Weave dont think that way, you have as much chance as anyone, you dont know what they want maybe they want someone now influenced by other companies procedures or training, maybe someone fresh like you is what they want, you go in there thinking you are qualified and no if ands or butts about it,
go in negative and you wont get it, think +++++++++++++ positive Weave:hug: |
Good morning everyone! I hope you are all having a good morning.
Weave - Ditto what Frank said. Tami - I hope you complained about the service that you got (or didn't get). There is no excuse for that and you and Olhipie don't deserve that kind of treatment. Fin - Glad you got a full 8 hours in. Yeah! Look out everyone - Fin got a full nights rest. LOL Sox - Hope the weather is good tomorrow as well. Wiz - Have you thought of a chore chart with little stars on it and when he gets so many stars he gets a surprise? LOL j/k I agree with DebbieD on getting someone in once a month to do the detail work. Hi everyone else I know I missed. Thinking of you too. Not doing much today. I woke up a little more energetic and straightened up my living room and kitchen. Now I'm ready for a nap. I've only been up for 2 1/2 hours. I just have to share this . . . I have the sweetest sister in the world!!!! She bought our Thanksgiving dinner yesterday - a small turkey breast and all the fixings PLUS 2 pies cause she knows I am having trouble right now and may not be able to make them. What a doll she is.:hug:'s for my sister. |
Frank- I am thinking good thoughts and will give it my best shot tomorrow. Truth is I have some things for me and some against. I think the against far outweighs the for though. This is the first job I have gone after in many, many years. For me to get the first thing I go after would be nothing short of a miracle. Especially in these very tough times.

Morning! Yesterday went well and we were able to negotiate a good price and hopefully things will go as planned. I am waiting for the mobility place to call me back as I have some safety questions.
Ok, the plan is this. We are trying to get a grant from an organization here in Chicago. They get their money from the Illinois veteran's lotto and from other organizations such as the MS Society. We've applied to both. If we get the grant it will help us to install a inclined platform lift on the stairs leading to the basement for Jim to be more independent. If the inclined platform doesn't work (weight issues, Jim's pc is heavy) we'll have to go with an elevator. That is very costly so we're hoping they have industrial strength inclined lifts. I am waiting for the call now to check it out. If we have to go with an elevator it will be placed in Jim's walk in closet. No news to if we are getting the grant but we're praying. There is no way we can afford it alone. Any help will be appreciated from them and we know we may have to pitch in as well. We will be selling back our stair lift and ceiling lift to help with cost. -------------------------------------------- I hope this finds everyone doing well. Try not to overdo this holiday so you can all enjoy it. |
My prayers go to you Sandy for the funds to come for whatever they feel will help Jim.
Today I get the great pleasure of taking my Mom to see her doc...I really don't want to but who else can...She has had major health problems. She has been in and out of the hospital four times in the last month. She has a pretty bad ulcer. Later the Olhipie and I will be out shopping. Did buy the bird last night. Hope you all have a great day!! http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/j...byw218uq-1.jpg |
Tammy, sorry to hear about your mom. I dont know how you do so much. I know someday I'll be in that very position with my mom as she's not going to be able to live alone forever.
Have fun shopping today. Hey, buy yourself something, you derserve it. I do that every year even if it's just something small like a blouse or something. |
Good Morning Everyone!
I am still in the recovery phase from my trip. I could hardly walk when I got up this morning, but my legs are moving a bit better now. Doing some laundry and trying to clean up the house a little bit. I have a dentist appointment this afternoon. Otherwise, I am planning on reading a good (I hope) book. Tricia, I hope this is not a flare, but if it is I hope it is a mild one. Jenn, Glad you got some sleep. I have learned my lesson. I definitley plan on avoiding the mall in Polaris when we visit. Frank, That wasn't alot of snow yesterday?:D Sorry, I did not get a chance to call. When we were not shopping or eating, I was in the car or my room resting. The traffic up there was horrible! Wiz -- Hope you husband see the light and starts helping more. What would he do if you just went on strike at home for a week? Sandy -- Hope the funding comes through for you guys. That would be great if it helped Jim be more independent. Soxmom -- Please send me a piece of pie. I cannot bake at all. Debbie -- Getting the dx can be a shock as well as a relief, in a weird way. good luck with the copaxone. Weave , I can see that we/you need to work on your confidence level:). Just go in to the interview convinced that you are the best person for the position. Make sure you emphasize your impressive organizational skills. Where's Vonn? Hi to everyone else! |
Barb - I did call the neuro yesterday but haven't heard back. However, being the ding dong that I am, realized this morning that I still have this headache and have had it since Friday. Well, I had a duh moment and called my PCP to get in about a possible sinus infection. My MS symptoms go crazy when I have a sinus infection.

I'm so tired, my eyelids are growing heavy..... ****************************** my update dealiebopper: BAD news for Cayo, an outbreak of a virulent form of Newcastle Disease... they're slaughtering flocks wholesale, nearly 30,000 chickens yesterday here in Cayo. The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) has received a report dated 22 November from the veterinary authority in Belize. The report describes three outbreaks of Virulent Newcastle disease. All are located at Spanish Lookout in the Cayo district in the western part of the country. In total, 29,500 birds were involved on three farms of layers and broilers. http://www.thepoultrysite.com/poultr...castle-disease we are FREAKING out here, just a little bit.... our farm has turkeys, geese, ducks, and chickens, around 200 birds (give or take a few), and they're all susceptible, so PRAY for us, please? so, all morning I've been researching symptoms, treatment, vaccines, etc. http://www.defra.gov.uk/animalh/dise...stle/index.htm |
