Morning! I am getting ready for the MIL to come by for a bit. Then I am off running to Walmart to get things to eat and some stuff for Thanksgiving. Jim pooped out on me so he'll stay here. I think he's afraid of the cold. lol

I just hope people aren't there freaking out because the only turkey left is breast! ROTF!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

I laugh even harder since hubby's brewing of the coffee WAS what woke me up this morn. :D

Sarah, totally understand what you mean about muscles feeling that good soreness of having done stuff. :hug: You are a cool manager for doing stuff like that for your crew at McD's.

Not too much to update here. May putter around a little bit.

Since I'm in Buckeye territory and my hubby's what they term around here "a convert" - "THE GAME" will be on the tv in a little while. Need to hunt up the OSU sweatshirt he got for me, lol

We have plans to meet some of our friends for dinner tonight at red lobster, so need to pace myself today so we have a good time tonight.

looks like its going to snow here, we got invited to son and his fiances for dinner but they both asked me to cook the bird and make the gravy and stuffing:smack: I told them why not just have it here, but she wants to host, she isnt sure how to do a bird, soooo i warned kid get a tom turkey two days ago and i bet he waits till last minute and to thaw it in ice box early monday morning if frozen, he really doesnt listen well I got a huge tray of lasagna i am thinking we may be having :Doh:

Frank, I remember the first time I cooked Thanksgiving dinner. We went to my dad's place and he taught me how to make the turkey. My hubby made his family's recipe for stuffing. I was so thankful for the help since I didn't know that a lot of those turkeys have a bag full of stuff in their cavity. That could've turned out really funny! But in the end it turned out great, and I have managed to repeat the feat two more times now. Hope that no matter what happens you have a good time. :)

lol my aunts first bird had stuffing ala bag lol we still call here and remind here lol

someone on the other site had posted on a whoops thread about how proud she was had the bird cooked on a platter and turning around too quickly the bird slid off the plate and had one last flight lol, for the world i cant remember who it was but i can not stop thinking of that lol think it was a bird might of been a ham either way i would of paid to see the look in her eyes lol

I'm trying to get the Olhipie up to go out for breakfast. My daughter and her sig other work at this great diner and they are both working today...so they want to cook us breakfast. Too fun!!

I'll be out shopping alone later also Sandy...Football day. Big rivals here in the state...BYU ant University of Utah. He will be in a tv coma for most of the day.

I wish it would snow just a little bit so it might feel a little more like the holidays...

it is bright day outside, I was numbing up my right arm at work..and having some issues...but managed ok...busy BUSY day..and it felt good...I think I miss the big big sales of a bigger store...funny huh...the busier the nuttier it gets..and somehow I MISS that...hehehehe

I am now home, in jammie pants...relaxing starting some laundry, and having tons of water...as I didnt get time to drink much at work...so catching up my water....

then eat a healthy snack, and start thinking dinner ideas...hmmm something easy hehe

about to light a candle, and get some Christmas music on...gets me in a peaceful mood.

Fin thanks..I LOVE Taking good care of my crew...even if now I am THE BOSS that they all hate...well not all hate me...but most think I am a meany...as before I got there nothign was done by the rules..and I have had to implement the rules...!!!!

I am also going to order some holiday McD shirts...to give away next few weeks...as treats for anyone working hard, fast, good things....

as then last few weeks before Christmas I allow all to wear any holiday tshirts (appropriate for work) to work for shifts instead of mcd shirts...gets the spirit kicking....

Also I set up a Customer appreciation days...where I ask my crew and team..to bake and we have goodies on counter for two days, for customers..with a thank you note on counter....I do this like a friday and Sat a week or two before Christmas....I have done this for years at my old store...so now going to implement it at MY store..now that I have a STore of my own to run....hehe

although small store..so not many bakers then...I might be baking a lot more with my kids..for it...maybe start the week before and freeze some ccookies...

I love the holidays...:)
although I havent shopped at all....no fun shopping with no money...:eek:

Half naked studs in leather chaps at that too Frank!!!! That and I talked a 7 foot tall ex razorback basketball player who is now a pharmaceutical rep to wear my red lipstick the whole time he was in our office.....and he did! That is one thing they said on my evaluation was that I was fun and funny! Thankfully they didn't mention the whole giving of the flu shot to the wrong patient....scatterbrained.....has 8000 sticky notes every where to remind her of things half of me LOL! Of course my doc is just as forgetful and she doesn't have an excuse!

I started and finished a knotted fleece blanket today, cleaned my whole house....did all the laundry....went grocery shopping....typical Saturday stuff.
