but he gets really aggressive with his teeth and claws washing if I'm too slow getting downstairs to his dish. lol

Jim is feeling good, still tight in the legs but feeling good. He started choking this morning while I was in the other room. I waited to see if he was alright and finally he called out "I am fine, I just got a bad hit." :p I guess you had to be there but he knew I'd come running checking temps and bp's if he didn't say he was ok.

I hear you on the painting Sandy. I'm really, really slow, :rolleyes: but I still like to do it. I'm finishing up in our yard and now thinking about new carpet and linoleum. Ours is 18 years old and wasn't the best stuff when we got it anyway. I figure prices might be good now with this economy mess we're in? :rolleyes:

Go Bush-ster!!! Git 'er fixed! lol

I was also going to say heating pad but I read this too late of course. I'm glad Jim is feeling better. :grouphug:

FinLady 09-18-2008 12:56 PM

Kay, hope you got some rest.

Frank, Thanks for sharing the pics. They are adorable.

Wiz and Trish, LOL! I definitely wouldn't want to be on your bad sides. :D

~~~~~~
I've done maybe three things today so far, but it's alright. :) At least I've had the windows open for the past few days and have been getting some fresh air. The only reason I'm not looking forward to winter is having to shut up the house again.
Oh my goodness! You so got me on this one. I thought, "what is Brewer fever? Never heard of it." Then I thought maybe you meant a hangover as in Brewery fever? LMAO.
During spring training, the Brewers would practice in Chandler which is a town right outside of Phoenix. I would pass them everyday!!! It was the highlight of my day to see their cute little butts as they practiced. I am surprised I never wrecked.:eek: :D
Tara - Hope you are feeling better. Yeah, when I miss a day or 2 I can't catch up - way to much to read and remember. So, just jump in and post when you can. :hug:
Frank - She is so gosh darn precious!!! I am so glad that I am over having kids or DBF and I would be meeting for lunch EVERYDAY and it would all be because of that beautiful baby girl! LOL
No, grandkids are a long way off. (I hope:()
weegot5kiz 09-18-2008 04:29 PM
Hi all,
I hope everyone is doing ok. I just jumped in to tell you that I posted on the MS site about my conversation with my former Cardiologist and Neurologist yesterday.
I'm so tired today and probably stressed too. I'm going to take a late nap.
Hugs to all.:grouphug::grouphug:
Wow, you all have had a busy day here. I think I read most of the posts.
Frank, the baby is really cute!!!
My mom still does not have power. She is going crazy.
Hope you all have a good evening! Is it Friday afternoon yet?
Vonn07 09-18-2008 05:55 PM
ya ya ya ... the cubs won ... but it took them 12 innings to do it! LOL
SandyC 09-18-2008 06:03 PM
It's now how you get there Vonn, it's that you performed well. lol
Vonn07 09-18-2008 06:32 PM
I'm in LOVE with the Brewers ... Paul Moliter is back on the team ... as manager ... aaaaahhhhh!!!
Tricia - I was 18 (high school) and my coach said to me if I wanted to work for the Brewers as a statistician, that he'd get me in ... I was dumb (that was 1977) ... I LOVE BASEBALL ... before the computers I was able to calc all the RBI, RBI, scores all by hand!
SandyC 09-18-2008 06:40 PM
Vonn, do you Remember Billy Champion who played for the Brewers? He is Jim's cousin. AND Wes Helms (no longer playing for the Brewers) is his cousin through marriage.
Vonn07 09-18-2008 08:07 PM
Billy CHAMPION sounds familiar ..
UPDATE:
been finishing projects ... and enjoying :Dancing-Chilli: enjoying the cool weather ...
I'm not listening, I'm not listening. . .
Blues Girl 09-18-2008 08:34 PM
Frank, that baby is just precious! I really liked your poem, too!:)
Sandy, I'm glad the heating pad helped Jim's legs. As soon as I start feeling better, I'm definitely going to call you. I've missed talking to you!:hug:
Kelly, thanks for the "hugs bouquet"! It made me smile!:)
Fin, thanks for the get well wishes! I hope you feel better soon too!:hug:
Barb, I'm praying that your mom gets power back soon. :hug: We were without power for two weeks during the ice storm of January '07. I was on the brink of losing it.
Kay, I don't know how you do what you do! I was worn out just reading about your morning...lol
Sarah, Sorry you're feeling bad. Take care and feel better soon!:hug:
I'm going to check on some other threads and then head off to bed pretty soon!
Hugs to everyone!:grouphug:
weegot5kiz 09-18-2008 09:11 PM
thank you Tara, feeling better?
Trish lol i like that one
hey vonn I had not heard moliter was back i knew they fired the coach a few nights ago while in contention for a wild card:Bang-Head:, moliter was a great player
I hope every one had a wonderful day, all is quiet on the western front, tiny tots are nestled in their beds
Kitty 09-19-2008 05:55 AM
Well, it appears we all slept last night....nobody was on this thread at least!!
I slept better than I have been. Matt went to the Braves game last night and came in about 11:30 PM but other than that I wasn't woken up. I wish I could work all day, come home and take a shower then leave again about 5 PM to stay out until 11:30 PM!! You'd be scraping me off the floor if I did that! :o
I have my eye doctor appointment this morning. The pancake test went well.....had the nicest technician doing it and we sat and talked about people we jointly knew for about twenty minutes afterwards!!
I got a new chair for the computer desk. The one I was using didn't support my back very well and I was getting terrible pain in my back and neck. The new one is so comfortable...and the cats are having a ball in the box! Tigger evidentally thinks no one can see him even though the top is open....:rolleyes: He's such a goober!
Tara, I hope you're feeling better!
Frank, I hope those babies wore you out enough so that you slept better last night!
Barb, your Mom is a stronger person than I am....I'd be in a hotel after 1 day of no power!! :o I know...I'm a wimp...:(.
Tricia, love the lalala kitty!!
Sarah, I wish you could take some time off. Life's just way too hectic, isn't it?
Kay, I'm still recovering from reading you post of all that you do before 6:30 AM!! You need a WonderWoman outfit! Or at least some boots to wear in that snake infested jungle. You wore sandals!!?? You're braver than I am!
Fin, I hope you're feeling better today. It's Friday...as if that means anything anymore!! Well, it does to Barb!! :)
Everyone have a great day!!
JustWeave 09-19-2008 07:14 AM
Can't stay, DH told me last night he took today off. That messed up my plans royal! My butt is already in hot water and I get to spend the weekend with him and the kids and the dog in a teeny tiny cottage. We have never taken the dog with us like this and I don't expect that to go well at all. God give me strength.
I'm going to have DD make up a batch of muffins from a mix to take for his b-day. It is a really good quality mix that is taking up space in my pantry.
Gotta run.
FinLady 09-19-2008 07:31 AM
Morning Moring
Another beautiful day, but it looks like the temps are going to hit 80 today. Hoping and praying that those still out of power will be ok.
Coffee in hand and trying to wake up.:Yawn: Still a little tired, but hoping I can get some stuff done today.
Hope everyone has a good day today. :grouphug:
~~~~~~~

Weave, cool idea about the muffins. Hope things go well this weekend despite everything. :hug::hug:

Kelly, LOL. My kitties are the same way. When we pulled the chair for my art desk out of it's box - hubby's first comment was "oh look, a kitty box". They loved it. :)

Vonn07 09-19-2008 07:54 AM

morning ....

well Frank ... Robin Yount is back as bench coach .. and I *heard* that Paul is coming back as his assistant ...

not doing too good today - but will pull thru it ... be good!

tkrik 09-19-2008 08:31 AM

Good morning all! I hope you are having a good morning!

Vonn - I hope you start feeling better as the day goes on.:hug:

Weave - I will be thinking of you and praying for you over the weekend. I hope all goes smoothly with the birthday trip.

Frank - How are those precious little ones?

Renee- Where are you? I hope you are doing well.

Blues - I hope you are starting to feel better as well.

Fin - Maybe it won't go up to 80 today and it will turn out to be a beautiful day.;)

Kelly - Why do cats do that? It cracks me up when Tux or DBF's cat does things like that. They think you can't see them getting ready to pounce on you but you can. LOL.

I am glad you got a good nights rest. Good luck at the eye doctor today.

Sandy - That's pretty cool. Do you get discounted tickets to the games? How's Jim doing? Is he feeling better?

Anyone else I missed - I hope you are doing well.

~~~
Not much going on here. DD18 finally took her last GED test and she passed. Yahooooo! I think I was more excited than she was.:rolleyes:
I am having a time with that girl. She lost one of her jobs as the restaurant closed and got fired from the other one for being late 3 times in a row. Now she says she doesn't want to find a job until after October!:eek: Her boyfriend's family is going to San Diego and she wants to go with them. Not sure where she is getting the funding for that; not from me. (She spent all the money she saved from working.:eek:)
Yesterday, I told her she has 1 month to find a job or she needs to move. She is too expensive for me and I am not helping her any by allowing her to be dependent on me and that I would only be enabling her with dependent behavior. She needs to grow up and be responsible.
Additionally, she has a list of things to do to prepare for the spring semester of school. She changed directions and is now thinking of going to The Art Institute or another local art college and getting her degree in either fashion design or interior design. Calling and scheduling appointments to meet with the schools is on her list. She is dragging her feet on this. UGH!!!!
OK, on to happier things . . . LOL
