Politics Political Spin Cycle

A humorous but real example on how a political perspective can change, depending upon what the goal is. This one's on the Republicans (specifically Sarah Palin's nomination) but that's not my point in posting this -- the Democrats are not innocent of this activity either. (Haven't found a clip yet but there's got to be one out there or coming!) I hope that ALL parties will enjoy the clip! Politics can be funny.

Have you watched any of the shows from last week? I think we should get all news from Jon Stewart LOL

This is Fridays show--my favorite part was when he started talking about all the old shows starting with 8 is enough. Too funny...

I also liked the part where the reporter tried to lean in and kiss that girl. The look on her face was hilarious

While your at it look at Thursday's too

I never watched Jon Stewart before this, not because I didn't like him, just never saw the show. Humor is a good thing, besides I am voting for Victor...see other thread...Sue

Thanks for providing those links -- I will definitely watch them. I've been a little lax in my Daily Show watching lately and I need to get on it again, LOL! There's just so much real news right now as opposed to, in John Stewart's own words, fake news, LOL Even though it's not really fake but it does poke fun, while often being very revealing! Honestly, if I couldn't find any humor in politics I think I'd be tearing my hair out!

I can't vote for Victor, Sue. I am already voting for JessieSue and Doody.

I could not access any of the links provided but ironically, I had the Daily Show on just now and I probably saw the segment Beary sited. I may go to youtube and look around.

I like Jon Stewart. I have to start watching his political satire again.

And IMHO Vic can be more useful on a local level when he is not in Hawaii.

Post-convention updates have been entered at http://www.factcheck.org/

I love this site and go there often during primary and election time. Perfect examples of how both parties slip up on the actual facts and/or distort them as it suits their purpose.

BTW, if anyone can't get to that Comedy Central link in the first post, try this one instead (it appears they changed the url): http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/in...=184086&title=
