No Melody, I don't think that any politician worth his or her salt will ever try to mess with Social Security. Even in these tough times.
But I gotta say that I'm glad that Social Security never got privatized like "they" wanted to do in the recent past. Then we WOULD be in a pickle. Privatizing would have turned the whole thing over to the investment bankers on Wall St. And we now see where that would have ended up. I hope that discussion never comes up again!
