Good Morning! You all have been busy. It is still snowing here, but it is not sticking to the ground. The inch or so that we got yesterday has already melted.

It took me awhile to read all of the posts since last night. I am at school taking a break from grading. I only have 3 papers left from this class. Then I get papers on Wednesday and Monday. I also have a 80 page graduate thesis to read before next week. Then final exams, which of course are all essay, are the week of the 15th. I taught one class this morning, and then I have my grad seminar (two and a half hours) this afternoon.

I only have time to reply to a few of your posts.

Kay -- yes 20% is the correct figure. That is why tuition keeps going up, and maintenance on buildings keeps getting delayed. In the building where I have my office and teach, the ceiling tiles routinely fall from the ceiling. One colleague was hit in her shoulder not to long ago. We also have lots of leaks. The pension issue is scary. But there isn't anything I can do about it. Hopefully, I will be able to retire when I feel I can no longer teach. I still have a few years to go before I am eligible.

Kelly, Australia was okay. My friend liked it more than I did. It was long, a bit slow, and predictable. On the other hand, the acting was fine and the scenery was beautiful -- especially Hugh Jackman. I will give it 2 and 1/2 stars.

Frank, I buy cheap gloves too. I have already misplaced a pair that I bought last weekend.

Char, Good luck with the job search and I hope all goes well for your dog.

Weave, I have my fingers crossed for you.

Got to go now. Hope everyone is having a decent day. I will check back in tonight.

Well, I think we got about 4 inches but the wind is so strong it's hard to tell. Snow drifts are making it hard to measure. I am pretty sure we got more but who knows. All I do know is I have to go out and shovel. Blech! I have my gloves...neener neeener neener.

Char, prayers for Princess going up and for your job search.

Debbie D, don't fret over the temper stuff. It's Ok.

Weave, get busy so you'll forget the phone.

Barb, I saw that on the news yesterday. Chris is still waiting for his back check from the VA. I told him forget it, they probably freezed back pay.

Everyone else have a good day and stay warm.

The vet called and all is well! She ended up having 3 tumors removed. One Large on her shoulder which he said when he shaved the fur off was all bruised and had to be causing her pain. The other two were in her arm pit on the same side. One we knew about the second was behind in a muscle.

I applied at three different places at the mall this morning. One is hiring immediately so hopefully something will come up!

Frank & Barb - I had to laugh at the cheap gloves thing. Although gloves are not a necessity here sunglasses are. I buy the cheap ones because for the same reason Barb bought cheap gloves as well as the fact that they get scratched.

I am at a loss right now. I had my whole day planned out and the neuropsych's office called like 10 minutes before I was ready to leave. The dr is sick and they had to reschedule. I am so glad they caught me before I left as it is across town (about 1/2 hour drive). Phew! But, now what do I do. Guess I'll paint. LOL.

I am amazed at the weather you all are having. We still are having beautiful fall weather...in norhtern Utah you say. I hope it hits soon.

The Olhipie just woke and asked if we could put our tree up. We have a beautiful fake one that is a pain to put up...you have to put each and every branch in...so I cheated and went out and bought a beautiful tree that already has the lights on and put togethter in a few pieces.

Last year we had a Charlie Brown tree. I won't put a real tree up until a week before Christmas...scared to death of a fire because they are so dry. There is family up the street from us that sell trees. My daughter loves to buy a small one, thus the Charlie Brown...they a section of their lot that is called the 5 buck forest so thats where we usually get on from.

The Olhipie is just like a little kid when it comes to the holidays.

Give me the strength!!

Trish, sorry to hear they had to reschedule, but any excuse to paint is a good one.

Sandy and Frank, looks like we're going to get hit with more white stuff today. It's getting dark out there.

Barb, sorry to hear your school is falling apart. Hope everything works out for ya at retirement time.

Char, glad to hear things went well at the vet. Hoping for a good recovery.

Tami, we used to have one of those trees that required putting each branch in at a time. Now we have a three piece one. So much easier. Have fun decorating!

~~~~~~~~
Going slow around these parts. Little things are making me so tired today, so sticking with the usual chore suspects like dishes and laundry.
Might have to call doc back tomorrow. Just don't know yet, depends on how the day plays out.
Guess what??
If I squint and get real close to the window I can see a couple of snow flakes coming down!!
We're supposed to have a "wintry mix" today but nothing that will stick. It's still pretty when the flurries are here! It's not gotten out of the 30's yet and it's so windy.
I know you folks up North want to *smack* me about now!!
Whew! Got the shoveling done. It wasn't much but I had to use the shovel on the ice and the blower on the fluff. Bergie decided to play dodge while I shoveled the back deck. She is so darn cute when it snows.
Tammy, I have a real nice three piece tree. I love it. Show Craig my decoration pics a few pages back. He's like me at the holiday. lol
Char, good to hear Princess is fine.
Trish, the whole day to yourself? Paint it up girl!
Jenn, Jim is having on and off days lately. Cog fog hits and he can't finish a sentence until later. Messes me up because he'll remember about two hours later and I already moved on. lol The fatigue and weakness is reaching it's toll too. He sees the doctor tomorrow.
Kelly, if you were here right now I don't think you'd stay for long. It's "blustery" according to the weather man and I agree. haha
Oh Oh, I forgot to tell you guys this. I think the UPS guy hit on me this morning. lol You know how you get that feeling? Anyway, I was sound asleep and he knocked on the door. I opened the door and he handed me some packages. I told him I just woke up and he mentioned needing coffee. I said yep. He then asked me if I wanted him to come in and make it for me! LMAO I politely declined. Too funny. I told Jim and he said it sounded like he was wanting to come in. Ok, so maybe he just wanted a cup of coffee but it did hit me funny. Maybe it was because I was in my pj's with no bra on? ROTFLMAO
