Sox, glad you're feeling better today. :hug:

Trish and Vonn, Did you try to look under "McDreamy" when you searched the catalog? :D ;)

more update::

I'm watching the geese out on the ice! too funny!

this should go on the 'thinking' thread ... I think I'm thinking too much - my old self wants to conquer the world (okay, takeover) ... with all my projects ... and I have these 'panic' attacks that there's so much I can do - that I get so frustrated trying to do it all ...

anybody have any cures?? I talk to yous - because you are the only ones that know and listen .. thanks!!

They do this now to a degree. If they worked in the same office they would have even more time to hatch their evil schemes. The fact that they wouldn't be working in the same room doesn't matter at all. It would also give them lots of too convenient and built in time to go window shopping (car, apartment, etc.) before coming home after work. I know this goes on now too but it would happen even more if they worked in the same office.

DD says she has her own mind but she is only a teenager so she lacks the wisdom of someone older. And I am not stupid enough to trust much of anything that comes out of the mouth of someone who wants to divorce me! So if DH tried to tell me he would behave I'd say rubbish! :p

Men! :mad: (apologies to frank, jim, moose, and the few other good ones out there :D)

If DH is smart :rolleyes: he won't toss DD's name in the hat.

Good morning everyone! Frank and Deb, the display looks beautiful! I bet you were surprised Deb!

I need to do the laundry today. I have two baskets calling my name.

For all of you having pain today I pray it clears up soon. :hug:

My brother isn't talking to me. He wont respond to any of my calls or texting. I wish his wife would have left me out of it. Watch, they will get back together and I'll be shunned. Ugh.

Jim's having some back pain in his lower spine area. I adjusted the hardness of the bed and he's better today. Whew, I was worried about his kidneys.

Have a good day everyone. :grouphug:

FinLady 11-19-2008 01:28 PM

Sandy, :hug: :hug: Sorry to hear your brother is not returning your calls. Happens sometimes. :(

Vonn, :hug: learning to manage what needed done and not get overwhelmed by all I had to do took me a long time, and I still push a little too much. :rolleyes: I try doing blocks of time sometimes. This morning, did dishes and some straightening up. Around lunchtime I went to the store to get some things. Now I'm resting before I head to the next project.

Doesn't work for everyone, but that's the way I do it. And it's something that needs adjustment each day based on how I'm feeling.

Weave, :hug::hug:

~~~~~~~
LOL, the earlier conversation makes me wish it was Thursday. I'm a huge Grey's Anatomy fan. ;)
Got some painting to do later on. Hubby liked the cards I made for another project so much, he wants to do it for our Christmas cards. Hope I can get this done for him in the next couple of days. (you know, I really need a smiley that's crossing it's fingers - LOL!)
awwwwwwwwww, Cuz... TN stinks, majorly!
:hug::grouphug::hug:
I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy... when it's at its worst... (stab stab stab, twang, twinge, ZING) it makes me gasp and tears trickle down... this from the woman who had unmedicated homebirths (yeah, I'm one tough mama, lol!)
I'm so sorry you're one of us unlucky MS'ers who get stuck with it, and I hope yours goes away PRONTO, or at least, doesn't get BAD, or continuous. (I'll be praying HARD for you, dear, for a minimal course!)
the only hope I can offer you is that the nasty bout I had last summer has NOT repeated itself, except for a few poke-pokes here and there, it's mostly subsided (oh thank you thank you, merciful heavens above!)
with that said, I have to agree with Trish who said Baclofen probably won't help with this charming symptom.
only two things work for me... to back the pain off to a bearable or manageable level.
1. Butalbital (generic for Fioricet, a headache medicine with barbiturates, Tylenol, and caffeine)
2. Medical Marijuana - taken in pre-emptive fashion, one small special brownie the day BEFORE - means less stabs the next day.
weird, but it works.
************************************
Vonn, baby steps, baby steps !! do just a little, rest, then a bit more...
if you look at the WHOLE PILE of stuff that needs to get done, you'll end up overwhelmed, and perhaps not willing to tackle it at ALL.
so, leetle teensy baby steps, promise?
oh, and one of my favorite things to do is sit on my porch, and watch my goosies cavort.
Soxie, now you've got me sitting here trying to convince my Polish hubby to get his hindquarters in the kitchen and whip up some pierogies !!
good luck with your project, hope the taste fulfills all your fondest memories, and highest expectations...
remember, practice makes perfect!
:grouphug:
Weave, you have the patience of a saint, and I concur with you and everyone else, the daddy-daughter working environment may be a recipe for disaster, and choosing up sides... hope you guys can work it all out amicably... with the least emotional suffering possible.
Sandy, tell the laundry "La la la la, I can't HEAR you!" and then get some earplugs.
:p
I've had one unmedicated birth (I'd rather walk on shards of glass than do that again! :eek:) and this TN pain isn't nearly as bad as that was....thank goodness. Actually, I'm much better but I've been taking Ibuprofen all morning so I'm guessing that's helping it. That or I just have a very mild case of it.
Vonn07 11-19-2008 02:05 PM
got it .. thanks everyone ... I'm trying ... and trying NOT to take on too much ... still whittling down on projects ... but there's so much I want to do!!
I have things to do ... people to see ... places to go ...
on top of thinking about moving ... just because I haven't found "that" place where I'm happy ...
what a goof I am, huh??
This is why it's always a good idea to do trial runs for recipes like this. :) Glad you had fun making them.
I have a few family recipes that I'm both excited and scared to try. Turns out no one in my family really follows a recipe and they all add their own twist to it. Took me forever to figure that out, LOL. But that's ok, 'cuz I have a tendancy to do it too. ;)
