Home and survived, took son dropped him off, I went to Walmart, and although I have all my Christmas stuff packed and kids took to basement..

you know Walmart was gonna have mega sales, I got quite a bit of stuff for next holiday for cheap..real cheap. 25cent Christmas ornaments..well they are actually christmas snowflake gift card holders. But, I will put the kids pics in each instead...and that will be there 2009 Christmas ornament for the tree. .25cents each woohoooo

I give them an ornament most every year, I try to find ones I can put a pic from that year, or an ornament I can write on with something so the year and name would be on them. Then once they move on, if they want them we will box the set up for each for their first trees. (some are a bit weary but most are strong ones that will last)

hugsss all, (legs are awful, but they dont keep me from moving anyhow, just irritating...so might be in for a rough night of sleep..I work tomorrow 7am-2pm)

Oh, my dad goes for a CAT scan Monday morning near by here, and then suppose to go to Marquette, hour away for a 345pm apt with the surgeon... funny here they made apt and set up the CAT so that he would have the results for apt I think. When my sister went with him friday for bloodwork, and then went to grab his drink for CAT scan, she mentioned the idea of them being read and carried out for apt. The lady just said to her, oh these are just preliminary!! My sister used to work in hospital Xray, so even though this is done at the other place, I am holding her in charge of calling them first thing in morning to make sure they plan to have them read and sent up or so they can pick them up before apt.

My son (17) flew out of Minneapolis today, going back to Nebraska after his Christmas break. He moved back down there for his senior year, the school is so much better where he lives. Sad to see MN schools deteriorating as they are ~ they used to be among the best in the country. His first flight was cancelled, they say because of ice (we've had freezing rain/drizzle all afternoon), though I think it was to save money..They re-booked all the passengers on an airbus, so they flew once instead of twice. Worked out OK, because he was pretty psyched to fly in the airbus..Called me a few minutes ago & let me know he got home OK..
That's about all the excitement happening with me. I'm just SO glad the holiday season is finally over. It was an emotional one, to say the least. I think next year will be a bit less painful..Hope everyone's doing well!

Congrats on your business Kay!! It also sounds like you had an interesting and fun day! Thanks for the well wishes! I'm feeling so much better than I did even just a few days ago. My evil cough is almost gone, but I'm still resting and pretty much being a bum until my follow-up appt this Friday.

My friend Donna came over this morning to entertain me....lol I'm getting a bit stir crazy. After she went home, I took a nap. Then I watched the playoffs this afternoon and evening........and that's about it.

hugss to all, and thanks again for the daddy well wishes. I am heading into work early today, and might stay a bit later, to do some of schedule I do tomorrow. Then Monday, tomorrow, I will head home by 1pm, as I will be done with schedule. I want to travel wtih my parents and sister to dads dr apt. Not sure going in or what, but I want to be there for him thru all this.

My parents came by last night, my mom had gotten new appliances (small kind) for kitchen just to change color..mostly I think hehe

anyhow, my dad knew I didnt have one, so he came over and installed the working under counter can opener that was at their house. Works fine.

Funny how you live close you dont notice changes as much till someone mentions it. Friends of my parents seen them new years eve for their party. They hadnt seen dad in months. Came into my work for food yesterday, and mentioned they worry about him since he is so light.

When he was over, I asked if he had been lsoing weight, he said he didnt know..asked where my scale is..so I had him weigh in..hehe he wasnt too light in any way. I think he is about 5'9" and weighs in at 173.5.

He has always been slender, so his face looks a bit lighter, so noticable I think. Also when people start thinking illness and cancers and all...they start to worry!!

He is strong, and Gods will I cant change, I was talking to one of my daughters last night about that...that you can pray..for someone.. but mainly pray whatever Gods will, keep grandpa strong...and keep us strong no matter what is meant to be thru it all. Also that if it is his time in years to come, as he is older too, as we can lose anyone at anytime..that he doesnt suffer. To keep us strong knowing Aunt Madeline, our baby Sabrina and many more family are in a wonderful peaceful place.

Good morning everyone! Well, some things never change.....I'm up and cats are asleep in my bed.....

I know I'll take a nap today. I went to bed early but woke up at about 1:15 AM and discovered that Kevin wasn't home yet!! He had been up at his girlfriends house...it was her mothers birthday so they all went out. So....I begin calling his cell phone and, of course, no answer. Tried again (after about 1 minute) and still no answer. Sitting at the computer trying to keep busy and I hear about fifty sirens going down the main highway behind my house............there's a jillion people in this county so why do I assume it's for my one family member still out? Finally.....he calls to tell me that he's on his way home. They had gone to the gym at 11:30 PM.... (24 hr gym he and gf belong to). Who has that much dadgum energy?????

Sandy, doesn't Jim ever sleep (while you're up)? Perfect time to make some "treats".

Well, I'm not going to try and mention everyone....I'm still amazed that this thread was on page 5 and was just started yesterday!

It's rainy and cool here and will be like this thru Wednesday. I have all my Christmas decorations down, too. I've often thought about just leaving the tree up and decorated, wrapping it in a big cotton sheet and putting it in the garage.
Would that be cheating too much??!!
