Yep, 11 pounds is correct. I know it seems like alot but I have gone off of Zoloft, Neurontin and Baclofen and started the LDN.

I'm eating....I don't expect to have this kind of a loss every week. The first week is always more. Water weight and all. I just don't have much of an appetite so I'll eat one of my Lean Cuisine things and I'll be full. Not snacking between meals (I'll save $$!!!) I'm drinking alot of water, too. I needed to.....when I was on all those meds I didn't drink nearly enough water.

Plus, I am now walking on my treadmill. Nothing too much...usually 10-15 minutes at a time 2 or 3 times a day at no more than 2.5 speed. It's just a slow stroll but I figure it gets my blood circulating and it's better than just sitting...Lord knows I do enough of that here at the computer!!

Hey all, Jim says he feels better today. I was doing some reading and found that having ecoli in the urine is not uncommon with a urostomy since a piece of intestines are attached to the bladder. I always knew this but never saw it in print. I also learned that taking a solution of vineger and water and flushing the stoma twice a day at first and then with each pouch change keeps bacteria and mucus from forming in the stoma area.

OK, TMI.

How is everyone today? I cannot tell you how much we appreciate all your support and well wishes. :grouphug:

The weather is awesome here. The rain kept the pollen and weed levels at bay so Jim's sinuses felt good yesterday. Not sure about today, haven't opened up the doors yet. lol

I know we just got so much happening here, at the moment, something i have not shared on here with our one high functioning autistic kid, problems, he is 12 yrs old and in a 22 yr old mans body and he has decided to move in with some girl he has talked to on line, and has not even dated her or met yet:Bang-Head: wont listen to social worker doc or shrink too, punched his older bro who tried to just talk to him about it, took a swing at me, big time bozo no no, we all have tried to talk sense into him quit his job too. its no use and we don't have guardian ship we thought he would be ok and even if we did and tried to use it he would just split in middle of the night and not see him again maybe? damned if you and if you don't...

worse thing is, what if this could work he is autistic she knows this we even have talked to her, she seems like a nice girl, but it scares me to no end and deb is going nuts, what if this is his one chance at a happy relationship with someone who accepts him for who he is, and does not shy away at what problems he may have, even the social worker said there is naught we can do to stop him, like I said we are at wits end here

now I sit here rereading what I typed wondering if I should keep this to myself but I figure I owe you at the very least an explanation as to what the heck is going on, you have been a wonderful friend to Deb and I, I could talk with you and Jim on phone for hours lol, and hope you dont have tmobile this would be to debs utter delight lol, she has enjoyed talking with you

hey ... one post away .. and we have to start a new daily insight thread!

sorry, Frank ... this has to be very frustrating - on top of your medical issues kicking in everywhere ...

keep an open heart - if it doesn't work out, he may be knocking back on the door ...

thanks for sharing .... sometimes just getting it off of your chest will release some new options ...

stay calm (I know it's hard) ...

weegot5kiz 09-09-2008 01:25 PM

we get to go to a thousand post Vonn they changed it to 1000, yeah we are keeping a positive heart and much faith.... and already informed him if it doesnt work, this does not mean he is not a failure, he had the courage to try and that says a lot, and our door is always open
