I think I just died and went to heaven! The buff cutie showed up and I was showered and ready. LOL.

Sandy - DD18 was shocked that the police hadn't shown up. But I explained to her that if they had a choice of going to some lady's house because of a stolen iPod or a lady whose husband just beat her, who are they going to chose.

The cop took all the information and made a report. The whole situation is bizarre and he said without the serial numbers on the TVs and other things this kid had to sell, they couldn't do much.

We did talk about the kids behavior and the possibility he was either on something or withdrawing from something the last night he stayed here. The whole thing is suspicious. DBF was going to buy one of those TVs today and I told him we aren't buying anything from that boy. The boy was going to call me today about the TV and I haven't heard from him.

The cop was great at talking to DDs about drug users/homeless people's behaviors. It was good for them to hear it from him in addition to what I talked to them about last night.

Christmas Shoppers - I am so jealous of you who have started/finished. My Christmas "crafts" haven't EVEN begun yet. In fact, I haven't even given it much thought. I only need to buy for DDs and make something for my brother and his family. I am going to make toffee to give as little gifts. It is truly a labor of love as you have to stand at the stove stirring for almost an hour. But it is so good and every year, friends and family ask me to make it for them.

DBF and I made an agreement not to buy each other gifts. We have been doing that for years now. Instead, we do little things for each other throughout the year.

Sandy, As a Christmas Eve baby, I want to let you know that the whole combination birthday/Christmas gift thing just does not cut it.:p Hope you are not getting sick. I can not stand the smelling leaves burning. They still allow it here, although if you call the police and complain then they will tell the culprits to put out the fire.

I have my list ready for my shopping trip. If I can get half of it done, I will be happy. I am mostly looking forward to eating out at some good restaurants. I think Joe's Crab Shack, P.F. Chang's, and Cheesecake Factory are on our possible list. Looking at the directory for the mall is overwhelming. I mainly want to go to Macy's and a few shoe stores (that is for me:)) at the mall, and Land's End, Border's and a Super Target. My friends have much longer lists. I will probably be napping back at the hotel.

I need to go find something to eat and then finish my packing. Hope you all have a good weekend.

Did I mention I have the week off?:D

JustWeave 11-21-2008 08:09 PM

I could be wrong but it doesn't look like DH did anything stupid today. Whew. The DD working in his office battle is still going on though. They hired someone for the original job but want someone for else for something with less hours. White carp is falling from the sky again. Yuck!

Have a great weekend everyone! I hope mine is okay.

And Frank... prayers and cyber hugs may not seem like much to you but they mean the world to me.

My prayer/ hug buds Thanks so much. Today was a really rough day.

sabimax 11-21-2008 08:24 PM

Hugss Weave for your rough day!!

hugss to all...eating some yummy banana bread. My mom came over to Walmart with me, as I did my talk at work with someone, my mom shopped a bit. Then we did a few things thru store together, then got some hot choco at my work. then home..she had a banana bread ready for me when I picked her up. She baked 4 loaves and had one for me. what a mommy...hehe:D

My family day after THanksgiving will be heading down for the burial of my sister, they did funeral back when she passed, and she was creamated, and now they will be doing burial sat after Tday. This time I am not doing the long travel and the emotional good byes more, I decided to hard on me and my body. I was really struggling badly at funeral with limping and struggling. So chose to stay home and not do the long drive and all. I emailed my bro in law explaining in detail between the long trip and my health. He understood. Plus day after Tday is BIG Sales day at my McDs since in a Walmart. We will open early at 5am.

well going to snuggle the rugrats and finish my banana bread late dinner lol....and head to bed early tonight...feeling pretty darn good...and not too sore from all the hard cleaning work I did yesterday. But dont want to push the feeling good days too hard, as I already worked hard at work. Pacing self.

hugssss,sarah

I assure you, they agree. BUT, since they have grown the presents are getting more expensive so if it's a lot it's a combo. :D

They still get stockings for xmas. :o :p

Wow, I'm the first one up this morning...of course, I've been awake since about 1:45 am...
love this IVSM...no stiffness, pain, so much energy I can't believe it!!
and very little sleep. four to five hours, a few here and there, and that's it.
I'm finished with the 3 day IV, now begins the oral prednisone...and the weight gain. I've cut down my eating to about 1000 calories/day now, and I'm moving around more, so maybe I won't gain the 15 lbs I did while on the oral dose last year:eek::eek:

I got a call from the nurse who's going to set up my copaxone shot tutorial...autoinject YES!! I hope that this drug continues my decline in sxs...I really can't believe how great I feel. Like a 25 yr old again. Except I am a bit grouchy off and on...oh well, can't have everything!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! Take care of yourselves, and enjoy....

sabimax 11-22-2008 07:26 AM

oh leave it to good old prednisone to pep you up and make you feel like 25 heheheee

here I am on the taper...suppose to have done the 20mg then 10mg..in two day segments...and each time about to go down notch...I say well 3 day segments are good...down on 10mg now for third day...then promise to head down to 5mg only two days then 2mg two days....just the effects of energy..wow....

I now feel a bit sore in back from two days ago cleaning spree...but a good sore..if such a thing? I know my muscles got a workout for once. I havent gained on the prednisone this time...(last summer on oral I did..well only have had oral never IV)

Heading to work, and before lunch picking up pizzas for my crew...sweet Manager...having a pizza day once a month...(or subs or something)....then I am gonna try to order some holiday McD tshirts to give each...since only 12 of us....and late December I let the group where holiday shirts..McD or other as long as appropriate...to work. Just another fun thing or differnet...

hugssss all gotta take meds and head out, sarah

Happy weekend people! I have got to go to the fabric store for stuff for two more blankets, and stop for a few groceries and go get my son who stayed over at my cousins last night. I have already told Sandy but here's my news....I had my 3 month probationary evaluation yesterday and It's official I am now a permanent employee, and I got a raise!! Yay! I got the highest marks possible on 23 out of 25 categories and above average in the other two!
