Trish, 130 down to 100.

:o

Imagine, I used to run an entire factory, and office, do payroll, AR/AP, sales, purchasing, and international shipping, plus manage 3 kids, (private school carpool, TaeKwon Do, dancing, swimming, cross country, choir, school plays, etc.) all as a single mom.

oh, and politically active, like... helped my pal get elected to the local water board, and worked to halt a dam that would've wrecked the LAST free-flowing river in California (the Clavey)

and dealt with a special needs child, and took in three stray kids, plus 2 dogs... busy busy busy! and I managed it all very efficiently...

now, I can barely peel my panties down in time to plop my heinie on the pottie...

:D

Good Morning! I would say "It's Friday!!" but now that I'm home everyday Friday is the same as any other day to me!!

I don't have too much planned today or this weekend. Kevin's girlfriend is coming over tonight and will spend the night here http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/k...ilies/spaz.gif. She's a sweet girl...just loud and spazzy. They're going to the county fair tomorrow and (I hope) she will go home tomorrow night!! :o When she stays over she takes Kevin's bed and Kevin sleeps on the couch (she says the couch makes her back hurt...). My solution to that is to sleep at home and then get up early and come down to our house  (we live about 50 miles apart). I know....quit being a grouch about it and just understand that they want to spend time together. I know...I know... Matt is working the fair in police capacity for the next several days. Which means he'll work all day and then go work there until at least midnight. He says it's fun, though, and he gets to see alot of his fireman friends.

Kay & Tricia - I have no idea what my IQ is...and to be honest I'm afraid to find out!!

Frank - that's gotta be some powerful bubble gum!

Fin - how was the chili? If it will ever cool off here I'll make some, too. To me, it's just a cool weather dish so I usually wait until at least December to make it!!

Sox - I hope school goes well for your son today. Before too long he'll be looking forward to going and the days of crying will be a distant memory. In the meantime it's hard...I know.

Renee - So how'd the first week of work go? Give the Spanx a break this weekend!! :p

Holly - good to see you...I missed seeing your name!! How's grandma doing?

Vonn - you hangin' in there? You're an inspiration to us, ya know? I admire your persistence and resolve to do what you want and need to do in order to help others. It's gonna work out...just keep the faith.

Sandy - what'd the vet say about your "condition" yesterday?! :p Now, whenever I look at my coffee maker I'll think of yesterday's fiasco!! :p :D I wonder how Joe's first night went??

I hope I haven't left anyone out. Ya'll have a good day! For those who are working I know at least you're glad it's Friday! :)

Not much news here. If tomorrow's yard sale gets rained out Plan B might get DH out of my hair for the rest of the day. I bartered for some tutoring and the pay up call came last night. Today is grocery fetching day. Ugh. Better get moving. Assume no news over the weekend means things are stable.

Good morning everyone!

Kay - I hear you on that one! I am too young to be slowing down like this. I told the NP yesterday that it is hard to accept the fact that it now takes me almost 4 hours to clean a bathroom that used to take me 20 minutes. I have to take too many breaks.

Kelly - Deep breath. Do you have ear plugs? LOL. I get the noise thing as well as the spazzy stuff. I can't deal with that anymore either. I can't deal with too much stimuli anymore. I'll be thinking of you this weekend.

Weave - Good luck at the garage sale tomorrow. No news will be good news.

Hi everyone else. I hope you all have a good day.

I grew up In East Liverpool, Ohio and lived in Washington, PA for three years while teaching at California University of PA. Most of my family still live in the Pittsburg area. It is amazing how much it has changed over the years. I frequently get to the Robinson area when I am home visiting and last month went to Ross Park to shop and eat at Cheesecake Factory.

I am not originally from this area, but my husband is. I grew up on the Oregon coast, but I have lived in the Pgh area for about 19 years now. We live just in the next township over from Robinson (Collier Twp), so you were very close to me. We will have to meet up next time you are in the area! You can discuss Poli Sci with my 11 year old son!

Thanks for asking! Grandma is doing pretty well. I'm kind of a mess these days, but she doesn't notice. I keep trying to post more here, but can't keep up just like the rest of my life:rolleyes::(.

something about this IKE has a song buried in my head so I figure best way to solve it is to put the song in your heads lol

Artist: Campbell Glen
Song: Galveston
Album: Very Best of Glen Campbell

Galveston, oh Galveston, I still hear your sea winds blowin'
I still see her dark eyes glowin'
She was 21 when I left Galveston

Galveston, oh Galveston, I still hear your sea waves crashing
While I watch the cannons flashing
I clean my gun and dream of Galveston

I still see her standing by the water
Standing there lookin' out to sea
And is she waiting there for me?
On the beach where we used to run

Galveston, oh Galveston, I am so afraid of dying
Before I dry the tears she's crying
Before I watch your sea birds flying in the sun
At Galveston, at Galveston

everyone in harms way please be careful, please, be a drag to deal with neurological illness all this time, to only make a foolish mistake in a hurricane and get hurt or worse.

FinLady 09-12-2008 10:13 AM

Good morning, all.

It's supposed to rain here until Monday. :rain: Which is ok, our grass needs it - LOL. My prayers for those in Texas in the path of Ike.

The Chili came out good. It's gonna be our lunch today too.

I do feel like doing a commercial right now along the lines of "this is your brain, this is your brain with MS". I've been not doing too well in the thought department these past couple of days. :( Been doing a lot more puzzles and such to keep it going the past few days, so hoping this passes soon.

Take care and be safe everyone. :grouphug:

gracias, bonita senorita!

with SPMS I hardly ever get real (clear, obvious) exacerbations.

but this seems to be one.... a resurgence of old sx (TN, RLS, L'Hermittes', spasms, fatigue, urinary urgency and incontinence, legs buckling, vertigo, double vision, ad nauseam), plus a couple of NEW sx, leg spasticity in NEW places, severe cognitive issues (losing $, forgetting names, etc.)...

ARGH !!!

so, when there's an injury (sprained ankle) or spine knocked outta whack, aded to the PILE, well, it's almost unbearable...

see, I could *deal* with three, four, five annoying things at once, but when there's this MOUNTAIN of physical problems, it's increasingly difficult to handle.

add in having a guest for several weeks, (with serious marriage problems), and two goats giving birth, and vehicle problems, and a giant noisy nation-wide PARTY going on (they consider it Belize's "birthday" sorta like 4th of July stateside), and I feel like I just can't COPE...

I need quiet, and dark, and alone-ness, to curl up with my book, and try to sleep, but there's five people busy in the kitchen (friends working on a fabulous meal) so resting is OFF the table for a few hours.....

well, I went to the veggie market this am, fed all my animals, stripped the bed, and now I'm so exhausted I could cry.

wah wah wah wah wah wah wah!.
