Frank, everyone's right, it's no use, you just don't have a clue...:Scratch-Head:
I understand that when you have energy, and stuff to do, you like to take advantage of it to go like gangbusters...but you need to slow down just a weee bit so that you are also giving those you love the energy they need from you...leave a bit for them, okay?

Good luck on the show Jenn!!

Deb, take care of yourself...watch a funny DVD...Marx Brothers are my favorite. Lifts the mood, increases endorphins if you laugh...

My pain and spasms have diminished since yesterday...so I think I'll put off the call to the doc, since when I go without sxs it's blamed on depression...I am NOT depressed...stressed a bit, yes, but not depressed. And I'm meditating and doing stretching and relaxation exercises...

Have an absolutely wonderful day today, all!! It's great to be alive on this beautiful planet!!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes! :grouphug: Everything's gathered and ready to go. The one plus to doing things a little at a time, it's almost done by the time you need it to be. :)

Debbie D, Hope the spasms and pain stay away for ya.

Deb, Hope you feel better soon.

Frank, LOL. I'm definitely the pot calling the kettle black here, but rest up today if you can. ;)

Sarah, that's a great find! Hope you get a chance to look through them.

Barb, crossing fingers for no new leisons.

Everyone, :grouphug::grouphug:

Good morning Insights! Jim and I went out to get groceries and that's it. We went to Wally World again and spent too much money. We said last night no more grocery shopping at Walmart. They seem to think the food is gold or something and charge as much! Anyway, I did pick up some xmas lights for my new trees. I am contemplating lights on the house but I don't have the money. Who wants to take them down anyway when it's freezing right?

I have a ton of laundry to do. It's creeping out of the closet again and Sandy needs undies. I have my normal undies and my backup undies and ran through the backups already! :p Whoohoo! No commando here. :o

I can't keep up with all of you but I am reading. Deb (Frank's) pm or call me. How did yesterday go? I am worried about you girl.

:grouphug: to everyone!

Hi all,

It's a windy and rainy day in N. Illinois. Tomorrow the cold weather arrives, maybe some flurries by the weekend? Oh well, at least the plants are getting moisture to help them get through the winter.

Yesterday I raked and burned leaves. I also got my tetanus and flu shots done. I took six bags of winter clothes to Salvation Army. They were overflowing with stuff there! The guy I spoke to said that when the weather is nice, they get overwhelmed with donations. I'm guessing it's because people do their cleaning then? Anyway, it's a good thing to do, because needy folks can go there and get the things they need for free or a small fee. The thing they always need the most is baby clothes...

I donated books to the local library. Our sons often give me Borders certificates for a gift so I buy books, read them and donate them. I checked out The Kite Runner. I started reading it last night, and it really is a page turner.

I was tired after raking for about a half hour yesterday then vegged the rest of the night since I had to work today.

Someone in DH's family has planned Thanksgiving at their house, woo hoo!! :) I have an infusion the day before so I was hoping it wouldn't fall on us this year. I told DH I might want to have Christmas at our house, but he looked a bit leary when I said so. (His family crowd is generally anywhere from 30-50 people.) I love having them over but it sure wears me out between cleaning and cooking, even though they all bring a dish to pass.

My family is a small group, never over 20 but my sister or nephew usually host those dinners.

I hope you'll all have a nice day today. Sorry for not doing individual replies. :o I read all your updates though and it's comforting reading about your daily activities. I cheer for your accomplishments and empathize with your pains and sorrows. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

well, we didn't know SQUAT two years ago... we're doing it from books and the internet, and help from neighbors and friends (for example, doing a whole pig in the back yard, WHOA !!)

but we're not nearly self-sufficient... I just sent mi esposo off to the feed mill (the ferry's OPEN again, YAY !!!) for sacks of corn, milo, bran, and bunny pellets...

we just don't have the wherewithal to grow enough food for 250 critters on 6 acres...

but we're now planting cocoyams (taro), cassava, sunflowers, and rows of corn, to supplement... don't wanna get caught SHORT again, like last month when the roads, ferries and bridges were knocked out by tropical depression and unprecedented flooding.

oh, and I was just teasing about feeling guilty, dear heart.

I feel pretty good about it, because I know *exactly* how the food on my table was grown, fed, cared for, and humanely slaughtered.

Frank, I forgot to say, I just LOVE your blind farmer sig.pic !!!

oh, and my TextTwist score is now 11.244.840

:D

Wiz, I raked today too, under the bunny and guinea pig cages, and the gravel areas at the front of the house... got a blister on mah pore left thumb, lol!

I cleaned out the closets and drawers, and made up a big bag for the flood victims in the nearby villages, took it to the Belize Red Cross dudes, yay!

Kell, none of our turkeys are going to be dinner-sized for Thanksgiving... I'm planning ahead for Easter... so, what'd ya get? how many pounds, a tom or a hen? a regular Butterball, or free-range, organic type birdie?

Sandy! LOL, I have back-ups too! courtesy of a mother who constantly reminded us about being in a car crash or something, so it's ALWAYS the nice ones when we go out... <snickers>

Sarah, I love old love letters! bet they put hubby in the mood for some romance tonight, look OUT !!

DM, don't be in awe, honey, I'm sittin' here, dirty, messy, feelthy fingernails, hair tied up in a scarf, wearin' naught but t-shirt and undies, the bed stripped but unmade, the floor half-swept, trying desperately to CONJURE up the energy for a shower (which I know will make me feel both better and worse, clean, but tired!)

an all I see is a FLOCK of chores awaiting me, and two ducks in the pen awaiting this afternoon's plucking party... and gotta make modifications to Becky Bacon's house, as she's DUE any DAY now... ai yi yi yi !!

but at least my housepest is adiosed, eh?

:D:p:D
