Good Evening Friends~ A beautiful day here in Ililnois. I drove about 45 mins through the countryside to the cemetary where my parent's are buried. The trees were magnificent in their colors or burgany, gold, orange, yellow~

Today is the 5th anniversary of my Father's passing, and I had a very peaceful drive while reflecting on the events of the past 5 yrs. (some good, some bad)

Hi everyone! I'll confess -- I did not try to read all of the posts. I had a good weekend with my niece, sister, and brother in law. Anya was a very cute butterfly for Halloween and a beautiful flower girl for the wedding yesterday. She actually made it all the way down the aisle:). It was a high Mass with 3 priests officiating. It lasted one hour and 20 minutes. Yes, I looked at my watch. We sat in the children's room for most of the wedding where you could kind of see and hear what was going on. The reception was fun (for awhile) but noisy. They had a mariachi band and a dj. It was fun watching everyone (from age one to 80) doing all of those crazy dances, but I felt kind of bad that all I could do was sit there and watch. We were gone yesterday for 13 hours (driving to the wedding, pictures, church service and reception, drive home) which is a very long day for me.

So my house is quiet once again now that they have flown back to Texas, which is both a good and bad thing. I am pretty tired, so I am not looking forward to school tomorrow. I was in a bit of a stupor this morning after they left and I only drank one sip of champaign and 1/2 of a glass of bad wine last night.:rolleyes:

Tuesday should be an interesting day. I have been invited to a few election parties, but I think I will be staying at home on my sofa.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. The weather is beautiful here in Illinois. It is supposed to be in the mid 70s most of this week; I had to dig out some of my capris that I put away. I have my MRI to look forward to on Thursday. I am driving my self this time (about 50 miles each way) so I am not going to take anything prior to the test. I have taken lorazepam the past 3 times. Wish me luck!

Mornin' ya'll!!! We're supposed to get into the 70's here, too, through Thursday. It does this every year...and then the bottom drops out and it gets cold.

So......does anyone else wish this election would just BE OVER? I am so tired of all the local politician TV ads...they come on constantly and I have a couple just about memorized!

I don't have much to do today....just laundry and I think I might clean my bathroom floor with my Steam Mop. I have too much energy this morning and I need to find something productive to do with it. I cooked last week so that's done. I wish I could start the lawnmower and I'd try to clean up the back yard......but I know I'd pay dearly for that tomorrow so I won't even think about it!

Barb, I cannot imagine being out for 13 hours.....but I'm glad you enjoyed your family being with you. Glad little Anya was feeling better.

DM, I will be making that trip to my parents burial site in a couple of months. I need to take some new flowers as the ones I put out last year mysteriously disappeared. Probably the wind.....

MY UPDATE: very busy weekend. had my ds19 home so we had a
bday party for him and my dh. 19 people for dinner sat.... a mix
of my family, their deceased dad's family and friends. Interesting
mix of peeps to say the least.:rolleyes:;)

I think my son has grown at college(not out , up lol) He has got to be six one at least. He is still struggling with his knee but seems in good spirits.
He said he feels better now he sees Tom Brady(qback for ne pats) going
thru the same thing as he did. He feels Tom probably has the best docs
in the world and it still got infected. I guess it just happens to some.:confused::(

Yesterday I just hung with kids and rested as I was beat up from Halloween
and the party the following day.

Today I have to volunteer in my ds5's classroom for an hour. it is alot of fun.
Then Im putting in a call to my ds16's doc for some advice. Hopefully I will
get somewhere as he thinks he is playing indoor lacross starting this Sunday
but Im NOT! signing the papers!!!!!
