Sandy:hug::hug::hug:, glad she is able to escape the hospital, do you think she stopped taking her meds, have you had a chance to ask her? Sorry you are all knotted up inside,:hug::hug:

I would go buy that crock pot vonnie you can always make extra and freeze it for later

I cheat also but just open another tab on my browser and open two NT's at same time its easier and i still screw it up and forget things, theres a surprise

Vonn,

I should get one of those big crockpots too. Mine is only four quarts and I bought it with green stamps about 30 years ago. I guess I can justify $16 eh? I wonder if the new one would last me 30 years? ;)

Hey all...well I handle cash and all with customers all day....my DT person at the last McDs used to have sanitizier in her booth....I wash hands quick if someone seems sick as they pass me money..then I wash hands...otherwise...gas pumps and all ..I know they have germs...but hey...I also believe if we overprotect from germs...we react to germs faster and worse...does that make any sense.....

anyhow....

couldnt read thru all the pages..sorry....cogfogged a bit here...

my parents arent doing too well....my mom is off and on again in bed with aches....but think her fibro is acting up as she keeps getting down about Madeline...and then my dad I guess hasnt slept very well since they lost Madeline....other than visiting more often..not sure how I should help...everyone has to work thru grief in their own ways.

I did tell each if they need to they could do greif counseling also....as Madelines hubby and one daughter are doing that together...where they live.

well, gotta run...out of milk...and gotta help one daughter deliver pies she had sold....this is why we never usually sell them as you have to get them..then keep them frozen and deliver...we went around twice now..and no luck with ppl being home. I told her to call each this time before we leave the house.

She is doing fundraisers, to go in spring with Choir group to Mackinac Island...they are going to stay in the Grand Hotel....woooooo...

I love you all..and keeping all in my prayers...sending all hugsssss, sarah

hey Kelly ... we may have to go back to Green Stamps - here's the website::

http://www.greenpoints.com/info/inf_...asp#STAMPWORTH

Wiz - the crocks (and there were a nice array of sizes) ... and some really nicer ones for more $$ ... but, they are always a good option ...

I usually buy my electronics from Big Lots ... and they work just fine!!

Frank ... first, I have no room at this point .. have to clean out somemore stuff ... I have a taste for hash on toast lately ...

Sandy - That is good news. I will keep you in my prayers as I know it must be so hard on you to be so far away. Additionally, I will keep your mom in my prayers as well.

Now Twink, I DID NOT do all of that yesterday. LOL I would be fried today and the next, and the next . . . I was making a point. My old self would have been able to accomplish all of that and then some. But my new self . . . well, :o:(. The point was to rest and not overdo it.

Kelly, Wiz, Barb - I remember those green stamps as well as putting them in the book for my mom. I wish they still had those. They were great.

Fin - This is kind of spooky. DBF was asking me yesterday if I knew how to make chicken & dumplings. Of course, I don't. So I was going to call his sister this evening to get her recipe as she makes awesome chicken & dumplings. I log on here this afternoon and there is your recipe. I'm going to have to try that as it seems much easier than DBF's sisters. Thanks.

I used to make chicken & dumplings from scratch when I lived in Florida all the time. Tonight I made homemade chicken soup. Yesterday we picked up 2 chicken friers, cut them up to freeze and then I boiled down the rest to make soup tonight. We ended up with 5 meals from the chickens after we cut them up and then we will have 2 meals of the soup. Not bad for $10. And DBF can cut them up pretty easily. They were on sale for $.88 a lb - pretty cheap if you ask me. The soup was so good - no noodles just chicken and stir fry veggies. I cheated and used a frozen bag instead of cutting them up myself plus a can of garlic tomatoes. yum yum!

Glad everyone is doing good! :grouphug:

good night lads and lassies...

gonna hit the hay, and try to get some sleep.

gotta be up at 5 for wholesale market tomorrow, need 100 lbs of cabbage, and 50 lbs of carrots... and a crate of lettuce... (a dozen heads), a flat of bell peps, a 5 gallon bucket of tomatoes, and a sack of taters.

gonna make assembly-line food for the freezer, stuffed peppers, cabbage rolls, and some sauces... that way, we have "instant meals" for those difficult days.

and two ducks to pluck, and three chickens... whooo-boy, gonna be a long day tomorrow... luckily, it's all sitting work, and we stream Air America Radio while we work, and chat, real homey and comfy-like.

so, good night, sleep tight, don't let the bed-bugs bite!

(that one was for you, NaeNae honey!)

well time to get a kid up and take him to work hope the morning sun finds you all doing well:hug:
