I usually just lurk anymore but I had to tell you that all the talk of Chinese food last night caused me to order take-out Chinese!

I also wanted to tell DebbieD to ask for a sleeping pill while on the roids. My neuro always rx's Ambien if I want it to help.

Also, please note that many, many of us do not do a taper of prednisone after the IVSM. I did it once and once only because it was just harder on me and I felt better quicker after the withdrawal from the IVSM than with weeks of a taper. If you feel really crappy, call and ask about stopping the taper. I have done 2 years of 3 day IVSM pulse treatments every few months and did not once do a taper after the first one.

Also, do not despair if you do not feel really good right away. It usually takes me a couple of weeks after the IVSM to really feel different. All of a sudden, I will realize that some of the sx have improved.

Kay, Longaberger is not far from us. And yep, since they are a basket company - their adminstrative offices are in a building that's shaped like a big basket. Shocked me to see it the first time, lol

Sandy, hope Jim's appointment goes well.

Sox, glad you're feeling up to doing all you need to do today. Hope everything goes smoothly.

Debbie D, hope you feel better soon.

Kelly, not old and grumpy, just tired of the big to-do about something like that when so much else is going on in the world.

Trish, you overshot the goal with trying to send the warmth this way. It's really cold today.

~~~~~~~~
Hi all.
Got maybe four hours of sleep last night. Left message at doc's office, so hoping they call back this afternoon.
Should find out by tomorrow whether or not I'm gonna be in an upcoming art show. Keeping fingers crossed.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Totally understand. Half tempted to ask hubby if he wants it for dinner tonight, lol.
Holly - Thanks for posting that. Very well said. I too don't taper after IVSM and it does take me a few weeks to notice any improvement. However, most of my flares have been due to spinal lesions and it takes a good 4-6 weeks to start feeling any better. Additionally, my neuro doesn't give IVSM for spinal lesion flares as he feels the IVSM doesn't help. I just have to wait them out.
Żubrówka, (known in English as Bison Grass Vodka) is a brand of dry herb-flavoured vodka distilled from rye, 40% alcohol (80 proof). The raw rectified spirit is then mixed with a tincture made of Hierochloe odorata, often called bison grass. This grass grows in the Białowieża Forest, which is partly in Poland and partly in Belarus. A blade of this grass can be found in every bottle of genuine Żubrówka, but this is only decorative and is not the reason for its particular taste, aroma, and yellowish colour. Its name comes from żubr or zubr, the Slavic word for the wisent, which are particularly fond of the herb. The flavour is unique, and can be described as having vanilla, coconut and almond-like qualities.
I agree completely, with you Finny, and Kelly.
waste of time, money, energy, and life in general.
my son had a HUGE poster of Britney on his bedroom wall... it was all I could do not to puke...
that was a decade ago, and thankfully, his taste in women has drastically improved... (lol, he was only 14... at that age, I liked Peter Tork )
Howdy everyone. Sat in the living room all morning "wasting time" while waiting for the UPS dude to come for a morning pick up. So sick of looking at and falling over this huge box I didn't want to give them any excuse for leaving before I got to the door. So... When does he show up for his morning pick up? It is afternoon and he isn't here yet. Life moves on and so am I!
Still no word on the job. I hope I hear something today. I hate waiting!
DH was to meet a co-worker at 6AM this morning then drive two hours away for a job related refresher class. Co-worker never showed up or called but DH called me at 6:15 mad as all get out. At least I'll totally understand why he comes home in a rotten mood today. For the record DH was mad at Co-Worker not me and apologized for waking me up. I was awake anyway but the apology was a nice touch.
Well since I used the word nice in reference to DH... I don't have a clue what is going on as far any counseling goes. Need to make a phone call and see what's up. Wish I saw sunlight at the end of the tunnel but I don't.
Break over. Back to housework. Ick.
Weave - This is positive! 1. He called you when he was upset at this co-worker. He called YOU for support. That is a good thing. 2. He apologized for waking you up. He was thoughtful and conscientious. This is all good.
Thinking of doing some dishes. Cleaning lady coming today and the little bit I can do I don't have to pay her to do. My daughter thinks I'm crazy to have a cleaning that she can do it but she never gets the time...hmmm walk past the dish washer...put a few dishes in...hmmmm...she just tells me that I should have no problems loading a doing dishes in the new dish washer since it will scrub all the stuff off....well, here I go...load of wash on the way...Moi, I'm thinking of you. I just usually can't find my socks because they end up at my daughters house...she then brings them home to wash then I sneak them out! What an exciting life.
DH called me because he thought maybe his co-worker called the house after he left. He hadn't. When DH called me he had 1 hour and 45 minutes to make a two hour trip assuming nothing slowed him down on the way. He absolutely loathes being even a tiny bit late for anything. I think it snowed where he was going. He called me hoping for news from his co-worker who I think was going to do the driving. Now DH knows exactly how to get where he needed to go. So that is a plus. I know better than to think he called for support. Nevah!
The apology is still a nice thing though.
